  1. Good for you Edward, too bad that I'm currently 1000 miles away from Liseberg to join you, but I will probably get down to that part of Sweden about the 2:nd week in June to get my first rides this year. My first inversion on Liseberg Loopen the same year it closed almost 13 years ago. If you want to experience some more cool inversions then you should go up to Tusenfryd, they have both Vekoma's and more Intamins.
  2. In a local newspaper today there was an article about the future expansion of Liseberg. During 2003 Liseberg started to investigate the possibility to expand the park to the south with a new area. This investigation was stopped during 2004 because a possible train tunnel that was going to be built under that area to increase the flow of train through the city. They have now decided that the tunnel won't go under that area, and Liseberg wants that the municipality to restart the planning for that area. Area map: The green area is where the park is situated today. The yellow area is where the expansion would take place, today it's just a big parking lot, it's about 100 m wide and 300 m long. The black box is where a parking garage have been built. In the red area Liseberg owns some buildings (maintenance, etc.) and are trying to acquire the more of them, since this is the only direction for them to expand further. Blue is the Mölndal river that runs through the park. Todays article: This is a picture of the area coming from the old planning application from 2004. Translated: Top left: new design of the south entrance to the park. Top right: New connection to the park, the road between will be closed. Middle right: Make use of location by the river. Middle: New building (the long rectangle to the left) towards the road to the left for stores, etc. These will serve as a noise guard for the people living on the other side of the road. Bottom: New parking garage to compensate for the loss of parking space. PDF of the old planning application: HERE (Swedish) The area according to the old plan was going to be more year round orientated to expand the season as much as possible, but if it was supposed to be an indoor section or not is unknown. This old plan was made by the municipality planning office and it's not made by Liseberg, and since these are a few years old they might change. And the managing director of Liseberg, Mats Wedin, isn't ready to give any clues on what they are planning on just yet, so we just have to wait and see. I just hopes that this expansion would spawn a few new coasters.
  3. It's: Slalom at Pattaya Park Funny Land
  4. Wonder if I should enter my Intamin 12 loop design I posted a few months ago...
  5. ^ You are a participant, and by the rules you are not be allowed to vote. The easy way to one of these polls is that if you want to vote then you may not vote for your own, simple.
  6. To ride Dodonpa again, just to feel the complete rush.
  7. ^ Yours is Monte Makaya - Terra Encantada
  8. Ahem... http://www.rcdb.com/id1168.htm Get your facts straight.
  9. It must be a shuttle, since the 2 non shuttles that have that kind of loop supports have track running through them, and this one don't. Unless there is an installation that I'm not aware of...
  10. Should this poll continue any longer or should I declare myself the winner?
  11. No because you specified: And then look at the detailed results and you see that, DATman and DBru both voted for DATman's track, and by your rules these votes are both invalid, which makes Divemasters Clondo Coaster the winner.
  12. No. But as I have said to others, it could take a few days or many months. And asking about it will not speed up the progress, if anything it will slow it down.
  13. Since they say "mini-roller coaster", I would guess a Wacky Worm or something.
  14. Something like: Come and vote for your favorite track or something.
  15. I'm pretty happy with the result as it is at the moment. An idiotic fact with the results a they are at the moment (9,4,1,0) is that they form the values of a parabola. But yeah, we need more voters.
  16. Custom, ha. That version is the standard SFC from Vekoma, exactly the same as the one at Movie Park Germany. Jimmi Neutron's Atomic Flyer But the trains are pretty sweet though, to bad that they don't swing as much.
  17. Can you put all coasters on the first post so you don't have to look for them thought the topic.
  18. Can you put all coasters on the first post so you don't have to look for them thought the topic.
  19. I voted for Thrillrideseeker's coaster since that track was most appealing to me. And sfotkid, you might want to change the title somewhat to advertise that the poll to decide the winner is running to attract more voters.
  20. I haven't any g-logs from Montezoomas Revenge, but I have one from the Shuttle loop at Nagashima Spa Land and my brother have one from Greased Lightning at SFKK. First up is From Nagashima Spa Land This one is from SFKK And from these logs I would say that they pull around 5.5 g as a maximum force, but it could easily peak at over 6 g's. But if you compare the logs that we have from the same type of coasters (clones in fact) then you notice that they are pretty different. This is because I sat pretty far back in the train when I logged mine and my brother sat more towards the front when logging the one at SFKK. So you see that there is a mayor difference in forces depending on where you sit in the train.
  21. ^ I get them from a place called Filter Forge. But I don't use the filters for Photoshop (since I don't have it), just the "preview" images.
  22. ^ No, not until the whole track is done.
