  1. The only chance of a 4d coaster at Thorpe is an Intamin Ball Coaster but I doubt that will happen because of the low capacity. I hope Alton Towers still gets it's new coaster in 2008 and Thorpe in 2009.
  2. Was'nt it sold to the Dubai company just around a year or 2 ago. Well when they just bought Gardaland last year, a coaster for 2008 was announced very soon after they bought it. It is said to be something like Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland so hopefully new coasters will be themed really well in their parks.
  3. So when will it get the coasters if they are getting any? Is this going to open this year or next year? Looks fantastic, I cant wait to see what it looks like when it is finished.
  4. It is due to open late May. The opening date has not been announced yet. I found 2 news articles about Furious Baco. I used a translater on them both. The good news is that it will maintain a speed of over 60mph/100kph through the whole course so it will be fast through the inline and last turn etc. Its average speed is over 60mph. I found this small picture with it: I hope they put a lot of trees or something around that part of the ride.
  5. ^Does pictures are really old. The track is complete now and the train is on the transfer track. Look at the pictures posted on the previous page.
  6. The track is complete, there is an extra airtime hill but it has the first set of brakes on the extra airtime hill so the last turn will probally be taken slowly. 2 pictures: I think it looks great and I love the colours.
  7. It is a Gerstlauer Spinning coaster. http://www.rcdb.com/id3802.htm
  8. That is summer. Spring is February, March and April. When you go it should either have just opened or it should open a week or 2 after you go. We dont know the opening date yet. And 2 more pictures.
  9. Furious Baco wont be open until May/June. It wont be open this spring so you wont be able to ride it. Furious Baco will still be fastest in Europe when it opens. Furious Baco will be around 88mph and Stealth will still be 80mph. Some new pictures:
  10. I wont believe it until I see it being built. Whats the point of a park building something that big if it wont have any records. And that would cost a fortune. It would be great if it got built but I highly doubt it will.
  11. I hope Alton Towers go for an Intamin woodie and not a GCI. But I do hope Flamingoland go for the GCI woodie. I noticed a while back that RCDB had listed a GCI woodie for Tripsdrill in 2008 but now it is not there.
  12. ^Silverstar has a few trims aswell as a MCBR. It might have the trims because the last few bunny hops have to much negative g's but there could be lots of reasons why it has trims I have not been on either yet. I hope to ride Goliath later this year. I want to ride it before I ride Expedition Geforce which I will be riding next year. Both look great but I think Expedition Geforce looks better.
  13. They say the acceleration rate is faster. I think they are saying this because Furious Baco will now be Europes fastest coaster.
  14. Hurakan Condor. 330ft standing up is brilliant and it is very well themed.
  15. Did'nt Cedar Fair just change Paramount Carowinds name to just Carowinds. I think it will go there so they open with a new name and a newish coaster.
  16. I think the ride will be great because launching at 84mph then into a 40ft drop and through a huge trench at 90mph will start the ride of great. The in line twist and the lake turn look great and the new trains will add loads to the ride. It will be a short ride but most launch coasters are short rides. The que and station themeing should be fantastic and the ride should have a great atmosphere.
  17. You can see it here: It is a clone of Katun. It is around 65mph which is just over 100kmph.
  18. Dont forget the first huge turn in the 40ft trench at around 90mph after the launch and the 40ft+ drop. Now that will be an amazing experiance with the new trains.
  19. This will get a lot closer to the lake than I thought it would. I have been waiting to see construction start on the lake turn for ages. I cant wait to ride. I am really excited about this. Hope to see more pictures soon.
  20. I'm sure they are not willing to delay the opening agin after how many times. It is one delay after another after another and then it was delayed a bloody year. I hope they just get rid of it already. I say if the ride is not ready to open for march they will get rid of it.
  21. It is 305ft not 350ft. No, I think it was Fabbri that made it. I have not been on an S+S tower yet but I am going on 1 or 3 this year when I go to Parque Warner Madrid. I have only been on 1 Intamin drop tower which is one of the best in the world, Hurakan Condor. 330ft, over 70mph, standing/sitting/sitdown tilting and great themeing. I am going on my second Intamin tower this year, the one at Parque de Atrattiones de Madrid which will be no where near as good as Hurakan Condor. I think the Inatmin ones look better than the S+S ones but I cant truely judge until this summer when I have been on both.
