  1. Knoebel's new coaster! It's kind of subjective, as it might not open for 2006, but maybe by 2007. RC!
  2. Neither. That should have been one of the options, then the poll should have more hope of being "awesome"...
  3. Huss Breakdances, Magic, Flipper, and Condor, Mack Calyspo, and Flyers. Want to ride: a Huss Flic Flac and Huss Booster
  4. It sounds like the Blackbird is actually a Zamperla Flying Tiger ride. Knoebels has one, There's 8 planes, and traverses an oval track. Think of it as a suspended Whip. When the planes go around the turnaround, the planes swing outward. Here's an example.
  5. At Knoebels, between 1991 and 1994: Stein and Goldstein Merry-Go-Around, Panther Cars, Umbrella Ride, Space Walk, Kiddie Whip, Kiddie Bumper Cars, Kozmo Klubhouse play area, Helicopters, Sky Slide, Sky Jet Fighters, Hand Cars, Ball Crawl, Spanish Bambini, Kiddie Boats, and Red Baron; Flyers, Roto Jets, Paratrooper, Tea Cups, Tilt-A-Whirl, Cosmotron (original version), Whirlwind, Antique Cars, Haunted Mansion, Grand Carousel, Merry Mixer, Balloon Race, Bumper Boats, Whipper, Galleon, Satellite, and Motor Boats. Pretty much half of the park!
  6. Aspyr has announced that RCT3 for the Macintosh is now Gold Master. It is scheduled to ship next week, and will retail for $49.99. Finally, the Macintosh community can have as much fun as their PC counterparts! RC!
  7. Really? Knoebel's Twister trains originally came with seatbelts. Knoebels ripped them right out within one week of operation! Phoenix's train originally came with seatbelts too, and Knoebels shoved them under the seat. After Knoebels casterized the seat belts from PTC's train, Knoebels and Tom Rebbie are still friends...
  8. Forget the biggest bathroom stall! Look at Robb's Booty!
  9. I was about to say "Meh... too complicated..." until I saw this Poll Helper.. For the first time in years, I actually submitted my ballot!!! Looks like Knoebel's Phoenix is a favorite from some people.. In my opinion I thought Twister was better than the Phoenix this year. It seems that the Phoenix's flame was a bit weak this year compared the past. I should know, I've been riding it for 19 years, about 10 times a year...
  10. Of all rides, a wave swinger... you see the chains a bit rusty and you start imagining things.. "what if it breaks..." Now, if I was on a Star Flyer and the chains were a bit rusty I would probably have a heart attack. The now scrapped Giant Wheel at Hersheypark makes me nervous... again, with the chains... Knoebels' Giant Wheel doesn't make me nervous because the gondola attachment looks more solid..
  11. Looks like there's a Christian themed DDR game out for Windows or Mac OS. While I have nothing against the church, I do think their followers are kind of brainwashed... :? [edit - a link would be helpful... ] Here's the link to the article
  12. Another thing to note. Seabreeze in Rochester, NY no longer has two circle swings. They now only have one- the non-tilting Yo-Yo. They finally fixed their Flying Scooters! You now can fly up and down, but the tubs are too heavy for some snappage. RC.
  13. "Never wait 15 minutes for anything?" Actually, that wasn't the case with the Whirlwind coaster when it first opened! The lines were an hour long! And that was when it didn't have any glitches... Knoebels has grown over time since I worked there from 1988-1994. Their busiest time starts from July 4th holiday until right before the last week of August. The peak is usually towards the end of July where several large local companies hold their family picnics. If you want to go on a weekend, the best weekend would be Memorial Day weekend. You can get a good full day at the park with POP on a Saturday during Memorial Day weekend. It's not too busy and you can get in all the rides in one day with some re-rides on your favorite rides. RC!
  14. I already have eKirmes, and am thinking about getting the iKirmes DVD. I think the reason why there is only a few Flic Flac's due to the metal fatigue problems. Or was that the Magic? They both share the stroke technology and the hub.
  15. Yeah, we're all about roller coasters, amusement rides, amusement parks, credit whores, and the like. How does donkeys fit in the picture? I must have missed the memo..
  16. and let's not forget the tragic Mindbender accident.
  17. Huss Breakdance, Top Spin, Flipper, Rainbow, Magic, Frisbee, Enterprise, Giant Enterprise (Skylab), Troika, Swing Around, Jump 2 and Condor (yes, I've ridden them!). Eyerly Spider Mondial Top Scan Moser Rides Sidewinder (Knoebel's Fandango) Dartron Downdraft What I want to ride: Huss Flic Flac (I saw the videos online and that thing looks sick!), and Booster. Mondial Shake, Inferno and Swinger.
  18. the last coaster I rode was Knoebel's Twister before it closed, permanently... for 2005, that is.. I was on the second to last train out.
  19. When you get your camera back from the shop, do this: First, remove the battery if it is attached. Give the terminals on the battery a good lick and put it aside. Best results can be acheived when more than one terminal is licked simutaneously. Locate all the visible screws on the camera body and remove them. Then pick up the camera by the palm strap and give it a good, firm shake. Your camcorder should now be fully prepped to accept a wide angle lens. Your camcorder's manuals should have details explaning about the procedure. (Yeah, yeah, I know.. I should stop watching the Red Green show too much...)

    Time

See, I told you time travel was possible!
  21. My aunt, who is a big B&M fan, hated Hydra. She said it rattled a lot and actually preferred Talon. Raptor is her #1 favorite B&M to date, and even liked Medusa which is located across the state line. She even liked the JoJo roll, but wasn't too fond for the rest of the ride. If the rattling wasn't there, she would have a different opinion.
  22. The Cube didn't sell very well because it was very expensive and offered limited options compared to the tower. People saw that the tower was a better value for the money compared to the Cube. The Mac Mini is more popular because it is very inexpensive so you do get what you pay for. As for the nano, it does have the coolness factor, but I'm going to hang onto my iPod mini. RC!
  23. Here's a suggestion: RTFM!!! That's right.. READ. THE. [EXPLETIVE]. MANUAL!!! The manual should have some instructions there about lens threads for teleconverters and wide angle lens adapters.
  24. ^^^ Looks like you go flying off the end and right into the bushes. Be sure to take videos!
