  1. Headed there Friday of Easter weekend! Yeah not buying FL until I get there if needed. I really only want to ride flume, TT, i305, Drop Zone. Sorry Apple Zapple.
  2. I hope Millennium's lift issues are taken care of for 2022 or else you really are stuck with the front of the park or Magnum. I'm still trying to understand why the new restaurant is going in Frontierland, where there's already a seasonal food event, pizza, sweets, vegetarian food stall, bbq, cfa, and more. Would have loved to see a new dark ride in that space, but perhaps they're going to do away with more 3rd party restaurants soon.
  3. Hagrid has not been on early entry recently, I know it has been for perhaps since early 2021?Velocicoaster is the featured early entry IOA attraction and has been for a while this year. I personally haven't had any good experiences using the single rider line, and I prefer to just wait for VC since it's typically 30-40 min or less. Hagrid I've not experienced any downtime with yet, just a steady 45-60 min wait at the end if the day or dinner time. January 3-February 28, 2022 Available Attractions: Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™ Flight of the Hippogriff™ Jurassic World VelociCoaster Ollivanders™ Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will operate during regular park hours. *Subject to availability https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/early-park-admission
  4. Love the shake up of these top 25s! I hope more people are able to travel this year and next.
  5. I can't wait until they create a speed-coaster-dating event focused on bReAkInG the IcE
  6. It's a big bummer that this park is a 'few hours to half day park' in reality, it really needs to be fed more thrills. The flat rides are plentiful, the flume looks fun, and adding more rides will hopefully make their lower capacity rides reduce wait times a bit.
  7. The park is really pretty and is going to be looking better than ever for its upcoming anniversary year, I would love to see WOF get a new thrilling coasters. Mamba was way better than expected and Prowler is a great GCI, combo that with Patriot and you've got a solid big 3. Would love a #4.
  8. Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Jeweled Ear Hat for Adults – Limited Release $1000
  9. Ah that's right. I didn't experience it since the wait time was 90 min + so wasn't sure where it takes place.
  10. Also they really need to figure out what to do with the old Shoot the Rapids area where they bandaided the sky flyer.
  11. Loooots of room for a new addition over there..
  12. Nah the Pokemon card thing is all Logan Paul's fault. He ruined card collecting by bringing this kind of attention to the hobby and inviting a massive wave of scammers and scalpers. I'm so happy to see he wasted 3.5 million on fake cards.
  13. Coasters, good food, and state parks is my kinda trip. Looks like a blast! I can't believe they canceled that game so last minute. Manta looks like a ton of fun, these newer Mack coasters have been such a breath of fresh air! San Fran is one of my favorite cities, there's something just so magnificent and memorable about the Golden Gate Bridge.
  14. When we visited in October we did the lantern tour and it's absolutely worth it, although, it ran long and ate into night time rides. Maybe it was because it was an incredibly busy day, but the staff was taking reservations for regular cave tours if there was an opening, I believe they just charged an extra buck or two. So you could stop by first thing in the morning and ask. Not sure how often they do reservations outside of the lantern tour.
  15. The food, drinks, and views from the rooftop bar are excellent. Great for photography and the night time lights on Volcano Bay are pretty stunning.
  16. I'm still going strong on no Rise of Resistance or Avatar spoilers!!! Just ....1 or 2 more months!! Leave me in the dark
  17. Thanks! Also, visiting Branson encouraged me to watch Ozark on Netflix. Jason Bateman is a legend.
  18. Just avoid POVs and detailed reviews and you should be fine. It's really helpful that metal detectors take away all cameras once you get close to the ride. Honestly, it'll take me probably 100 rides before I can make sense of what happens in the first half of the ride. VC is as good as it gets in my opinion.
  19. Here is my list. I think next year I need to do a complete overhaul of how I have things ranked, I just see them as tiers outside of Maverick and Velocicoaster. I've been on so many this is so tough to decide but it's a good problem haha. https://coasterpoll.com/u/zach-boothe5a58d32c77fae/rankings?shared Velocicoaster #1 Maverick #2 Outlaw Run, Millennium, Fury, Eejanaika, DoDoDonpa, Skyrush, Hakugei, Steel Vengeance, Time Traveler round out my favorites.
  20. They result in more ride time so I'm all for the back and forth. The miscalculation is the stupid comfort collars.
  21. VelociCoaster re-invented the top hat IMO.. that looked like just a standard element with a 'meh' on paper 150ft height, and yet it ended up being one of the best drops in the world with that sharp steep drop launching you to the moon. Same with that roll over the water - it looked awesome but the experience in person was just so unexpected. I cannot wait to try out Pantheon!
  22. I went to KC a week after my Carowinds trip, it's not fair to compare hahaha. Man those burnt ends at Scott's Kitchen and Catering at Hangar 29 were so gooddddd. Mac's is amazing, their onion rings were so good and they give you some little marble sized hush puppies. I'll let someone else chime in regarding downtown, I haven't explored downtown. If you're ever going through Spartanburg, SC on the way to Charlotte check out https://www.mycarolinabbq.com/ We stopped in the area on the 2018 TPR trip and I had just enough time to walk there. They had cheerwine BBQ sauce, authentic Carolina mustard sauce, and the pulled pork was to die for.
  23. Stellar photos, love all the different angles. I was so wow'd by it in person, I forgot to take photos of most of the ride
  24. Suffolk Punch was delicious for food and beer, but it's in a very bizarre and grimy area of Charlotte that I hadn't seen before. We were harassed by undesirables at stoplights multiple times on the way out of SP on the way to the airport, so your experience may vary. I love love love the local bbq chain Mac's Speed Shop about 10 minutes away from the park - so friendly every visit, an awesome happy hour, tons of local craft beer, and great bbq!
