Well, SoB broke down for about 20 minutes. And this big group of black dude came out of the line, saying how dumb it was that it broke down and stuff like that. As they were hopping last the queues to get out of line.... SoB started back up and we were informed it was working. OFCOURSE...they group stopped, turned back around.."Oh yeaahhhh, we goin' to get out spot back!" They exclaimed, and started jumping the queues, and from what I heard....going allllllll the way up into the station, where there was already security. I have to give credit to Guy and especially Erik for taking charge about the line jumpers. Usually no one says much and just holds it inside...good job guys! Oh, and Colin....you're awesome! -Zach

All this theming in the line is so cool! It's like...going through the zoo and eventually getting to ride a B&M Flyer! BUT! Will the aquariums be too distracting and hold up the line? ie...people will be watching the rays, not the line. I don't think it will be a big deal, but just something that popped into my head.

Here's the May 2nd batch! I know, I got creative again. It's so pretty though! Upon release... Entertaining myself in line for SoB. NO BREADSTICKS FOR YOU D: Why?! Whyyy am I riding this a second time? Oh, for JZ ofcourse Chuck putting on his pouty face as we approach SoB. Is this forshadowing? I wanna go back to the Intamin!!! Pretty much the only ride we didn't do... lolwut Next up was Adventure Express! With the monotone ride op. "Fantastic." Fort Kinzel melts brains! There's no place to hide here! They've taken my brain! Chuck entertaining in the line with his amusing stories of Hummel Boy. "There's no Haunt theming here...I have no idea where I am! Well, surely not Kings Dominion!" Hey Chuck...you know where we are? The group...minus James...chillin' in the midway. Exiting the batwing... Sideloop! I spy little red riding hood! Looooop After Italian Hand Job, we headed over to Vortex. Yup, airtime into the splashdown! Failed attempt at a photo #1. That's right, guys! Get ready to hold your stomach and wave your hands in the air....you're on the Beast! So pretty Finally got a decent shot of Beast's new area. Such a pretty day on Saturday. Gotta stop for some photos! Walking underneath Diamondback... Junior Hang 'n Bang is where the real excitement is at! Some CRAZY foot choppers on this ride. Erik, Chuck, and Andrew glowing after their morning rides. Great group! Waiting for the dispatch Erik and Andrew are ready for their Row 2 adventures on Diamondback Nerds will be happy they can walk underneath the bottom of the lift. Guy's sooooo happy he has all his credits in! James is happy he's too sick to make it to classes! (coughcough)

Umm...I can give the "Every Coaster Enthusiast who has ridden liked it a little..." A resounding no. -Shuffling down the station drop out.. -Holding ears as the bleed due to the loud lift -Nervously anticipating the pain at the top of the first hill -Rose bowl hell. -MCBR -Nothingness between the next rose bowl of hell -Gut busting brakes That's the just 4/5 times on SOB. One time I had a really smooth ride after it re-opened. It was still my least favorite woodie, as James said...it's a crap layout and ride. I only once got airtime on SoB when the MCBR was turned off. That was fun for like, a few seconds. But hey...everyone has their own favorites! I'm hoping it's not too lonely over there at the "SoB's my fav" lunch table. ANYWAYS....pictures will be up soon from Saturday! -Zach

Hmm...seems the energy/happyness fades between ride one and ride two! Haha, naww..I like Invertigo...aside from a bit of head banging, it's a forcefull ride. Glad to hear you liked Drop Tower that much! Before Diamondback....that's all I had for airtime! Can't wait to see how HW went. -JZ

So, this weekend was awesome. With the addition of Diamondback, I knew TPR members would be stopping by KI...and this is pretty much all of what I was hoping for! Hang out with some fellow coaster/donkey lovers and ride some roller coasters! May 1st I was up with my buddy Mike, and James (jamesdillaman) called me up and told me he was there with Guy! (Who I knew was going to be there the next day) So here's the jist of my adventures on May 1st. May 2nd coming soon! Last photo! Thanks Guy for an awesome night at KI! If you can get the right seat on a Vekoma Flyer...there's an awesome part at the top of the loop where you will fall into your restraint. I think that's so much fun!

Mike! Awesome report, this new GCI looks like a really really good one. Not many of them are hidden back in the woods like that. It kind of does look like a mini Voyage. Mason Only Night was awesome, haha. I think our group got about 7-9 rides in on DB. I'm more than sure we'll run into each other sometime this season, if not tomorrow. I'll be there from 3:30ish to...whenever! Probably 10. Not sure though. I'll have a yellow and blue Madagascar Penguins shirt on, and hang around Diamondback. Haha. See ya later? -Zach

Dude, nothing about the Beast has changed since they put the trims on. Besides new wood on the coaster. It may feel less noticable at night, if that's what you're saying...but it's the same ride.

There's no way that's the final package splash The Wild Thornberry's splash is bigger than that little puddle stomp through! Drop looks insane though. Along with the ride up. -JZ

Not on the tops, but on the bottoms...just a bit. Nothing bad. But it worries me. New? The ops on DB are the best in the park, supposedly. Well, I've seen a lot of times where the crew had to stop and recheck hights, larger people in the seats, and time to take bags to the boxes. I haven't sat in the station for more than a minute or two, tops. Stacking or not, they keep the trains moving. While working the other day, it seemed they move a train out of the station every 45-60 seconds. Because the timer at 3 Point Challenge is 40 seconds...and about spare 10-20 between games..seemed everytime I said "GO" ...there was a train on the lift going over the drop! And that was consistant all afternoon. Just my speculation.. -Zach

I like to think of the money saved. If I save 5-10 dollars here, I can spend a little extra there. If I'm being charged extra for my ticket that day...I see it as now I have to maybe skip a Dippin' Dots or something to equal out the cost to the total I actually wanted to spend. Or maybe I'm just OCD like that... I've never really been put in the situation to buy a ticket, now that I think about it. Always had a pass, been going with a special ticket, or given tickets.
