Work begins on Terminator wooden roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator SalvationDemolition crews have begun to clear space for the new Six Flags Magic Mountain wooden roller coaster scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend 2009. The Great Coasters International woodie will be built next to the Déjà Vu looping steel coaster and in the same location as Psyclone, a reviled wooden coaster mercifully removed from the Valencia amusement park in 2006. Despite the outcry in Internet forums at the obvious incongruity, the new wooden coaster will almost certainly carry the futuristic name Terminator: The Ride, a tie-in with the upcoming movie This is from http://travel.latimes.com/daily-deal-blog/index.php/terminator-magic-mou-2874/ Which is the LA times so it sounds like Psyclone's old spot will be where the new terminator coaster will go. I am going to say the rumor is confirmed.

I really enjoy the woodie. I think this is currently my favorite RCT2 park, actually this, epic adventures, and tlm,s liberty gardens

All right guys this is Clarence again. I got another exclusive sneak peak of the park and Im gonna have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. The park now has its own areas. The areas and new attraction reviews Poseidon's Gardens- The themimng for this area was still under construction but I enjoyed what I saw. Leviathan's station looks pretty cool and I got a much better photo of the ride itself. Thief- New for Poseidon's Gardens- Thief is an intamin drop tower that is 250ft tall. The rides story line is that you are trying to steal the Poseidon jewels which are considered to be the rarest stone in the world. As you get the stone the alarms go off and you begin to go up which is you trying to escape. At 250 feet up Poseidon's fury strikes you and you fall all the way down back into the cavern. 50's land- Home of RIOT! the parks GCI wooden roller coaster. The park has also added a tumbler, a tilt a whirl, and teacups. Land of Enchantment- aka kiddie land- This area was roped off when KI visited the park and executive design Dan Schneider has told me that they are theming and expanding the area as we speak. There will be one final construction update before opening before opening day so keep reading Clarhill SCR298.BMP As promised Leviathan's layout SCR305.BMP Some theming for Poseidon's gardens as well as Leviathan's station SCR289.BMP New stuff will happen in this area soon. That was a great TR. I just wished California was getting a plug n play instead of Terminator. I am still really excited about Terminator though as I have als\ways wanted to ride a GCI and sit in millennium flyers.

This may just be an American thing ( I have a Swiss friend and he had very little understanding of what halloween was until he came to the US.) but that thing in the teaser shot looks like a pumpkin so it is either some kind of haunt or like TLM said a haunt themed indoor coaster.

I love the concept for the dueling hypers. It reminded me of something I did a while ago called grizzly. This is a great park with a kiddie coaster of doom.

This is my return to RCT2 and the sister park to DBru's Paramount's Gardens of America. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In July 1997 the proposal for Colorado's Paramount's Lake Clarence was accepted and construction begun right away. Clarence Hill here for a photo TR of the park. Today I decided to go check out the backstage sneak peak of the park ( I am a member of the parks board of directors and today we got a sneak peek. We even got a ride on one of the few completed rides in the park called Riot. It was amazing considering that GCI has so far only opened one other roller coaster in Hershey, Pennsylvania called Wild Cat. There was a lot of airtime and it was rather forceful. I cannot believe that we are getting the worlds first " eurofighter" although there are two more planned for different parks. One being called Nighthawk for a park called Blue Ridge Park and another called Werewolf at Flussgärten Familienpark which is a park in Europe. The proposed name for the coaster is Leviathan and I must say I was rather impressed with the theming. I woukd have gotten a better shot but I don't want to ruin any surprises, although I may give you an overhead shot next update for the layout . We had lunch at the burger shack on the midway and got to see the kiddie area. TPR's newest member Clarhill Comments please SCR288.BMP There is the swans boat house along with shooting star Jr., the parks frog hopper. Hmmm I wonder why they did not just call it shooting star... I guess only time will tell. SCR286.BMP Here is the kiddie area of the park. There is a custom vekoma roller skater with some pretty sweet landscape work. There are also some old school rides like swan paddle boats SCR279.BMP The midway- food courts and a restroom. I am expecting there will be quite a bit more here soon though. It looks pretty nice I think SCR285.BMP There is a B&M eurofighter under construction. This is amazing, I have never seen a drop that steep. This coaster will have the world record for steepest drop when it opens in the 1997 Guinness book of world records. The coaster is not yet complete. SCR281.BMP Cool and beautiful water effects were recently added to the ending of the ride. It will get many people a little wet when the ride opens soon SCR283.BMP Here is the park entrance. That's true except for the fact that Evil Kineval (sp?) seemed to go up pretty fast. Of course that might have been because it was almost a clone and a layout was posted. Hopefully we will know before the end of the month.
