Coasters and all other buildings in earthquake prone areas are built to withstand violent quakes, that's the man reason why SD2K was over 50 million $ when it was built, it have a lot more structure to cope with those forces. I guess that they have a couple of guys inspecting a piece each, and there are handrails on all the catwalks around SD2K

Photo TR: Behemoth/Ravine Flyer Trip

Awesome PTR, and really great pictures!! I'm a bit bummed that I was unable to go on this trip But there is always the future. About the photos, what kind of camera do you use? -
You must think of Mega Coaster at Hamanako Pal Pal, but I'm pretty sure that R&E didn't ride it until late 2005, though. And when we rode it last year, it was still awesome, like every other Togo/Mesiho coaster we rode.

You probably should lower that roof a bit, to make it a bit more proportional. Other then that, I must say it looks pretty good for an AHG track. -
There is a few errors in the Screamscape article, that is quoted at the top, namely that there isn't a place called "China" in Tokyo, but it should be "Chiba". Wonder if this will be semirough that some of the Senyo Kyogo coasters are? And would you be able to count it as a credit for every run between stations, or that you have to ride the whole stretch of the line in both directions to get it?

Inversions vs. Angle of Descent

The Jr. Immelmann is basically the same as the inclined dive loop found on Hydra, but backwards. -
Inversions vs. Angle of Descent
Loefet replied to JDo217's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The drop on Steel Hawg is more of a Inversion then a drop, since the car is braked when it goes over the top, and not a true drop. If it were to be counted as a drop, then so should the ones on Screaming Squirls and the Cool'n'Fresh. An inversion could be counted as a piece of track that is more for the enjoyment for the rider then what's needed to handle the forces, an example of this is the Stengeldive on Goliath - WW. -
Most inversions on a coaster

Eejanaika, with 14 I have no idea on how they count it. If you go with real inversions then Colossus at Thorpe. -

About the 12 looper, the design and layout of it was showed in the ECC magazine, First Drop, a few issues ago. And I made a recreation of it in NL, with a few pictures here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41432&highlight= -

^ I'm not sure why they removed the Immelmann turn, could have been since they had little space or that they had to remove it because the block section would have been to far to remove stacking. -

^ Instead of the airtimehill and the turn up to the MCBR, there were another MCBR and an Immelman turn like the ones found on Rage and Spongebob. -

^ I think that the ridehost crew is making updates to the page, I really hope they do since that it's the best way to store files. I'm currently 1000 miles away from my main computer, but I will post it when I get back to it later today (if I remember it ). -
