  1. Me, Tom, Richard and George got some Korean fangirls as well when we were at Everland. But not as sweet as those in Japan.
  2. Was at Tobu Zoo yesterday and they had errected the second half of the ride so far, and it looks really great. I really hopes that they get one of those, it will be nice to have one so close by.
  3. Good to read your stuff, Bill. I will post the group photo with all of us, but the ones with me and the girls I will keep to myself.
  4. Hmm, that Aska chick looks familiar, I think that we met her too, after riding Jaws if my memory serve me right. Mike and/or Adam might have a photo of us. I'm currently on my way home now, and waiting for my connectiong flight from Copenhagen, will be home in a couple of hours. Tom and I did a little side trip to Tobu zoo, we had the time to do this due to the flights to Europe from Tokyo leaves before we got there from Korea, thankfully we got rebooked to an earlier flight from Korea so we had a bit of extra time in Tokyo, we really neded that time since we just runned between the places and just got on the last bus fro the hotel. Did all coasters there and some other random rides as well. Got some nice pictures of the construction of Heart-Beat when we were there, and it looks like a fun little ride. Much of the second half of the track is installed and the colors of it really make the ride stand out compared to the rest.
  5. We arrived at the hotel in Seoul about 30-40 minutes ago, the room is like a small apartment. I had a great time in Japan, and hopefully it will continue here in Korea.
  6. You would want that, might when I get my computer connected, but then again why do I have to share my personal pictures.
  7. Jupiter was brutal, you wanted to get of as soon as it left the lifthill, one of the worst woodies I have ridden. Rest of the trip is awesome, the Uminonakamichi karts are one of the best things I have EVER ridden. Cant`t wait until the rest of it.
  8. Finally another park to be able to challenge the reign of Liseberg here in Sweden, and we could only hope that we get some "race" between them to build bigger rides here.
  9. Nice pictures and info. Didn't know about that Vekoma bought the S&S Space Shot due to the difficulties of Hang Over.
  10. Was there 2 weeks after Kvasten (The Broomstick) opened and the ride had pretty jerky lateral movements, due to firm shocks. Is it running more smoothly with a couple of months run time under it's belt? Anyway, nice TR.
  11. Me and a couple of friends from the UK did just this on the 4:th-6:th of May this year, so it's totally doable. There isn't any problem to drive a rental between Sweden and Norway, and there is only a sign to tell you that you have entered the other country. You have to pay some road toll at the border and on the Norwegian side. Be sure to have the car early when going to Tusenfryd, we rented the car from Friday until Sunday to make us less time dependent, it takes about 3 hours to drive. Beware Norway is very expensive, in fact Oslo is rated as the most expensive city in the world.
  12. Except for the part between the top of the lift hill and first MCBR then they are equal. Here is a G-log of the vertical G you experience when riding Jetline (rode it a couple of weeks ago). On the psycho-drop you get a 4.5 G with some spikes. So this is almost the forces you will experience on Knighmare. (I will log Knightmare in late July this year so I will be able to compare them force wise. Not only isn't it on of the longest in the world, there is also a 3:rd coaster that is very similar to Knightmare/BMRX and Jetline. Lightning Coaster at Nasu Highland Park differs between the top of the lift hill and the first MCBR, and the supports aren't the same, may be this due to that Meisho built this coaster. http://www.rcdb.com/id1266.htm < RCDB link to Lightning coaster. http://www.asovini.com/screamer/e/index.html < a bit down the page is a POV of it.
  13. From the second airtimehill (the one in front of the lifthill) then it is a near clone of Balder.
  14. I were in the vicinity of Stockholm this weekend so I did a short trip to Gröna Lund to ride their new Vekoma SFC, Kvasten. This was also an opportunity to meet with one of my cousins. Even if we were there on a Saturday, the park wasn't as crowded as usually and later that day the park emptied pretty early, due to Eurovision Song Contest finals, etc. Kvasten: Pretty good coaster suited to the whole family, smooth and mildly thrilling. To bad that the swing dampers are to hard, if they weren't some bad lateral jolts would be avoided. Jetline: Almost the same coaster as Knightmare, only the part between the top of the lift-hill to the first MCBR differs. It was running great later in the evening and the queue were short all day. Vilda Musen: A Gerstlauer bobsled coaster that runs inside the structure of Jetline. It gives a lot of near misses between the two. Pretty good ride but less airtime then the other ones. Now on to the Pictures. Entrance. ' First up, Kvasten. There it goes, nice seats anyway. Up the lift-hill. Almost a little air-time in the back. Twisty. More Turns. Through the theming. Wiiii! Into the Helix. Pulling some G's. The first drop of Kvasten goes under the big turn of Jetline. Now onto Jetline. The "backside" of Jetline. Curved lift-hill. More curved lift-hill action. Down the first drop. Into the tunnel. And out again, to bad that inside there is some backbreaking G-forces. BIG TURN. Up to the first MCBR, running close to the S&S tower and Vilda Musen. Down the Psycho-drop. POWER!! 4.5 G here I come. And then there is Helixes. Lots of them... Here you can see how Jetline and Vilda Musen intervenes with each other. First Drop. Mouse turns. Hair-time. Another turn. Into the final bit. Last bit into the station. Last Credit. 80 meter tall Intamin drop tower, yummy. S&S combo tower, two rides into one. Dodgems, like the Tusenfryd ones, but with rubber wheels > not fun. The ride with one of the longest queues. Indoor Huss Brakedance with RnB/Hiphop music, Good ride, shame about the music. Now onto some FORCES. Jetline The only bad part of the day was that the Russian Que-jumping Mafia were there, they were jumping lines, queued for each other, etc. and they were everywhere.
