  1. Psh...I'd take KI getting a hyper over getting a DM and those trips! Lol...I'm getting birthday money soon...call me dude! -J 'It's not even in my top 5...' Z
  2. Funny how the concept design for the splash down brakes were first used in the concept art for Hyper Coasters...
  3. The Zero-G! Could be my favorite element! Too bad this one was sooo quick! Hey lift hill guys! I just wish KI would get these... This is one of the best rides out there! Go ride it! And that's it folks! Maybe some other time I'll put up some Goliath pictures...but thanks for reading! -JZ
  4. 1. Mantis - Cedar Point 2. Georgia Scorcher - SFoG 3. Vortex - Carowinds 4. King Cobra - KI
  5. Nooo....GCI is pure good! Awesome shots!
  6. Ready for the missing adventures of the SFoG trip? Superman! And the super slow operations... Well, at least this is really comfy! Oh, wow...look at all that gum and spit! Yeah...this part is just awesome. It's like a sit down SLC! Try it instead of the inverted and you will be happy! More to come! I was there when it happened! Hey Tomi!
  7. Georgia Cyclone...what a woodie! I rode back car, front bench. Yeah, it will throw you around! It will also.....EJECT you numerous times! I absolutely LOVED the ride! One ride was not enough...
  8. I ride on a regular basis. I think it's pretty safe to say a non wheel seat is the smoothest part of the train. A front seat ride isn't bad at all.
  9. Saw it, didn't even think to stop through it. I want to ride Deja Vu! -JZ
  10. Check out these new photos... Deep in the woods... Electrical work Whole overview
  11. Kings Island Does It Again! Grandson of Karl Wallenda looks to surpass grandfather's famous 1974 park feat with two death-defying high wire walks as part of the biggest July 4 bash in Kings Island history Get ready for one of the most thrilling days of the summer, as Kings Island does it again with another history making event on the Fourth of July. Thirty-four years ago, in 1974, the late, great legendary high wire walker Karl Wallenda successfully completed a 1,800-foot skywalk at Kings Island, setting a world's distance record. On Independence Day, park visitors will have an opportunity to witness history as the grandson of Wallenda, Rick Wallenda, will try to surpass his grandfather's famous park feat with two death-defying skywalks at Kings Island. Wallenda will first attempt a spectacular skywalk 112-foot above ground on 5/8-inch cable that will start at the Eiffel Tower, go over the Royal Fountain (which, by the way, is longer than a football field) as it shoots 10,000 gallons of water into the air, and end at the flagpole outside the front gate, covering a total distance of more than 900 feet! The first walk is at 2pm. Later in the day at 7pm, Wallenda will look to make history as he attempts to walk an incredible distance of 2,000 feet through Coney Mall – the same location of his grandfather's feat at Kings Island – from 75-foot above ground on 5/8-inch cable. No safety nets or harnesses will be used by Wallenda on either of his skywalks – the only way a Wallenda will perform. Wallenda's record-breaking attempt comes on the heels of one of the most talked about events of the year, when daredevil "Kaptain" Robbie Knievel, son of the late Evel Knievel, successfully jumped over 24 Coke Zero trucks May 24 at Kings Island, the site of one of his father's most famous stunts. The Fourth of July at Kings Island will also include a spectacular air show, sky divers, special appearances by Hanna Barbera characters and the Clown Band, and the largest fireworks display in the 36-year history of the park. "With all the exciting events we have planned for the Fourth of July, Kings Island is a great place for families to celebrate the holiday," said Greg Scheid, Kings Island's vice president and general manager. You can read more about the Wallendas on their website http://www.wallenda.com
  12. Yeah, but look how long the trains are! Nine cars! Oh...and this?
  13. I thought we confirmed this to be a hyper.....
  14. Awesome, great to see the Australia section is up! Now I just need to get my Goliath (SFoG) pics up...
  15. I just passed #75 at SFoG and am now at 82!
  16. Over the pathways and through the woods, to the station we go! Don't forget about that massive helix! It's like this - a big pop of airtime, then thrown to the left! But in a good way. It's probably the closest thing you can get to experience what it's like to be inside a tornado. "Beavis, I have seen the top of the mountain. Huh-huh. And it is good. Huh-huhuh." Purple and Yellow < Greenish Blue and Orange This is that "over the highway" part! We don't need a bridge! Go visit Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia!
