  1. If by that you mean "probably have a song or two that gets radio airplay, gets played at every high school dance for six months, tries to recover her career with a new album, fails, then fades to black forever", then yeah, you're probably right.
  2. I haven't been able to stop listening to Rivers Cuomo's Alone recordings...
  3. I got to touch the Sox trophy when they won in '04. And the Lombardi Trophy. I'm just a lucky guy.
  4. I'm pumped for the John Butler Trio's next album. It looks like it's going to be mostly rootsy but it has a metal, RATM-type song on it. It's going to be awesome.
  5. ^VH1 and MTV don't have a say in anything anymore. So it's not a big deal. They probably put that there to promote Chinese Democracy's sales and Guitar Hero sales for all I know. By the way, MTV has 16 new reality shows coming out this year. 16. New.
  6. ^ That was actually pretty good until he started singing. Then I turned it off after ten seconds. How do people seriously like this stuff?
  7. I'm pretty sure this "anus burger" is not as new as you may think. It's been popping up around the country for years. Yum.
  8. I'm one of those people that really liked Sin City so I was looking forward to The Spirit, since they seemed sort of similar. But then I saw the previews. They SUCKED. I knew this movie was going to be an enormous flop, critically and at the box office, since the first trailer premiered. And now, it's getting horrible reviews, everybody I know who saw it said it sucked, and it did terribly at the box office this weekend. Sorry Frank, stick to writing comic books. It's apparently all you're good at.
  9. Pitch a no-hitter. Learn to read sheet music. Write a rock opera. Go to at least 5 concerts. There's other things I would like to do, but I wouldn't really call them "resolutions".
  10. ^ They're playing at Showcase Live pretty soon, which is a small venue in Patriot Place at Gilette Stadium. I want to go, but I don't know anybody else who likes them.
  11. ^ Your username reminded me, I really want Weezer to release Songs From The Black Hole. I'd never ask for anything from Weezer ever again.
  12. I'm pretty excited for the Weezer/Oasis tour supposedly happening this spring. I'm also hoping for Radiohead or the John Butler Trio to stop nearby, but I'm not sure if I'm going to have to wait for 2010 for those.
  13. Can't Stop- RHCP
  14. No Surprises- Radiohead
  15. ^^^ Ok, if you think that is dumb, then you should seriously check out some of the things he says over at Coaster-net.
  16. This only has to do a little with The Dark Knight since they were released on the same day, but did anybody else hear that Mama Fucking Mia became the highest grossing movie of all-time in the UK?! It beat Titanic! MAMA MIA! I'm sure I'm not the only one who's a little WTFed out.
  17. No matter how good Black Ice is, it can never be better than Back In Black.
  18. ^^ I knew that, but I thought that's because it only came out as a digital download in 2007, but came out on disc earlier this year.
  19. I bought a copy of Rolling Stone yesterday because it had the 50 albums & songs of the year. To my surprise, I didn't find Radiohead or Coldplay or Plant & Krauss at number one, but there was some Brooklyn, NY band called TV on the Radio. So I did research and THEY ARE GOOD. REAL GOOD. Very energetic music, but I'm not sure you could say it was album of the year (to me, that's In Rainbows).
  20. We've only had it snow twice. That huge, disastrous ice storm didn't hit me, that's 20 miles from here. We got flooding instead. Each time it snowed, it was gone in ten minutes.
  21. ^ Even though it was a failure from a pop culture standpoint, Pinkerton is my 2nd favorite Weezer album (behind the blue album).
  22. Almost all of Oasis' other songs are better than Wonderwall.
  23. ^^That huge robot in the end is absolutely bad ass.
  24. Van Halen. Awesome lights, awesome tracks, and Eddie wasn't drunk and nailed every note! They were all in top shape (except Wolfie, he's a fat lard), and they did not play a single Van Hagar song! It was so awesome.
  25. Lately, I've been listening to Radiohead. They're one of my new favorite bands. They certainly aren't something your hear every day.
