Photo TR: Japan, including La Qua and Fuji-Q Highland.

Great TR and pics. I was drooling over that one of the big Ferris wheel. The animals were cute, too. Thunder Dolphin looks awesome, especially at night. The food- let's just say that one meal breaks one of my cardinal rules of food: Don't eat anything that looks back at you -
NHL: Colorado Avalanche; whoever Peter Forsberg is playing for at the moment (Nashville right now) any team called the Bulldogs, for obvious reasons (I got a really cool Hamilton Bulldog Tshirt) other sports- could care less. But I have to root for the Steelers, being from Pittsburgh.

^ I was "Corkscrewed" also! (my first) Loved it! The corkscrews are great. The loop- eh.

As others have said, be sure to keep your head against the neck rest. You don't even realize you're upside down. I've never been on it, but Calif Screamin seems to be a smooth coaster. Have fun!

Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?

Right here (in Pittsburgh) something I've never seen is happening- it's raining and thundering- but the sun is out! Weird. -
Cat Found With it's Eyes Spray Painted Shut!

This is the most horrible thing I've seen in a long time- it made me want to cry. After 15 years in law enforcement, I thought I'd heard and seen it all- whatever would possess somebody to do something like this? I'm sort of thinking it was a gang of kids, and I pray they don't grow up to be serial killers. -

Canada's Wonderland helmet problems

^ Just wondering why someone whose religious beliefs pretty much prevent him from wearing a helmet would enter the construction field..... -
Canada's Wonderland helmet problems
bulldogmom replied to CdnbMatt's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree that he should have had to wear a helmet like anyone else- rules are rules. They are meant for safety, not discrimination- as are the rules that people of extreme size can't safely fit into some rides. Although the idea about him signing a waiver is not a bad idea. -
Shari, my deepest condolences. Your mom sounds like she was awesome! How great that you and her had a hobby that you could share.

A Girlfriend that Honestly Loves Coasters?
bulldogmom replied to slick858's topic in Random, Random, Random
I also have wondered why there seem to be more male coaster and park enthusiasts than female. It's not really logical- fun is not specific to gender. I had a boyfriend once who loved coasters as much as I do- we travelled all over going to numerous parks, and we had similar taste in coasters and other rides. If your mate likes something that you don't, sometimes you just go along to please them. For example, this one raced motorcycles, which was as noisy as it was boring to watch- but I went with him. Okay, I whined about it, but I went. We need to start some kind of singles coaster-lover dating service. People could place ads- for instance, mine would say: SWF age 37 Turn-ons: younger men, Vekoma Boomerangs, Ferris Wheels Turn-offs: Rude drivers, headbanging coasters, spinny rides. -

Great TR. Love the comments on the Cosmic Chaos restraints- fortunately I won't have any problems with them Re: the Don't Stand Up sign on Racer- the story is that in the 1970s, a kid stood up at the top of the lift hill to reach out to somebody in the opposite train and was thrown to his death- hence the warning sign. Just another attempt to save people from their own stupidity. -

I'll check my own photo stash for pics of Kennywood and Hershey when I was a kid. I don't have a scanner, but I can use my mom's to upload them. -

Great TR and pics! Love the captions, especially the phallic objects one. And the one of your sister w/the animals is really cute. So is Wilbur! -
PA State Parks Closed for Camping

What an embarassment. Notice the casinos are still open. Why can't they close the courts so I can have another vacation? -
What coaster would you rebuild?
bulldogmom replied to Skramp's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cool topic.. Crystal Beach Cyclone (year?) BGE circa 1993- Drachen Fire (again and again and again before it was slayed) Chicago Exposition 1893- the first and biggest ever Ferris Wheel right now- (at night)- Las Vegas, Stratosphere Tower, Big Shot- can think of no better place for a launch ride! 1977 Rocket- Ocean View Park, VA- just cause it's in my favorite movie, "Rollercoaster"
