  1. The mindbender would be so inferior to anything that is currently at Knoebels. That is 100% not the place that this ride should end up. One of the best wooden rollercoasters in the world does not need the MindBender. Knoebles is a gem just the way it is.
  2. This is news is definitely a little surprising but apparently it has not been running for the last little while. I kind of want to say that when they moth balled it due to COVID they just didn't want to put in the money to get it up and running again. @SharkTums I really don't think they gave it even the slightest consideration they maybe making it known would attach anyone here to make sure they got a ride in on it. Knowing the company that is responsible for the Mall (Triple 5), they are not known for going above and beyond. It is possible that the structure is still in good shape, it has been indoors all it life after all. But I would bet good money that it is just going to the scrap heap. Really a shame.
  3. I only use Twitter. But I mostly use if for information. Some minor interaction here and there. And a retweet for the things that i like. I know not very Social, but it works for me.
  4. Forgive my ignorance, But is this in addition to what they are doing to Mean Streak. Or is this what the RMC Mean Streak is.
  5. I'm a Rider but there is no way I'm going to ride a boomerang more than once. Its just to get the credit. So that might also tick the Whore category, but I draw the line at borrowing a kid to ride a kiddie coaster.
  6. I voted for option 2. To me it looks a lot cleaner. With the page being designed for a standard size i feel like the twitter / social media feed adds a lot of unnecessary clutter. If the twitter could be moved over to the side under the ads that would be a bit better of an option to number 1 in my opinion. my $0.02 Ken
  7. Really like this feature. way better than using chrome. Sorry no safari here Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Forum Fiend v1.0.1.
  8. How do you true that wheel? I don't think my spoke wrench is gonna work.
  9. Just came across this article. Its nice to see them taking the time to get it done right instead of rush to finish.
  10. I think what you are seeing is the cream rising to the top. 10 years ago websites were the thing to do. Those like Robb and Elissa chose to put a ton of effort it to making this site what it is today. There just isn't that many people who want to make that commitment. In any thing its the people that want to put in the effort that over the long term are going to become the defacto standard. Once that happens, it will take a large concerted effort to gain a foot hold in the area. Unless there is someone that is willing to put in all the time and effort that Robb and Elissa have put to make there site viable you are not going to see a lot of site succeed. At this point you are going to need to invest upwards of 10000 hours to get that point which at 8 hours 5 days a week will take you 5 years. If there was some one willing to invest that kind of time they would be already there. Thanks to Robb and Elissa for all they have done. I know that the commitment is excetional Ken
  11. It may not have been the ideal location but that first picture looks fantastic. Keep up the great work Ken
  12. Really well done. Excellent work. Its nice to see such high quality images. Ken
  13. My highlight this year has to be Silverwood theme park. 2 excessively fun woodies, Shockwave (Deju VU) that was actually working and fun. And an Arrow looper (they cant all be winners). A Nice quaint family park with some really good food and really good rides. It was way more than i ever expected it to be.
  14. Sorry Dave I feel your pain. But that was one of the funniest things i've seen in a long time. Ken
  15. Those views might even make a Chinese knockoff SLC worth riding. Simply stunning
  16. I think my shoes are still wet from that day.... I totally sucks that i was feeling so bad that night and wasn't able to ride Phantoms Revenge in that dark for the first time. I think that would have been epic. Kennywood is such a great little park cant wait to go back.
  17. I agree that is how it should be. But i can tell you that is not the reality. Its kind of along the same lines as Rod and Elissa wanting to keeps the numbers of the TRP Trips low. 50 people with ERT on 5 rides, nobody waits for anything. 13000 people with the same ERT there will be lines. Im not saying that you wont be able to get in what you want. Just dont expect it to not be busy. You can also look at it this way, the Hulk would need to have about 4250 riders/hour for everyone to get a ride in the approx 4 hours that the park is open.
  18. I can tell you from the last time they rented out IOA there was 13500 people there. It will be busy. There will be way more than 5000 people there. You should still be able to get everything in. Just hope it doesn't rain. in 2007 it was very wet and HULK never opened. I will be there this year as well, so hopefully it will be a nice week. I have seen my fair share of rain. But nothing like that week in '07. But hey that is apparently normal for Orlando. Ken
  19. No, I mean like dynamite, explosions, and bunny rabbits! It will be a spectacle of insane proportions! Tickets go on sale Tuesday. Well in that case, maybe it will be replaced with fluffy fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo.
  20. They are also going to implode this tent. By implode, do you mean fold up and move across the park?
  21. Its stupid cold here today. Just needed to post this somewhere. And this will pretty much be our daytime high for the day. Pretty sure the overnight low with windchill will be below -40 by a fair bit.
