^Re-ads are usually given out as 1 per group and the CM writes the group size and signs the re-ad. There are both single attraction (only valid for the attraction you got it at) re-ads and Resort wide (every attraction is fair use, with exceptions) re-ads. Haven't seen the Resort wide ones in a while though... And Disney does need an infrastructure improvement. However I do believe as per the agreement with the city, they have to get started on the new parking structure by the end of 2017. Or maybe that was any infrastructure... Right now the resort in its current state has found and surpassed its comfortable capacity limit. The first 24 hour party was a prime example. I do think that Disney will start working on fixing the multitude of issues dealing with capacity, but right now they can rest easy knowing that since demand is still so high they can just keep bumping prices to "influence" crowd levels. I just don't see Disney pumping any money into the Resort infrastructure until Star Wars is more than just concept art as they don't "need" any improvements yet.

Is there any word of when New Revolution is expected to open? Just wondering for the trip I'm planning in late April! I would love to ride it, it would be my first Schwarzkopf (I was foiled by "no single riders" on other I had a chance to ride) They are currently aiming for a March opening so you just might be in luck!

Scream just this year as well. Revolution last got repainted when Tatsu opened, but even then they only painted the guest facing parts of the ride. Repainting Tatsu is definitely necessary, but if they do end up doing it, it's going to be really really expensive. Most of the track is only accessible by crane and not a simpler or cheaper boom lift or scissor lift since it's on the side of a hill. Crane=expensive. (For reference, Twisted Colossus was constructed almost entirely using various lifts, crane was only used to pull the lift chain through; very cost friendly. Scream was repainted by in park crews using boom lifts, super simple and cost friendly.) Not only are cranes more expensive, but with a job like painting it's much slower. It's too bad that they didn't use better paint on Tatsu the first time around (a capital decision I know). Thus ends my schtick about painting, you now know more than you ever needed to. Needless to say, the ride that is now in the worst (aesthetic) shape is also the one ride in the park that would be the most time consuming and expensive to repaint. TL:DR Tatsu repaint? I'd be surprised.

Europa Park Discussion Thread

I am just imagining that inline twist at the end while spinning, it was crazy even when it didn't spin! -
Fridays during the day aren't bad as school is still in, but it definitely fills up at night. Not as bad as Saturdays though, Saturday nights are insane. Sorry to hear that you had such a bad time... Although I have a really hard time believing that the monsters in the scare zones were on their phones. That's instant termination at Magic Mountain. I would agree though that the atmosphere really does change for the better when there are more people in the park. The catch 22 is that the lines are much longer. In all honesty, opening weekend of Fright Fest is always like a big dress rehearsal. It's the first weekend of all the talent getting acclimated to scaring groups of people and not just one or two supervisors. It's the first weekend where the event personnel have to figure out how to manage the lines quickly and efficiently. I'm in no way giving the park a pass, but I try to avoid all Halloween opening weekends for that exact reason. I don't know how much more the talent get to prepare at other parks, but it's a different ball game when you have thousands of guests to acclimate to. I'd love to hear about how this weekend goes now that everyone has two full days under their belts.

Completely agree with your assessment of food locations. Almost every day without fail at the Full Throttle wings and hot dog counters there is almost never more than one person manning the register. There will be 2 only during peak hours on a busy day. Just trying to get a refill on the sports bottle (because the Freestyle machines are so frequently out of ice) it often takes me 15 minutes to finally get one. But yes, Wednesday was equivalent to a Saturday crowd-wise. Too bad you missed out on Twisted Colossus though...

Fright Fest Saturdays are probably some of the worst days of the year to go, granted this Saturday won't be AS bad but still... Magic Mountain's highest daily attendance is hit on a Saturday in the middle of Fright Fest. And while the mazes and scare zones do take some people away from rides, the difference is minimal.

Europa Park Discussion Thread

This x1000 it blew my mind just how casual and fantastic all of the ride ops were. And Halloween looks fantastic at Europa! That park was truly incredible... -
If you go on a Sunday you won't need an express pass. The crowds really thin out towards the end of the night. That goes for any night at Fright Fest though, the last half hour or so the crowds really thin out. If I were to visit Fright Fest, I would do this: Gates open at 7 for mazes so hit Toyz, Vault 666, and Red's Revenge all right off the bat when lines aren't long. (Those mazes are all right next to each other) Then take the Orient Express up the hill and hit Willoughby's Resurrected and Garden of Darkness while you're up there. Walk down the hill of death and head straight to Aftermath (right next to Riddler's Revenge) and boom, you've done all the mazes in 1.5 to 2 hours depending on crowds and what rides you go on along the way. I definitely left out Cupacabra, but it's so bad and not on the way to anything that it's skipable unless you find yourself over by X2 in which case it won't have much of a line anyway. Helpful hint: Get your maze wristbands BEFORE 7 so you don't wait in the massive line to get them.... Get them a lot earlier in the day. Also be sure to check out Unleashed at the Looking Glass Theatre and Voodoo Nights at Full Throttle. (Say hi to me if you'd like) As well as the scare zones, especially the one in the Screampunk District since that's the new one this year. Have a great time!