  17. Yeah, that's pretty much the airtime on Goliath! Just every hill, floating in your seat for 3-4 seconds! Except for that last airtime hill before the brakes. Wow!
  18. Yeah, I know, I know, I know! I remember seeing it once in the day when we just got there, and I asked everyone else if they wanted to ride it...and I was out voted for Superman. Lame, I know. Well, when I go back I'll make sure to ride it!
  19. SoB - Well, last night I had an interesting ride. It was right before close in the front seat. It felt like it was rougher at the bottom of the drop and in the first helix. BUT! The MCBR was completely off! Usually it slows you down to about 15-20mph...we just FLEW through there! And there was actually airtime! I was shocked. I doubt I'll have this ride for a long time, but it was actually good! I like a front seat ride on SoB...just the hight and sheer speed of the ride is really fun. Beast - I haven't had a back seat ride in soooo long. Why? I got completely beaten up by it last time. I mean, I had trouble breathing! Yeah, it's a fun ride....at NIGHT. But any way I look at it it's just brakes, straight away, turn...repeat. Blah. Go ride Kentucky Rumbler!
  20. It's a Nikon D40. I use a 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens. It's awesome! And the battery lasts for ages! I should add a few more photos soon. I took so many! You should see a nice Kings Island Photo TR soon
  21. Time for a little Goliath break. How about some green? Station with the foreground. Greener than the Hulk. Aw what the heck.....got ya from behind
  22. Why do I hold my hands up? Because I don't like holding onto the restrain to the bar in front of me. So then you're not keeping yourself in the seat, you're letting yourself be free and let the coaster do everything. I only hold on during SoB!
  23. Oops! Almost forgot about my signature sunburst shot Don't know why they were cycling some trains empty! Here's something to keep your appetite wet..
  24. Well, our camcorder broke last vacation..and we had to really break it to get the remaining tape of my nanny and poppy's 50th anniversary out of it! So this was the first vacation with out video footage. Well, I think I made up for it! Oh, and while we're on the Mind Bender disc; I would have done Goliath...it's got like, no theme...and you can see it from the highway! It goes all over inside and outside the park! Not Mind Bender...it's tucked away in the trees! Onto the photos! Thanks so much for the comments, guys! Goliath really stands out. It starts out in the middle of the park... And head into the trees. Then go wayyy up and wayyy down over the pretty lake... It's B&M wrapped around B&M goodness. It's so much better than it looks....so yeah, it's pretty damn good! I don't know about these guys... But I just love putting my hands up! If you're happy and you know it raise your hands! Orr...pop your collar? That guy is so comfortable, he's stretching out for a nap. Or, he's all like...OMFG, THIS IS AWESOME! Weee loooooveeeee Goliatthhhh ....STILL more to come? Keep checking back! -JZ
  25. The adventure continues! So, it's 100* out....let's cool off! Here we go...everyone act like you're a bear! We haven't even gotten wet so far...this better get us wet! What?! We didn't even get wet! This is pointless! And the signature move is stolen! Ah, now let's head over towards this 'Goliath' thing I've been hearing so much about.. Hm, here it is! Let's see what this is all about... Yeah baby! Here we go! And up that lift hill. There ya go lift hill enthusiasts! I think I did the 'Big Mike' face on this drop. Holy crap, awesomeness. Hold on any way you can! Or...don't! It's a looooonnngg way down! Anyone see German Tom in the 4th row? And looks like someone couldn't hold their hands up! Speed down, then shoot right back up to airtime heaven! Everyone has their own 'airtime face' Did I mention SFoG is a beautiful park? Yeah, that helix will plaster you into your seat. Forecast calls for more airtime hills. How many more? I think like...5 or 6. You ready for them? I think this calls for a 'through the trees' shot. Well, this isn't Cedar Fair, so it's possible! Heck, let's go OVER the trees! A quick interruption for this overbank. OMG...there's more?! Yeah, soon enough... -JZ
