  1. ^ You do realize Babe is a giant blue ox, right?. thanks for the comments guys.
  2. Hey, California has bugs in it! Okay, it's a fair point. The individual lands of Disneyland are more coherent and make more sense than those of DCA. But still, based on what you've said above, it seems that you would agree that Disneyland never even tried to have an overall theme. So is that better or worse than DCA not succeeding in having one? I guess what I'm saying is, if DCA were called "Construction Wall Park," would we be lauding it as a triumph of consistent theming? California Adventure really doesn't "mean" anything. But, really, neither does "Disneyland." And if we're going to go after DCA for it, we should really be tearing Epcot a new one! The main reason Disneyland is so loved is that it literally is the first "theme park." Also, Disney is one of the few parks that actually makes you feel so immersed by the environment. I mean, how many parks are you gonna find four mountains(including space) but DCA is different, because California is a state, not space, the west, or New Orleans. Parts of DCA such as Grizzly are stunning, but certain things such as Maliboomer and a giant orange are really quite an eyesore.
  3. That is an interesting claim, while Elissa hates spinning rides, she loves Intamin, so does she love it or hate it, Robb?
  4. Unfortunately the spinner has been scrapped because 8 cars stopped working. However, a family PTC wooden roller coaster has been added to the woodlands. It is a family wooden Roller coaster inspired by Kennywood's Jack Rabbit, and it is called Jackrabbit. Mini update SCR510.BMP Jack Rabbit, pre theming. SCR501.BMP Yeehaw! SCR502.BMP Matador is inspired by bullet, and is the first GG coaster to feature Timber Flyer trains.
  5. It does look great, but you cant really have a mega light and a hyper fusion, as they are seeentially the same thing, just one is smaller.
  6. Isn't a megalight just a mini hyper. Looks nice so far, and I like your logo.
  7. Hey guys, My parents took away my laptop, and got it back yesterday, and continued to work on a project that has taken a lot of time so far. I began the park when I realized how un six flagsish SFOD was and how much I hated no CS parks. This park is inspired by all the awesome RCT2 builders such as TLM( the legendary mathew) DBru, BRteller, Belgian Guy, and anyone else I am forgetting, sorry. This park is inspired particularly by Belgian Guy's Thrill Point. Also, a lot of advice about adding doors and windows, different kinds of roofs, and spending more time on everything in general(I must admit though, my layouts have always been pretty good. ) I still want this to feel like one of my parks, so it is still bright, vibrant, and somewhat eye popping(you'll see what I mean) NOW (drum roll please) The sections and rides(so far) of Texas Adventures The woodlands Babe the Blue Ox- A semi terrain based B&M hyper coaster inspired by parts of pretty much every B&M hyper so far. You must be 54 inches tall to ride BABE This area will receive quite a few flats and a log flume Spain El Matador- A crazy Martin & Vleminckx Group coaster inspired by the Boardwalk Bullet/Fireball. The coaster is extremely twisted and riders will go though over 2 minutes of twisted track and ejector airtime- Guests must be more than 50 inches tall to ride alone, and 48 inches tall to ride with adult/guardian. More pictures will come tonight of El Matador as my first pictures of it did not work. El Tiemple de Jade- Highly themed Huss Topspin The Jade temple is currently one of the most amazing tourist attractions in the world. The top of the temple is made of Jade, and the temple is somehow protected, no one would ever attempt to steal anything from this beautiful temple... Until now. Discover what lies inside this temple and see if you can escape the Jade Temple, if not, there is no one to hear you scream. Guests must be 52 inches tall to ride. Tornado Alley- small park area A thrilling unique experience for the entire family featuring the Texas Tornado, a unique Intamin Spinner as well as a simulator and dark ride, both are currently under construction. Here are some pics of the area PLEASE COMMENT SCR491.BMP Here's a little teaser of the Texas Tornado, more pictures next update. SCR497.BMP Support killer- I dont know exactly what this does, but my supports are nice. SCR484.BMP Babe's themed tunnel. SCR483.BMP Babe's Station. SCR495.BMP BABE'S lift. SCR487.BMP The Texas Garden Cafe, a five star steakhouse located in the front of the park containing it's famous Garden Salad(how the restaurant got its name), some of the juiciest meat anywhere, and live jazz bands every friday and saturday night. SCR489.BMP El Tiemple De la Jade. It looks awesome! SCR485.BMP Matador's station from another angle. SCR486.BMP El Matadors station!
