Original Ghost Rider 1998 Press release.
Noobitizer replied to Gnome's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Do you have any of these old renderings? Just wondering what theming what you were talking about. -
I've ridden Shenlin, it was a lucky stop on a business trip. I've got to say that this was a pretty good SLC, minimal headbanging. My only complaint is the length, after the Zero-G roll theres a helix and then its into the brakes.

Beech Bend Discussion Thread

That is one massive tangle of wood. This coaster looks like a ton of fun. Thanks for the update. Anyone know of any special elements going into this ride? -
Look...a Vekoma being demolished
Noobitizer replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Those are some crazy photos, another vekoma layed to rest. I remember those photos of greenery taking over the ride, they were funny to say the least. You think any of the older Vekomas/Arrows will find another 20 years of life with thoose new Kumbak coaster trains? -
2 New Vekoma Coaster Concepts
Noobitizer replied to Noobitizer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Big Air, is a disapointment, but I think that Splash Party, copy or not, is good direction for Vekoma. They seem to do better with feedback on their Family type attractions then their larger models anyhow. -
Entitled "Big Air" Looks like a themed variation of the Hammerhead stall coaster concept from a few years back. Looks like a kool theme, but I think its lame that the trains stall, then turn instead of turn while free-falling. The other is Splash Party, looks like a suspended coaster adapted to the concept of the Swing Thing. Looks like Vekomas been working behind the scenes. Both coasters look like fun. What do you think? http://www.vekoma.com/rides_thrill_mega/big_air.htm http://www.vekoma.com/rides_fam_coasters/splash_party.htm#

Fuji-Q Highlands Discussion Thread
Noobitizer replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was thinking, those footers on the far side by the station, they look like maybe they could hold the element called "the wave". It kinda looks wide for just a simple turnaround. Thoughts? -
Old Renderings of Arrow's 4D Coaster?
Noobitizer replied to Noobitizer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Really? I never found the outside to be rough, though I have felt greater G-forces, as well as greater wind factor. But nothing to bothersome, I think the outside seats are fine, rome for improvement, but fine. -

Noobitizer replied to Noobitizer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sweet, thanks a lot. Thats a pretty gnarley bunch of coasters. Nice find, much appreciated. -Charles -
I was wondering if anyone has saved files of the 4D roller coasters. Arrow had them on their website before it went away, there were 4 models. The one im most interested in is the one they call Delerium. Any help would be most appreciated. -Charles ADMIN EDIT: Please create more descriptive topic titles

Can we expect to see a POV or Movie from yourself (RABID)? Hopefully our Traning Ship, the Golden Bear, will make the Gold Coast a port as it did a few years ago. Anyhow, looks like you have yourself's quite the themed rocket, and I think the Superman figure on the rear of the train is an especially nice touch. -Charles

Hope to one day visit, maybe my ship the Training Ship Golden Bear will stop in sydney again for a couple of days at port. Only time will tell. And please hook us up with a review man, im sure many of us would love to know how she rides. -Charles -
Visiting San Francisco
Noobitizer replied to momo1tx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It is tottaly possible. You can take PCH a.k.a Pacific Coaster High Way, stop at SCBB. Im pretty sure it hooks up to golden state freeway. I took a road trip down the coast with some buddies over the summer. Hope this points you in the right direction. -

Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page. I wonder what type of roller coaster and by whom it will be made by. Any guesses or rumors? Anyhow, I just thought I would help spread the news. "With over 50 attractions including 6 take-your-breath-away roller coasters, 4 wild water tracks and a unique Indian museum, Bobbejaanlaand is amongst the very best of Europe’s most popular amusement parks. And to top it all off there are also such super attractions as the indoor amusement park Kinderland and various live shows. The huge number of attractions keeps waiting times and the associated frustration to an absolute limit. In their turn the many covered attractions make sure that your feet stay dry during your visit to Bobbejaanland no matter what the weather. After the more than amazing innovations of recent years – such as the Typhoon, Sledge Hammer and Oki Doki, in 2006 Bobbejaanland is premiering 2 brand new attractions to tantalise your senses: * NEW IN 2006: In the Dream Catcher you and your entire family take a mysterious trip through the secretive dream world of the Indians. This rollercoaster drags you over churning water and through the worst storm ever ... and all of this with your legs in the air! * NEW IN 2006: In the interactive attraction Desperado City you and 60 other sheriffs hop on your horses toward adventure, shooting fearful foes with your personal revolvers. How many bad guys can you hit from atop your lurching steed? In short: in 2006 Bobbejaanland will once again amaze its visitors with its wealth of surprises…weather or not! Fuji-Q 4D Coaster
Noobitizer replied to Noobitizer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hey, So I tried looking through several Japanese news sources and I was unable to find anything. I hope to hear about this new coaster, if there is one, soon. Charles -
Has anybody heard any more info about this coaster? I heard the Press Release was supposed to be today the 30th, which actually would have been yesterday for them because of the time difference. Any info?

Photo TR: Robb, Elissa, and Derek in Vegas!
Noobitizer replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Wow, I actually just got back from Vegas, I was there with family from Sunday to Wednesday. I got to ride the Manhattan Express, hella rough and the mid course slowed us almost to a stop. On Monday I got to hit the Stratosphere, I took the Deuce (the bus system) from our hotel the Aladdin. And Tuesday I spent the day at the adventure dome with my cousins. Not bad, we used coupons that got us unlimited rides for 18 dollars. Slingshot was not to bad, my first chance slingshot. It was just a short program, up then down. Canyon Blaster seemed a lot more intense and was smother in the very back then in the front. Hope you guys are having a good time out there, I know I did. -Charles ADMIT EDIT: Fixed spelling and grammar mistakes. You can get a FREE spell checker with the Google Toolbar -

Hey, So everyone keeps bringing up the fact that Six Flags is in debt. But from the Business classes im taking, I've learned that debt isnt neccisarilly a bad thing. I mean look at our govenment. It sounds funny, but sometimes the only solution to debt, is to spend more money. -Chuck