  15. Were at Tusenfryd this Saturday and got some insane rides on Thundercoaster, too bad that the GCI re-tracking has removed some of the extreme airtime on the second hill. But if these rumors are true, and that Flamingoland is able to create a great woodie like Thundercoaster then I would definitely go back there next year. The Vekoma woodies are rough but give a really kick ass ride.
  16. ^^ Nope Lundell, goes by the screen name Olov here on TPR. ^ It took about 10 minutes, looked like someone dropped something on the ride.
  17. Ahh, that made sense. It's painted to blend in with the rest of the mountain, just to please the neighbors across the motorway. But I really think that some rides need a paint job. Like Lisebergbanan needs to be repainted, parts of it have been, but it should be completed, come on Liseberg it having it's 20:th birthday this year. My brother builds them as a personal project, the latest model is going to be fit inside a Nokia 3310 mobile, so then you notice that it would be easy for me to get one. Thanks.
  18. Not at all. They had an S&S guy staying in the control booth all day as well, just in case. What is this upgrade? It wasn't, it broke down in some way just before we came in to the station so they sent the other train around so that we could leave it. (That's the reason why it's empty.)
  19. I did a measurement on Kanonen, but the Accelerometer malfunctioned. The problem is a bad solder on the sensor, it have been temporarily fixed (until we get a new sensor chip) and I might be able to get a new measurements next weekend.
  20. So Liseberg opened yesterday, with a new attraction and added safety. Me and My brother decided to go there to do 3 things. 1 Get our Annual Passes. 2 Ride Uppswinget, the new S&S power Screaming Swing. 3 Test out the latest edition of the Accelerometers and their harnesses. So we left home about 2 hours before they opened, it's about a 30 minutes ride to Liseberg. But we wanted to be sure that we would be first in line, so that we wouldn't have to be in a huge line to get the annual pass and by that missing the opening of Uppswinget. And on the way there we did a little detour on the way there to take some pictures on our usual spot. In the park we met up wit the TPR/old CF member Olov. The park was running great for the day, little brake-downs, not so crowded and the queues were short (about 5-30 minutes). Ride count: Uppswinget 4 times. Lisebergbanan 3 times. Balder 3 times. Kanonen 1 time. Now on to the pictures. There it is finally done, and Lisebergbanan looking ace in the spring. Soon my precious I will ride you again. Closeup on Uppswinget. (Note the tree that grows in front of Uppswinget, it's almost up the the railing.) Photo from the queue into the park, with an extreme angle to it. The Logo. Image of one swing from the Uppswinget queue. Air-tank. Swing time. Lisebergbanan underneath, with moss on the roof. Uppswinget from the side. Other side. From the line of Lisebergbanan. Balder when it broke down just after we rode it. Helixy bit of Lisebergbanan. Kanonen. Uppswinget and Lisebergbanan <3. Uppswinget from Lisebergbanan. Uppswinget in action from the other location. And now to some nice graphs from the Accelerometer. Uppswinget. Balder. Lisebergbanan.
  21. Lol, me, my brother (Lond) and Olov is on that picture.
  22. New photos today. Uppswinget. There was a competition to be one of the first rider on Uppswinget, too bad that I saw that after I got home.♦ And from the rest of the park More work done on Balder. Trains are on Lisebergbanan, maybe start testing soon. Some guy riding on the top of the car on Uppskjutet (Space shot).
  23. ^ PM:ed. Were by the park yesterday and took some new pictures. Not much more to see at the moment, they have added some rails and a bit of paint and the ride looks much more complete then last time. But I also received some rumors on that Uppswinget have started testing. Now onto the pictures.
  24. Easy, you have to terraform before you support the track. If you do then it won't happen. To fix this track, remove all supports and then redo them with woodmagic.
  25. New update as of today. First some about Uppswinget and then some other things I saw in the park. Uppswinget is now almost complete. An overview picture of the ride. Closeup on the "swings", and no this won't be a floorless model that some have hoped for, because of the concept art. Another overview from another angle. If you want a big overview image of the whole park including Balder, Lisebergbanan and everything else, CLICK HERE (Warning this is an 4000x970 pixel image, about 5.5 MB). Uppswinget now dominates that part of Lisebergbanan. Some other stuff. There was work being done on Balder. And some other on a new themed section/restaurant for next season, this place had a kind of mudslide a couple of days ago.
