Helix at Liseberg -
Not worried at all... I know I won't be able to finish this in time..
-
So today I got to visit Liseberg for the press opening event of Helix. This new Mack installation has some pretty impressive specs: Top speed of 100km/hour 2 launches, 1,38km long capacity of 1350 riders/hour 7 inversions and 3 weightless moments. Great addition for the park, feels like it's spot on with their target group for this ride and i'm pretty sure it will provide the things they are expecting of it. Fun, long ride which is very very reridable. Nice pops of airtime and inversion and it brings a smile to your face. Video: Pictures: I like a countdown, especially if I don't have to wait that long the park just looks pretty hmm, first look at the new ride in case you forgot the name pretty sure there will be plenty of shopping goodies available pretty soon speech time (not that long (thanks for that)) eagerly waiting riders part of the queue area from above time to look at the coaster so many different pieces of steel and coaster in one image airtime I do hope he made it back airtime scarf time the big drop going up twisty with a train always fun happy riders scream if you like it more screaming happy faces air, tears, joy.. so many things it looks pretty another look at part of the queue restraint system from the side lots of green steel yummie sign / specs different skyline (compared to my previous visit) true lots and lots of green lot of things happening in a small area There's Balder second launch fun more inversions, airtime moments and fun the drop out of the station seen from below test dummy system on Balder final inversion another view point here they come do like the led lights go go go whee happy riders wave at the camera I just like this image bad hair day? are they related? inversion time with headlights final inversion pop of airtime whee ok, now we are talking Hairtime it's such a pretty (green) looking train happy riders second launch fun final turn before the second launch go go go tight squeeze at some points airtime extreme airtime (check the wheels) I like long hair (for coaster pictures second row extreme hair and the backrow

Photo TR: Hanno visits Holiday park for Sky Scream and..
Hhappy replied to Hhappy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
The express lane has a separate entry point to the station and you basically get to sit where you want before the turnstiles are opened for the other people (or at least that's how it looked like during my visit) -
So this weekend I had the opportunity to visit Holiday park and see what was new for 2014. Sky Scream is the new big ride for this year, but the park has also added some small things which are pretty awesome. This Premier Rides Launched coaster goes 55meters high, has a top speed of 100km/hour and includes 3 launches (forward and backwards) For those that have been to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom it might look and feel very very similar to Superman: Ultimate Flight . The park also updated their waterski stunt show which is now named: Hollywood's Talking Dead. The darkride Burg Falkensteing has live scare actors in it everyday from 13 hours One more awesome thing, they have added a fastlane system at the park for their major attractions. This includes unlimited rides on: Sky Scream, Expedition GeForce, Wickie Splash (the re-themed devils water ride), Donnerfluss and the Free Fall Tower. Sky Scream appeared to be a hit with everybody, fun ride and a great addition to the park. I really like how this is a plopsa park that caters for all ages and not just small kids and their parents. And then there is Expedition GeForce. Still an awesome coaster that is a lot of fun. During this visit I focused on Sky Scream and GeForce so here are some of the pictures I took: Here is the Sky Scream POV: so this was the first thing I noticed awesome sight and then there is this but first things first sky scream lots of twisty steal looks fun and riders flex train connection going down wheee gravity can do funny things hair cables, cables and more cables underneath almost upside down going back up going towards the top theming around the ride will be finished during the summer.. should be even more fun then sky scream fun for a lot of ages going down more hair at the top.. about to go down and the lower bit lovely looking track and the top and then there is this fear and joy.. so close and yes.. it still does this to riders drop fun top of the lifthill different riding positions whee big turn airtime hairtime such a beauty fun fun fun scream if you are having.. ehm

