  1. ^ They are aiming to have it open by the 28:th this month, so unless it's broken or shut down due to complaints of noise, then it will most likely be open. I could almost guarantee that someone will complain about the noise it creates to the news papers around here, they have done so for almost every attraction Liseberg added for a long time.
  2. The song you are looking for is: Silverblue - Step Back (vocal 12 inch mix), I have also seen this video.
  3. OK, so it took a bit longer to get a new photo, but... Great news. The construction team haven't taken the easter off work. They were attaching the top part when I took this image little over an hour ago. It's now clearly visible from pretty far away. Now I feel more confident that it will open in time for the grand opening of the 2007 season of Liseberg.
  4. ^^ There is some footers for the roof structure sin in the picture I posted little over a week ago. ^ Probably the meaning of the roof. Might get a new photo tomorrow, in hopefully some better conditions and by then they might have gotten the supports up.
  5. New picture as of today... They have added some roof like structure over Lisebergbanan, couldn't see if it was net or solid roof, It should give some nice head-chopper effect when riding it, and they are on the verge of starting erecting the steel-structure of the swing. So hopefully within a week then it should be completed.
  6. Went to the place where we watch the construction today, and saw that they have made some progress on Uppswinget. It looks like they will soon install the structure, everything else seems to be in place.
  7. It's ALIVE!! (OK, so it has been for the last 9 months.) But anyway, Congrats to all of you. It will be nice to meet you all in Japan later this year.
  8. http://www.rcdb.com/installationresult.htm?coastername=&parkname=&type=1&status=9&design=4&category=&contact=&location=0&column=1%2C10%2C30%2C3%2C26%2C4%2C5&order=1%2C2&search=Search ^ All operating flying coasters, according to RCDB.
  9. A picture from yesterday. They have built the foundations.
  10. Press C to connect the ends of the track, and Shift+C to disconnect.
  11. I guessed the layout of the coaster from the pictures and using a picture of the park from Google Earth as a help to get it right, and this is what I came up with. (track colors are the same as in NL)
  12. Drove by Liseberg today and saw that they have cleared the area where Uppsvinget will be located, there was some groundworks being done and a Digger and some other vehicle were on the site. Sorry no pictures today since I didn't have my camera with me, but I will get some eventually.
  13. Mine are: Alton Towers Blackpool Pleasure Beach Bon-Bon Land Chessington World of Adventures Drayton manor Park Efteling Europa Park Flamingo Land Theme Park & Zoo Gröna Lund Hansa Park Heide Park Holiday Park Lightwater Valley Liseberg M&Ds Scotland's Theme Park Phantasialand Pleasureland Southport Skara Sommarland Thorpe Park Tivoli Gardens Toverland Tusenfryd Walibi World It will be expanded next year by at least the double.
  14. WTF, wonder if the Wcoasterpoll and the Icebar have something with the choice of park. If they use the Swedish age limits in the Icebar then you just have to wait untill you are 18. I will have an unofficial before the Japan trip.
  15. Count me in for the Japan trip. I have already started to save money for it and I will brush up my japanese for this occation.
  16. In todays edition of the lokal news paper an article said that Lisebergbanan would be closed for a couple of week while they do an investigation why it happened.
  17. I went to Liseberg earlier today and the trains were still on track, as they were after the collision. But later in the day we heard some loud bangs from the station and trains had been moved into the maintenence area. We talked to some staff at the entrance to Lisebergbanan and they didn't know when the ride was going to open again. Hopefully it would do so asap.
  18. What is up with american parks and rain, why do they close down? Here at Liseberg the park doesn't seem to care about the weather and all attractions are up and running even when it's raining heaqvily, and when there is a severe thunderstorm the high attraction gets close down but the park stays open. I only know one occasion that Liseberg was closed down due to bat weather, It was last year when they had the stornges thunderstorm in modern time and there was multiple powerouts in the park, Then they decide to close it down. I like it that way Anyway worst weather to visit a park is when its hot and packed, just a pain to go around sweating and long lines to all attractions. + all coasters runns much better when it rains.
  19. Yes I have, but not for the last couple of years. No it's not hard, just common sense and some simple maths. But I use my calculator for general construction, ie. calculate some elements by hand instead of rely on add-on programs. If you think it's hard to use AHG then it's even harder to do all that AHG, Elementary, node smoother, etc. does for you by hand in the NL editor. I havn't experienced this when I used it, if that is the case by you then you are using it wrong.
  20. No you didn't, NL AHG did it for you. When you can create a smooth and heartlined track by yourself then you can come back and say that you are good on NL. I can't really post some of my latest projects because they aren't completed yeat, and the largest/most complex coaster I have created in NL isn´t worth posting because the demand of a high-end PC you need to be able to get a ride without lag due to low fps.
  21. Then I have to get that Industrial strength Meat Slicer from the Hus & Hem wheel at Liseberg. Since I started to learn Japanese and while watching the TPR Japan trips I have my urge to go to Japan has increased.
  22. Ferris wheels are pure EVIL, I guess that George W. Ferris is the devil himself. I just don't go on them, just in extreme cases to get some really nice photos of them.
  23. I live in Sweden about 40 km away from Liseberg.
  24. That Japan trip sounds tempting. I just have to brush up my Japanese language skills. Starts saving money.
