I am not voting anymore....it isn't going to happen. I would like to be optimist, but it has been #15 for 2-3 days now. Voting ends in two days. Wish I would have known about how easy it was to vote on facebook before last week, I would have done it more (my two FB accounts, my sisters, my moms, plus my yahoo email account).

I don't know if I have posted in here lately, so things have changed in my job situation. I was working at two jobs, a grocery store p/t and a tv station full time. Some things happened and I was let go of my p/t job. I used to work 55 hours a week and since I don't work p/t anymore, I am down to 40. I never realized how much that extra 15 hours was actually draining me. It has been a month since I no longer work two jobs and it has been wonderful. Now for my current, only job. I work at a television station. I have been here since 2001. I started part time in production doing the small things (teleprompter to cg to camera operator) and back in 2005 I got full time as Mastor Control. Back then, it involved a lot more then what it does now. Back then, I used to work mornings, overnights and afternoons in a single week. My job back then involved recording shows, running shows, injesting commercials, recording other things. Then a couple years later I was given a m-f shift and included all of those job duties, plus I did audio for the two newscasts at night. We about 6 years ago and the people that bought us ran about seven stations out of Indianapolis and we were transitioned into being ran there (my old job). My shift stayed the same, but the job duties changed. Now I run audio for the late shift when needed (or morning or weekends when I fill in), send commercials and promotional spots to Indianapolis via a computer, and stream news stories to our website. What can you learn from my post. Never work so much that you wear yourself out, it isn't worth it. Also, no matter what you were hired into your job for, be willing to learn other jobs when you can because you never know when your job duties will change. I am looking forward to saying I been here at work for 10 years next April 12th. There isn't many employees who have been here longer (one guy who retired from here was here for 50 and 1/2 years).

Crazy Diets and Ways to Lose Weight
spaceace12 replied to Twister II's topic in Random, Random, Random
I rarely drink sodas. 99% of the time of I drink tap water (4-5 liters a day). I am not trying, but since winter, I gone from around 280-90 to around 260. I don't do much outside because I can't stand humidity and my job has me sitting for 8 hours a day. I do plan to try to loose some pounds (like around 40-60) by winter. The biking/walking trail is expanding and will be literally right across the street from my apt. complex. I plan to get back to biking again. This spring I bought a new bike and was up to the point I was able to ride up to 9-10 miles a time without getting crazy tired. Goal is to get up to riding the whole trail at least twice a week (15 miles round trip). Also, I plan to paddle when the weather is nice soon at the lake up the road from my house since I have my kayak at home now. As for eating, I eat at Subway a lot now because it is close and close to healthy (normal is oven roasted chicken with shredded cheese, onions, mayo, pickle, green peppers) for dinner. Lunch is normally a lunch meat sandwhich and I am usually not up in time for breakfest. If I can get down to my goal by winter and keep it off, I am going down to Vincennes and riding the Blue Flash. -

Clearing land so that heavy equipment can be moved in to tear it down finally? I vote for high explosives and will bid to be the one who pushes the button to blow it into a million pieces. Rode it once and that was enough. -
Final Trip to New Orleans with SP 8/22-29.
spaceace12 replied to spaceace12's topic in Random, Random, Random
Heading back to New Orleans in less then 30 days for the final time. Samaritans Purse, the organization I volunteer with is pulling out of NO. They have been there for almost two years and will have redone 30 some homes. The one thing I am not looking forward to is the heat and humidity. Though it might help my goal of getting to 220 or less by winter. Can't wait to eat some gator, catfish and beighnets. Also can't wait to see the home I worked on in April (will upload photos later). After this year, I don't know where I will be heading with SP for future work. I will be designating at least a week to mission trip. Maybe Haiti, or just some where in the US or Canada. -

Lemonade and cedar point.
spaceace12 replied to thrillrider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Same thing happened in my town (minus the CP passes). A teen robbed a lemonade stand, but one of the little girls running it chased him and he was arrested where he ran. Story ran on CNN after it happened. -

When I was last there, there was jugs of water int he que for the riders. As for the bags, I had sandles on and they had me just put it by the employee exit. I thought HW was adding some shade to the second que, but maybe I heard wrong. Also, post at Holiday World's facebook page about the shade. They will respond to your post (most of the time). -

The reason we were told the tunnels smell was something to do with the corn bags testing with the timberliners and animals getting in there? Not 100% sure though. -

This sounds about right. The only thing is that they won't put the TL on until both trains are ready. The second train will only need 200 laps to be broke in. I figure we will see them on track this year for the public. -
I did something to my linksys router. Can't access the menu page even though I put in the correct address (192.168.1.1). Why is this a 7 issue. Linksys' software for the router does not support 7.......at least the router still works. In other news, I might be buying a Macbook Pro. 17" MBP, 4 gigs of ram, 320 gig HD all for 800 dollars. It is a refurbished one, but the only reason the person is selling is because it was sorta sluggish when he had 34 tracks on his recording software.

Cool pictures, sometimes I enjoy spending hours taking pictures where I am (theme park, nature park, etc.) then I do actually doing things there.

Every single TR I have seen has had it down. Hopefully it is up for the 17th because that is when I am going this year. If not, still have Cornball and Hawg. -

My grandparents are looking at a new car right now. A sales person brought them a 2010 Chevy Malibu LTZ to show them. Loaded to the max. But with how my grandpa is, he nixed it. I suggested an Equinox because it is higher up then the Malibu, but not too high I would think. He didn't like the gear shifter in the center, but I said that most cars now of days have them there. He also didn't like all the bells and whistles. Nice thing is that Chevy apparently has a lifetime power train warrenty.....wish I had that on my 2001 Malibu, would still have it.

I am pretty sure it is included if you buy the pop band. And it looks like the giant wheel got an led lighting package. -

I asked this question on the FB page and Paula didn't know anything when I asked her (asked her for an update). I imagine with the two ptc's gone already it is still a go, but maybe a bit slowed down due to Will's passing.
