Over or under 10 days before Gwazi gets closed for the current wasp situation at the top of the lift? Has anyone that's been on it recently and months ago comment on if this is a newer issue? Every ride people panicked at the top with all the wasps. One ride a few got pull down the drop with us but not cool.

The pretzels are hand made in front of you and delicious! Gwazi is incredible and so powerful. What a beast!

Thank you Lahey @tndank, yes was wondering about the 'coming soon' restaurant above Giraffe bar, since it's been coming for the past 12+ months. What gives BGT. It's astounding this park doesn't have a full service sit down restaurant (and the Garden Gate is the perfect space already built). Falcon's Fury will be down for my visit this weekend and that's a major bummer. My expectations for this visit are so low, I'm just hoping what's not listed on the closed list Friday is actually open. The pretzels at BGW were actually the biggest surprise of the trip and seemed to be close to the 'omfg amazing' level that people raved about at BGT, any pretzel reviews lately? Last year the spot by FF was just fine, but also better than anything else being served in the park. Has anyone been to the rooftop safari restaurant yet or is it even open?

I've heard good things about the Beast so far. Sounds like the biggest difference is the long covered straightaway section's trims have been reworked or redone and don't pull as hard. Then there's maybe a bunny hill added before entering the second tunnel/first helix and the ride really maintains speed from there, hurling around those 3 right turns and firing up the 2nd lift high before the chain catches you some say it's reminded them of the 80s. Sooo it could be overhype or just great news that it's running better than ever.

Last time I was at BGT folks in line were asking if the ride broke down between every cycle because every ride crew was that lazy. Both BGT & BGW have such incredible rides and park atmosphere yet the soul is dead and the newer attractions are an afterthought beyond the ride track. But hey they're still crazy fun new rides?!

Nice meeting you and the wife, @Zand! You really picked the best time to visit, those were some of the shortest lines and lightest crowds I've seen. Enjoy the rest of your visit!

I saw Velocicoaster posting 35 minute waits and Hagrid 55 minute waits this week, so if you're able to get here this week you're in for a great time!

No talk about Beast after this major off season work, did it not open with the park/is it not open yet?

Anyone else talking about the thicker tougher over the shoulder pads on i305? They're not like Maverick and even lil ol me at 5'9" thought they were rough on the shoulders vs the previous softer kind. Last visit was 2018 so I'm wondering when the change was made. It's still incredible but if you're 6ft or over I'd think the experience is really uncomfortable.

It looks nice standalone like at the original Americana or Coney Island Cincy but when it's against the rest of the modern park with Orion looming, a huge 300ft swing, and Stunt spewing fire across the midway it feels like a contrast. Vortex is gone and that removed a chunk of the ambiance as well with the classic Arrow lift chain, cerchunking trains. Oh but I did forget this is the park that does the pledge of allegiance before the gates open every day so take my personal preference with a grain of salt, haha. This fits perfectly. Nevermind.

Fun interesting updates to the Beast, but will it be finished before the quickly upcoming opening date? Tbh take as long as you need. Idk why but I'm not loving the old school paint scheme. Perhaps because so few besides the Bradeys see the Racer that way? I'd love to bring back backwards. Oh well, just keep it smooth. The Adventure Express refresh needs to be talked about more, honestly. What ever happened to the disastrous Camp Cedar? Has anyone stayed there or booked a reservation yet?

Those parks all charge gate admission and have passholder bases, Icon Park is free to park, free to walk around.

I love thrill rides outside of skyflyers and slingshots and the chain swing rides, so a massive drop tower sounded great to me but tbh I didn't realize there were no seatbelts. I have total faith in hydrolics/ratcheting restraints. Fun Time has a lot of things to address here. I really hope we are able to understand what the hell happened and why and can learn to never ever ever ever ever have a situation like this happen again. I am so sad for the family who was out for just good clean fun like the rest of us not even thinking something like this could ever happen.

You've been on this forum for some time I'm surprised you're pressing this question. Why? You're not comparing apples to apples. It's not even close.

I am appalled that Slingshot group / Icon were open and running the other attractions yesterday. I'll never set foot on their properties my lifetime.

The new paint on that Arrow looper looks amaaaaazing.

Stay at the new Hampton Inn across from the park. The first thing they told me when checking in is that they lock the doors at night. That was a bit of a surprise visiting for the first time and not knowing the area. They also have a shuttle and the driver is on call to pick you up to and from.

So far since living in Orlando my record low wait time for VelociCoaster during regular hours was last night 3/3 Thursday around 6pm. Posted wait 35, on and off in 25. My record low wait for Hagrid during normal hours was also last night. Posted wait 75 but only waited 40 minutes from about where you go indoors. The crews were I was very pleased with my visit last Sunday - 930am-330pm we did everything. Hagrid was only an hour, VC 45-50 minutes!
