Avenged Sevenfold - Remenissions It's from their only good album.

Weird, I rode SFA's last season and I found it to be better than Kong. Heh.
-
Why would you be excited about riding Kong? Canada's Wonderland has Flight Deck which is identical to Kong. Surprisingly, Kong is one of the "better" SLC coasters.

CoasterMania is an example of an event that is overly crowded now. When I attended back in 2007, the wait for Maverick was over 45 minutes because resort guests were allowed to ride it too. Also, the line to get food was over 30 minutes (no surprise there, though, since there were hundreds of ACE members present...) Last year, the wait for Tatsu was maybe 2-3 trains at the most which isn't too terrible for ERT. Since there are 4 coasters open for ERT in the morning this year, the bigger crowds will be more evenly distributed but with the majority of folks lined up for X2. I don't see X2's line being more than 10 minutes.

^That turnaround is disgusting sick! One of the many highlights of Boulder Dash.

New theme park for Hurricane, UT.

With that kind of budget, it'll be a good park (let's hope it's true...) -
^Oh yeah! I forgot about that little shortcut! Plus, I was only suggesting the 110 because both the 110 south (past downtown which usually isn't Ttoo busy) and the 91 east have carpool lanes.

^^ and ^^^: They replace sections of track every offseason.

When I worked at DLR, I used to commute from the SFMM area down to DLR 5 days a week so I'm an expert when it comes to So Cal freeways. You didn't specify or list any type of itinerary for your trip so I'll break the typical traffic down by the day. All of my suggestions are assuming that there are no accidents. Sunday: Best day to make the drive between SFMM and DLR. Usually no traffic on the 5 in both directions all day long. Monday: Morning traffic is moderate. Freeways are light until night rush hour, and then it's moderate traffic until 7 PM. Tuesday: Same as monday. Wednesday: Same as monday, sometimes a little busier. Thursdays: For some reason, Thursdays are the worst day to drive during morning rush hour. On several occasions its taken me over 2 hours to get from SFMM to DLR. Evening rush hour can be pretty heavy too. Friday: AVOID FRIDAY IF POSSIBLE. The only times you will not be stuck in traffic is from around 10 AM-1 PM. After that, you're screwed until at least 9 PM. Saturday: Saturdays can be unpredictable. I think it depends on the time of year. So Cal is a maze of freeways. Instead of taking the 5 all the way dowm, you have many options if the 5 sucks. Here are some alternative routes: Traffic in downtown LA: 5 south -> 110 south -> 91 east -> 5 south Traffic in East LA interchange: 5 south -> 10 east -> 710 south -> 91 east - 5 south (my favorite route) Traffic in Norwalk: 5 south -> 605 south -> 91 east -> 5 south If you don't mind driving an extra 20-25 miles and its not a Friday: 5 south -> 210 east -> 57 south -> exit at Ball Rd. And... NEVER TAKE THE 405! Hope this helps!

Your Maverick recreation is decent. Like others said above, they just need some smoothing. But other than that, they look great! -

^Yeah, but Superman The Escape opened back in 1997 and Xcelerator opened 15 years later. You can't really compare the launches. I, too, like Silver Bullet. However, when you compare it to every other B&M inverted out there, its falls short. I don't think I've ridden a B&M invert that I don't like but obviously some will be better than others. I think everyone's issue with Silver Bullet is that it's weak compared to the other "larger" inverts such as Alpengeist or Montu (which are both intense, incredible rides). -
Six Flags New Park Map For 2009 Season
Scream162 replied to jps294's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Most of the coaster layouts have improved on SFMM's new map, but Riddler is way off! -
BEST NEW RIDE: Ravine Flyer II. BEST EPIC FAIL: Wow, there were so many epic fails in theme parks last year. Its hard to choose only one! As mentioned above, Hard Rock Park and the Dark Knight were/are the most epic fails. I also think Fahrenheit is pretty bad. Another one would be Pony Express at Knotts. I'll say Pony Express. BEST SPIN: Sierra Sidewinder BEST NAME: I don't know. BEST CLASS ACT: Busch Gardens Europe!! A friend and I did an almost exact clone of the TPR East Coast Trip and we both liked BGE the most out of the 11 parks we visited.
