  1. Incorrect. For example, the "airtime down raven" shown in the profile view is a late-twisting Dive loop, just like on Wonder Woman. It's not what's shown in the 3D animation. Not too mention the lack of an "overbank cutback" or "180-stall" in the 3D rendering too. The 3D rendering is completely different than the two 2D renderings shown (referred to as "Double Out" and "Triple Out"). Wonder Woman is also different than anything previously shown, although mostly similar to the triple out 2D model.
  2. This number is from marketing material 2 years ago, it may even be higher now.
  3. Could one of these be for Knott's? Source from the bottom of this page This list is also from Oct-16, so it's already out-dated (missing Energylandia's Mega for example), but here's some cross-checked with rcdb: 3 Family launched coasters: SWSA, Le Pal (Yukon), and Ankapark Reverse Free Fall: Turbo Track at Ferrari World Surf Rider: Shanghai Disney (Toy Story) Moscow's was changed to 10-inversion 10-inversion - Ankapark or Movie Animation Double Impulse - Wanda LSM - Chengdu Wanda Unknowns: 2 other LSM, Vertical LSM, and dueling LSM - ???? Suspended Family - ? Zacspin/Multi Dimension - ??
  4. That ''leak'' was fake, though. Correct. Also, I'd take any RMC over any GCI at this point (expect maybe Mountain Flyer in China)
  5. 2017 is a bit ambitious. But for 2018? That's hard to say. We have RMC Raptor at SFFT, RMC Mean Streak, RMC Hurler, RMC GA Cyclone, Polish Intamin Mega Coaster, Blackpool's Icon multi-LSM Mack, Alton's GCI, and unknown coasters at KBF and CGA. Can SDC's coaster really beat all of these?
  6. That's very possible, but it'll have to be at least 3X longer than the Stingray model in order to achieve the "longest flying coaster" record they promised!
  7. It actually means it's like HRRR Oh...okay. Well, I don't feel glad anymore. Thx. lol I bet a moving platform would help capacity a lot more than a Mr Freeze-type system would
  8. Bring back Hammerhead! *This was the first ride (including coasters) I rode that went upside down. I rode this in like 2000 I think
  9. You know, that makes a LOT of sense! Especially if the ride started off with a dive like the plane didn't work, but then swoops upward and flies for the rest of the layout! Oh, and that drop looks ludicrous
  10. If KBF finally gets a major coaster after all these years, and it's Intamin! But then it's a Surfrider called Hangtime....
  11. I'm willing to bet money that CGA WILL get an RMC Raptor. I'm also willing to bet that they will get it open before SFFT. And I'm also willing to bet it'll be a similar, if not identical layout.
  12. Headchoppers galore for the full third lap it seems! That was the coolest aspect of the original coaster, IMO. I'm glad they're keeping that aspect
  13. While there's a lot of RMC hype in another thread today, Mean Streak has it's THIRD inversion track placed! A standard zero-g roll (much like the two at the end of Wicked Cyclone)
  14. I have the same opinion, but my hunch says CGA's version will be VERY similar if not identical. Maybe mirrored? The 110' stat lines up with both rides. Also, I think the rendering might be deceiving. The pool the ride is over is the same as the one's that currently there, which would make this ride a lot closer to the quarry wall than is shown
  15. Lightning Rod They ripped out a lot of the track over the last few years and replaced it with new track made by RMC. The drop even has some airtime now... no for real. I prefaced this by saying that you'd have to be uber-technical to count this as an RMC now. I don't want to derail the conversation. I have no idea how much of the track is RMC track, nor do I care. If you count that, then you should also count that SFGAm and SFNE have two RMC-tracked coasters, and SFFT will have three. 4D Free Spin track is manufactured by RMC I don't think that opinion is that hot of a take. This year's cap-ex was super weak 5 parks will be soaking up the major part of that Cap ex. Everything else will probably be very small. I mean the 2017 cap ex when I said "this year," not things getting announced this year.
  16. For those capacity nay-sayers. Apparently the station will be a conveyor system. (I don't know the credibility of this tweet)
  17. I don't think that opinion is that hot of a take. This year's cap-ex was super weak
  18. I remember people flipping out at the capacity of Superman at SFDK. Or Green Lantern at SFMM. Or every single 4D Free Spin (especially at the larger parks). This one really shouldn't be worse than those.
  19. RMC has said that they want to see how the Raptor will do before graduating to the larger models, so I imagine SFGAdv will get a TRex, but not until 2019, 2020.
  20. SFFT's RMC Raptor is 110' tall, so that could very well mean CGA is ALSO building a Raptor! Here we go, 5 RMC's in the US in 2018 - WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE
  21. 110' drop. Can we confirm this is what CGA is getting too??
