  3. I live on the border of Anaheim/Buena Park... Knotts: 3 blocks away DLR: 4 miles down Interstate 5
  4. I went on it 2 weeks ago and it wasn't that bad. Of course I was NOT in a wheel seat, though. My friends behind me hated it.
  5. When the commerical aired about 15 minutes before kickoff, I entered just seconds after I saw the kid with the cape. I figured it had to be it since I had been waiting for the commercial close to 5 hours.
  6. After further review, I had the address wrong. Also, I researched xworks.com on WHOIS. It doesn't look like it belongs to any theme park.
  7. Robb, good eye! It IS an El Toro bull!
  8. ^^I saw you two when I was working at Pirates yesterday. You guys were walking over the bridge.
  9. Here's my Top List for Woodies: 1. The Voyage 2. El Toro 3. Boulder Dash 4. Raven 5. Phoenix Pretty standard... I didn't do the steel coasters poll. Too many coasters to rank which makes it rather difficult towards the middle.
  10. I didn't really like Knoebels. Besides the Haunted House and Phoenix the rest of the park is pretty bad.
  11. I got to experience DCA's version of Toy Story Midway Mania this weekend. Here is my review: First of all, after seeing pictures of DHS' version, I was excited to see what DCA's queue had to offer. Well, besides the Mr. Potato Head animatronic, there's not much to look at it. Once you go through the entrance, you make a right turn towards Mr. Potatoe Head and then enter a ton of switchbacks. The only real theming in this section of the queue are posters describing each of the midway games... basically what is on the construction walls. The actual ride itself is a lot of fun and very re-rideable. My biggest beef with the attraction is the lack of detailed theming. Just like DHS', each wall of the inner-show building is just a 2-D painting of popular children's board games or something from Toy Story. I was hoping for a little more than that considering DCA spent more on their version. Then again, a new show building had to be constructed. Even everything in the station is a 2-D painting. Where the vehicles enter the show building at the beginning of the ride there are some painted curtains and lights which I think would look amazing if there were REAL curtains and string lights instead. Another thing I don't like is the constant starting and stopping of the vehicles. The vehicles take off pretty quickly and then stop suddenly further down the track. Doing this about 20 times per ride and the spinning can get pretty nauseating. I had to take a slight breather after each ride. A few of the CMs have told me the secrets to getting a top score and when I tried shooting the secrets I still didn't get a very high score. My top score out of the 7 times I've been on it is 182,000. The current record is just over 345,000, set by one of the attraction's CMs. Overall I think the attraction will be very popular with Guests. And thank God it doesn't have FASTPASS. Sorry, photography of any kind was not allowed during the test runs, so there are no pictures to go along with my review.
  12. ^Viper holds the record for the HIGHEST loop, not tallest.
  13. As of this morning the Magic Fire was 100% contained.
  14. I don't consider myself a "credit whore" but I like to ride as many coasters as a park has to offer. Especially if it's a park I know I won't be visiting again anytime soon. The only credit whoring I've done lately is going to Castle Park in Riverside to ride their family coasters. That's as bad as it gets for me. Nothing too bad.
  15. ^That reminds me of riding Maverick at Coastermania and a few members from CP management asked me what I thought of Maverick. They gave me a confused/disgusted look when I said it was just "OK."
