Some stations have fuel for 2.30 some a gallon here, but that is e85 and I can't run the stuff.

Today and tomorrow are going to suck at my f/t job (tv station). First, Bill Clinton will be in Clinton (a town 30 minutes north of me). Then tomorrow, Bill will be in Vincennes (town 60 minutes south of me) and Barack Obama will be in my town at night. Atleast 2 of the 3 visits will be when I am at work like when Hillary came to town.

This has actually made it sound worse. Especially since you have not lived through these things that means that your area is pretty isolated from them. So are you hoping that maybe a tornado can go right through the area your niece lives, that way it will really get the blood pumping. Imagine live news and the fear of losing a loved one, should be great for the old heart. I'm assuming what he's trying to say is these things can be exciting, but if there aren't people being hurt. I mean, there are things I think would be cool to see, it'd be cool to see a plane blow up, or a roller coaster crash. That doesn't mean I want people on or anywhere near them being injured. It's just something alone that would be a spectacle to see. I don't think anyone would actually be fine with people's lives being endangered for a news story, if so then nevermind. Just trying to clarify an assumed point of view. -Nick People being hurt, I don't like. But in the recent history of me working at the station, not a single severe storm locally has killed or severely hurt anyone anyone (there was one instance a tree brance fell on a moving tree, person was okay). When I say I want to go out and chase them. I am talking like most of the tornadoes that touch down do, touch down in country and don't hurt anyone. Waht really gets me excited for working at a tv station is the impromptu we need to go on air and now.

What kind of car do you drive to have a 30 gallon tank? If you have a SUV, truck, or tank. Get something smaller. Locally, 3.45 for the cheap stuff. On Saturday, I filled up at 3.30 something a gallon for 91 octance. Cost me 45 dollars 2 marks above E. I could have made it home, but the light came on 16 miles before my hourse and I was right near a exit on the interstate. I got 29 mpg with about 10 miles city driving and 381 mostly interstate on my way to Six Flags St. Louis.

I was working last night at CBS station, hoping the game would be over by 11:30pm as CBS said. With 2 minutes to go, I knew it wasn't going to end at 11:30, but was hoping for 11:45 or sooner. Then the shot heard around the world. That three pointer was amazing, but it made the producer, who lived an hour away, mad. I got a little less sleep last night, but got an hour and 15 minutes of OT. On one pick em contest here at work, I was first 2 weeks ago. One week ago, I was about 10th to last, the final standings had me second to last. When I got to the final 8, I started picking teams randomly and had no one in the final four. -
It doesn't actually have to happen, it could be just a warning. Especially if I am the only one down in production, it means I get to direct the cut in. I have directed over 20 cut ins and only about 2 -4 have actually been touch downs and only a few have done damage and non deadly touchdowns. We have a weather phenomenon here where I live. A storm can produce tornado warnings all the way through Illinois, once it hits the Indiana line the storm mostly breaks up or weakens. Also, it doesn't even have to be a weather related, it could be news event like when a criminal returns after fleeing town and he arrives via plane and we carry it live and he does something. Plus weather coverage and ratings wise, my station kills the other station. Most of the newscasts ratings are 3 times better than they have. Funny thing too, back a couple years ago they tried this promotion about the radars called the "doppler dead zone". It was so bad it was made fun of on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Here is the promo the other station ran. And the dead zone is no more, we got a triple doppler radar now.

All I did was. Pick the higher seed till all the number ones are left and then just randomly pick. Yeah, it was pure luck I won. -
When I say things like this, I also want to remind everyone why I like to do these things once. I work in TV news, when severe weather happens, it gets my blood pumping. I live for breaking news.

