Download A *FREE* Theme Park Review DVD!!!
DisWiz replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I had a slight problem with mine that I eventually got fixed but I figured I'd post it in case others are having the same problem. I downloaded the iPod version and it had the extension .mp4.gz on it (I downloaded using Google Chrome). Well WinRar wouldn't unzip this and neither would my other zipping program. I actually had to change my folder settings to see the extension and just deleted the .gz off of the file name so that it just had .mp4 . It now seems to work perfectly in my media program. Or was it supposed to be zipped? -
Cowabunga Bay waterpark
DisWiz replied to montezooma's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've gone back and forth on my feelings of the price of the season pass and now I think I agree with it. That's one problem we have down here in the next valley at Seven Peaks. You can get season passes for around 30 dollars, and it's always insanely packed with tons of kids. So as others have mentioned, and I agree, that it will cut down on the "let the waterpark babysit my kids" thinking. -
Rollercoaster Car on Ebay
DisWiz replied to andyuk200523's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think they should have put in the park up the street like they did with the old log flume log. The log looks quite nice with a bunch of flowers in it. But 40 quid? Is this actually legit? That seems waaaay low for the entire car. -
Lagoon Park Photo Trip Report 04/11/2009
DisWiz replied to linearinduction's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I can't wait to get up to Lagoon fairly soon. Nice trip report though. I never knew you could request a cycle for Samurai. Who's best to request that? (I seem to remember the guy in the control booth usually comes out to held with load/unload and that he'd be the best choice. But as Samurai has been down the last few times I've been to Lagoon I can't fully remember). -
I know I've seen on other discussion board layouts a slightly different icon appears if you've posted in that thread previously. It actually does make it really easy to know on topics page if you've posted in it.

Disney Ride Op Simulators

I didn't see this link posted elsewhere in this thread. Disney Sims There are some fun ones on here, I'm just waiting for Midway Mania to be done. -

I wish a tutorial was created to help others build these type of programs. -
I'm not sure if this has been suggested before in this thread, if it has I do apologize. I love CoasterTube and the wonderful coaster videos I can now have access to. But when I'm reading a Photo TR and someone embeds a couple of videos on the post the page just drags and lags while it loads all of the videos onto the page. This is just a suggestion, that it doesn't load the whole video unless you perhaps click on the window? I don't know what others think, but that's just my two cents.

Cowabunga Bay waterpark
DisWiz replied to montezooma's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I think if you look closely at the top view of the slide it says future slide (or something along those lines). It appears to be the only one that is planned to be added in the future. -

About time Utah gets another water park! I'm really excited about this, I've been saying we need another one. Although I was thinking of down in Utah County but Draper is close enough. It looks good! Within the plans are there ideas of how they can expand the park in the future? -
TPR's Ever Evolving Park Index
DisWiz replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Sorry about that I missed the dimensions rules. I re-submitted them. (The pictures of Jet Star 2 were from '06 and with newer pictures in the Park Index it seems like the ride side might not be up anymore. Just FYI). Let me know if you have interest in more Lagoon pictures (Since you already have a handful in the park index). -

DisWiz replied to Milkchan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Took this quote from this article here http://www.funworldmagazine.com/2006/aug/features/coaster_connoisseurs/coasterconn.html "Each has its advantages and disadvantages,” explains Kernacs. “The LSM coaster is a more complex design and requires more sensitive sensors, but it produces twice the force as the LIM for the same amount of energy, and you don’t need brakes because the LSM system acts as the brakes. The LIM is easier to design and maintain, but it only produces half the torque, and you must have an anti-rollback system because the LIMs will not brake. Eventually, I believe the LSM coasters will be favored over LIM coasters because of their higher efficiency" -

I thought the whole point of LSM's is that they actually won't allow rollbacks. I don't know the technicals of it but how it's set-up the cars aren't allowed to go the other direction with LSMs so there is no need for a braking zone or anti-rollback device on the lift. But with LIMs it won't stop the car and will allow it to rollback. Atleast this is what I've read if anybody can confirm this or add more insight it would be appreciated. -
Disneyland RCT2
DisWiz replied to DisWiz's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I used photoshop but I copied and pasted the picture to a new blank area so that I could save it as a .jpg That's all that I really did different. -
I actually was going to go up there tomorrow and catch a ride. But through a change of plans I won't be up there to ride it for about 2 weeks, but I still will! I really hope I don't get stuck behind a slow person, that would make the 15 bucks so not worth it. Of course the change of plan was to head to Rocky Point Haunted House which is only one of best in the U.S.

Thanks! I'm glad you were able to view it, it's scary putting it on the web and hoping that the file will work for everyone and that I did it right. -

They are downloadable objects that I found on the web. If you open my Disneyland file it should automatically give them to you. -
Disneyland RCT2
DisWiz replied to DisWiz's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Well folks, the construction of Disneyland is done!! Yay!! Today over 150 custodians were hired and are seen in this picture getting ready to enter the park for the very first time. The park will open later today for guests (the RCT peeps) and there will be some final tweaking and building of secret paths (since the peeps aren't the brightest in getting around). Then this wonderful park will be finished and ready for download! -
Just thought I'd let the fine people of TPR take a look at my Disneyland recreation and tell me their thoughts. Those are just a few snippets of different areas of the park and basically the park is complete. (I just have to finish up the buildings in the New Orleans section) Hopefully you like the look of these photos! Tell me what you think.

Lagoon Discussion Thread
DisWiz replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah they do have one. Too bad when I went recently it was down, that's one of the few reasons to go back to Lagoon yearly.