So today I had the pleasure to visit Nigloland and check out their new coaster Alpina Blitz. The ride itself is built by Mack, 713meters long and 33 meters high. Speeds of up to 100km/h are reached and 9 airtime moments are included. Had a blast riding this and i only spotted happy faces of people after riding. I like how it's a step up compared to the other coasters at the park. Looking forward to what else the future has in store for this park. For the folks that have been on a megalite.. This looks and feels very similar Video: Picture time: early morning, time to wake up but first.. it's presentation time bacj outside, big wheel but this is what i came for moving the train back of the train this ain't a bad sight to wake up to maintenance area going up the front of the train ride is open, just look at the line going up here they come are these extra wheels in the chassis for the maintenance area?? looking at others while standing in line blue train whee for all the tech geeks.. here's the underside of the trains expressions time hairtime (and something else is flying away as well) more hair and airtime yup, hairtime final turn before the brake run fear? joy? happy rider mommy too funny more expressions how about scarf time instead of airtime? happy happy joy joy from 1.30m and up? does this need a caption? station building looking at the back of the first drop top of the lifthill brake run fear, joy terror fun extreme hair happy faces fun for all ages yummie logo first drop fun another first drop image so many things to look at (say) yup.. it's pretty thank you going down underneath the lifthill whee watch out for that tree.. airtime humps happy happy caption this more happy faces more hair turn time lots and lots of track time to "fly" fun fun fun heading for that final bit that's it

^ yeah, today was pre opening day with a small group of people (like 200) for photo's and things.. they did not care that much about the 6 persons in a boat.. During the summer they should be able with that rule to go through 1800 persons an hour with this ride. -

Posted my pictures from today here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=67571 -
So today I got to visit the pre(ss) opening of Chiapas at Phantasialand. From the parks website: Fun ride indeed, lot's and lot's of smiles from people riding it. Lot's and lot's to see while on the ride and time flies. It does not feel like a 6 minute ride. World's steepest drop on a log flume?? I guess so, it picks up speed at that point pretty good.. but after riding coasters and having that great first drop out of your seat effect.. don't count on it on this logflume. This makes total sense.. but it would have made the ride even better When not riding.. there are plenty of places to look at the ride and the people riding it. Want to get a bite? not a problem either. The entire area looked very good and i'm sure it's going to be a hit with the families visiting the park this year. For the coaster adrenaline junkies.. nah.. for the log flume enthusiast out there.. it's one of the better (if not the best) log flumes I have seen so far in the world. Here's our POV that was shot that day: Anyway, picture time I guess this is where we are heading to today looks way better now this area made it hmm, looks like there will be some food today lots and lots of tv camera's and interviews and stuff first looks theming theming back the top of the big drop on the "airtime" hill Hungry? theming testing, in the front middle you can see the fin for the magnetic brakes being used on the ride to slow you down... random theming detail skloosh it looks good (with Black Mamba in the background) lots and lots of people will be taking this (or similar pictures) this year back of Talocan clear sign single riders info queue explanation hmm, but first.. more pictures, the ride entrance another look at the back of Talocan so many things to look at looks good Chiapas die Wasserbahn in case you were wondering height restrictions first peak inside the queue area beginning of the queue area inside the station terrace lovely area imagine dining here someday.. yummie ok, back to the opening etc.. everybody present? there's the Phantom with gopro for filming speech time yeah, open let's ride almost back at the station hands up if you are having a great time as you can see.. you don't get soaked (at the moment) top of the big drop i'm eating bugs time to cool down a bit smile smile smile just having a drink and watching the ride filled with smiling people Chiapas big drop yep, smiling for the camera going up the airtime hill for the final brake run looking good random waterfall top of the big drop yippie riders and people eating and drinking.. here's the spray next.. skloosh ok, time to have another look around splash down area theming around the big drop. middle level of the bridge is queue area going into the light random theming look at the the pretty lights random water thingy from up higher bottom of a smaller drop talocan more theming peaking inside another random spot where you can look down at the ride time to check out the queue area a bit more first tunnel random theming on the wall zig zag portion of the queue area plenty of things to look at more stuff on the walls last bit of queue before boarding you can look at the other riders from this part of the queue loading area with riders and tv crews.