I wouldn't go allot, but it was quite a bit, it was rideable without many issues afterwards like last year. -
What do you mean you want to see a blizzard?? You live in Indiana, so you've seen snow. And surely you've experienced a few blizzards every year. A blizzard isn't some massive tornado of snow or anything. It's just hard snow, and lots of it. Actually, not since th 90's. The most we had recently is 6 inches at a time. And when I say blizzard, I am talking snow like they have in Ohio recently, 18 plus inches. I think this last winter, we got a total of 10 inches, but it only lasted two days max on each snow. I know someone moving to Wisconsin, when they were house hunting, they were looking at a house that had 4 feet of snow in front of it. To me that would be fun.
-
Why do you think I want to chase them one time.
-
There is 3 things I want to see in person. A Tornado, a blizzard, and size 1 or 2 hurricane. The closest I been to a tornado is there was a rotating cloud in the lot right next to where I work. It was pretty cool to see, the firefighters right next door was watching it too. Then I had to come inside because a tornado warning was issued for my county and we had to do a weather cut in.
-
I have never been close to one, but I want to go on one of those tornado chasing tours or even better, ride with the group from the tv show "Storm Chasers". That TIV looks fun to ride in, plus you can go through up to a ef-2 or 3 tornado in that if it is anchored in, or so they say. Isn't aerodynamic by any means, but you don't want aerodynamic for this, you want heavy.

I don't think the memory card is the issue because I changed memory cards and it worked fine with the exception the date stamp on the pic file saying 2005. I am going to try to find time to call Nikon soon, hopefully I don't have to send it in because I need it in a month because I got a race and Indiana Beach opening day to take pics at (my small camera would do for IB, but not the race). -

A sleep through the whole trip, really. Atleast that way you didn't have to drive much. Nice TR Scott (I think that is your name, lol). -
Yesterday at Six Flags St. Louis, I was trying to take a picture and the camera just froze up. I turned th power on then off a couple times and did nothing. I tried the reset on the bottom of my camera, and it reset it but got a error message saying my memory card is not useable. I switched memory cards and took the battery pack out and back in. It took pictures, but the word "clock" is solid when not taking a pictures and flashes when I do. I am thinking it might be a internal clock battery is bad, but I didn't see any place for a battery to be replaced at. My camera is a Nikon d70s Dslr.

Rides ridden: All the coasters S:TOP Got to the park about 9:30 and waited in line.As soon as the gates opened went straight to the side where Batman was and waited till security let us through. Rode Batman first, nice and smooth like it was last year. All the coasters were running as good as last year or better except one. Ninja was horrible, jerky and rough, allot worse then last year. Then the shocker, I rode Boss. Last year when I rode it, it messed my back up for a day or two. They retracked portions and let me tell you, it did wonders. It still isn’t smooth by any means, but it is allot better than last year. I walked over to see Evel Kinevil construction progress, while it has quite a bit of work to do, I am in love with it and can’t wait for June 20th. I hope to have a new number one coaster by then, or atleast a new number one wooden coaster, I might have a new number one steel by then. That all depends on how Cedar Point goes during Coaster Mania. While on coasters, I know all but Tony Hawke's Big Spin broke down yesterday. I was on Boss when the computer controls stopped us on the MCBR. The register inside Mooseburger Lodge was down, also. Then the trains wheels were noisy as can be, but with all that said, it was opening day. Overall the park was in great shape. I spent allot of time just walking around for videos and pictures. This park is one of those you just have to look at all the little things like little ponds with streams going to other little ponds and things like that. Anyway, onto the pictures. Some where not taken by me, so they maybe crooked. Also, by weeks end, I hope to have a video done. Just waiting on software now. More EK relocated kiddie carousel Shaggy's ready to ride. THBS Foghorn leghorn looks harmless. whats up doc? Wooden bell owww Ruh roh, No Scooby Snacks, I will just break coasters down randomly. Soaking rapids rides, but I haven't ridden it yet. Being soaked and 62 degrees doesn't sound like fun. Nice rock and water feature. No divider and single buzz bar, this sounds allot funner than the current configuration. part old Eagle train, There is a coaster in there somewhere. The much improved Boss Freeze Everyone wave at the people on the train. for all you lift hill people Can you see the airtime? Freeze again. Farris Wheel, name escapes me for the moment. Hurricane Harbor looks ready to go. Rush Street Flyer S:TOP Freeze, through the forrest Through the trees. EK nanananananananana...BATMAN