  8. Proud owner of a speedo tan(its okay though, I play water polo.)
  9. Easily the best Eurofighter I have ever ridden! Nice work.
  10. Hell Yeah, with a crane that big we are definitly getting a Rocket or Hyper. Also, I will try to get some pics this weekend. More importantly, has anyone seen anything with cars land, i was surprised during my last visit, because the land does not seem that big and looks very flat. Of course, Disneyland is one of the few places with completely man made mountains and stuff. Also, is Route 66 racers a coaster? cause Test Track is not one, although many people think it is.
  11. Nicholas Cage, a man who annoys me so much it's not even funny. How many ghostriders need to suck? I mean, the coaster is rough as hell and still kicked the movies ass.
  12. Ahh, I so wish I could go again, but I Suck! So there is no real point in buying a gun. Joey, what is your favorite local paintball place? I have only been to Camp Penelton(sp) and Jungle Island, and greatly preferred Jungle Island.
  13. That was awesome, and I will order in a few years when I move out, because my mom said "that is like the geekiest thing ever" when I asked if I could by a DVD, also meaning the word NO. I cant wait until college where my coaster porn collection will be so large and so X rated... Well, lets just say I'll have some good nights.
  14. ^ Or, you can go the California Adventure way and scare the hell out of little kids on coasters. This happened in line for Screamin last time I was there Little Girl: I bet this is not as scary as space mountain Mom" We'll see (train launches) Girl: Begins to scream in terror (Airtime Hill) THe Mom: We're going to die! Same applies to Tower of Terror. There was actually a point to that entire story, and here it is. Magic Mountain, while smart to be getting a "family ride" would not be smart to build a kiddie coaster without a kiddie land. It has a reputation for having tons of coasters, and if you looks at it from the outside all you see is twisted B&M tracks, Goliath, X, and viper. If I was little I would see the outside and just say no way. Terminator is a great move for the park, because 50mph is a speed that will not terrify kids, but will not totally bore thrill seekers.
  15. cough cough CREDIT WHORE cough cough But, seriously! Who would count rebel yell as 2 credits? They are clones of each other, right? At least, that's what it looks like on RCDB, which is pretty reliable.
  16. Yeah, but they at least use the word roller coaster. for Test Track, the word roller coaster is not even mentioned.
  17. I think he is lying underneath the blankie and hugging his mom. Can we make him an account? Or even better, does he already have one? He says her has seen the pictures, so we need to try to figure out if he is a member. If he is a member... well lets just say I vote for having a coasterboy thread. Also, how come no one told me Tyler had a four year old? I would have sent a gift.
  18. LMAO- If Disney does not consider test track a roller coaster, than plunge definitely is not a coaster, no question. From Disneyworld.com The Test Track attraction is a 5-minute, high-octane thrill ride that takes Guests through a series of vehicle prototype tests on what is one of Disney's longest, fastest rides. Hold on tight as the cars reach 60 miles per hour on 50-degree banked curves!
  19. Yeah, but isn't the Denver thing not really a lazy river and more of a water slide? I am just speaking from experience from working at Wild Rivers, which, as you know, is pretty ghetto.
  20. It's a lazy river, the entire attraction is going to have to be under surveillance by lifeguards. Part of a lifeguard's responsibilities is to enforce their facility's rules, so yeah... That's true, but won't that ruin the "experience" for guests? If they want to make this as cool as the concept the life guards will really make this seem cheesy. Like, on the jungle cruise, the skipper is in a costume an actual tour guide would wear and is in costume the entire time. At Wild Rivers(where I work) our life guards are wearing a white T shirt and red board shorts. From the concept art, unless the life guards wear a special uniform to keep the theme, that will make everything seem really lame. Also, I am sure lifeguards won't be everywhere, and I think some of the GP are stupid in general(pre teen boys on any lazy river, right WildStangAlex?) anyway, unless there is a life guard everywhere, someone will touch the mechanical effects,Especially if what Elissa said is true, every other park has the sense to keep theirs so they are pretty much impossible to touch. What is a member of the GP decides to stick his hands in the crocks mouth? That would still hurt even of it was fake. I would be surprised if this turns out nearly as cool as the concept are, and if they don't somehow get a lawsuit or something. The Of Course I am a bit of a pessimist, which is clear in the above post Ghost
  21. ^ Surprisingly, that's not what the coaster does at all. Anyway, the coaster had a few pumps(nothing major) the airtime was descent, Very B&Mish. Also, it was pretty cool to see you make a ride that was not an exact clone, but more of a interpretation of the coaster, it was fun.
