Internet Friends - Knife Party I think it's safe to say that Knife Party and The Glitch Mob are the two perfect electronic artists for my taste. Intense while still staying fun, having a wide variety of styles in their music, and they're both willing to put up plenty of songs on their websites for free!

Might as well revive this thread with some good news. Remember my long-distance girlfriend? Well, things have been working out incredibly well, even though she had to move to Michigan for college. We're closer than ever now, and to make things even better... She's coming to visit in two days. She'll be staying at my house for three nights, plenty long enough to make up for not seeing each other for a year and a half. And I found out the other day that after she leaves to see her family in So-Cal, she'll be back a week later with her sister's family for two days! So, yeah, love is good for me right now.

I never thought my knowledge of roller coasters could help me in any way... But here I am, struggling to understand induction motors for my physics paper on Nikola Tesla, and suddenly, I remember LIMs, realize how they work, think of it in a circle instead of a straight line, and boom! Eureka! -
I bought Super Meat Boy on Xbox Live for $5. And that's it. My family isn't big on Black Friday (my dad actually kind of boycotts it, he doesn't like how materialist it is).

I'm so confused right now... See, I've been doing a driver's education course online for the last year (I'm absolutely horrible with procrastination, so I've been putting it off for MONTHS), and I decided to power through another section tonight, after failing the test for section 4 of 7 a couple of months ago. I skimmed the section again, took the section test again.... And it told me I'm done, and that my certificate for completing driver's ed will be sent through the mail as soon as possible. Wait, what? I thought I still had three more sections to do! Ah well, I'm not complaining, if it means I can get my permit sooner. -

I have a sinking feeling that I'm building my Skyrim character to be a complete disaster. He's an Altmer (High Elf) that I guess could be categorized as a battle mage, but he's really doing everything. Archery, destruction magic, restoration magic, single-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, alchemy, smithing, enchanting, blocking... Pretty much everything but sneaking and black magic-style stuff, my little Altmer does. Seeing as this is my first Elder Scrolls game, I have absolutely no idea what the hell I'm doing. Am I doomed? Should I try to narrow my specialization a bit? Or should I not worry about keeping it broad?

Picked up a pair of SkullCandy 50/50's today to replace my pair of broken TiTANS, since I can't stand the normal Apple earbuds I keep as a backup pair anymore. I'm very happy so far. Bass is OMG INCREDIBLE, they're super comfortable and stay in my ears better than any other earbuds I've ever used, and I LOVE having in-line controls again. My only complaint is that, when I called my girlfriend on the Skype iPod Touch app, she said she heard a rake-like, scratchy static noise, which stopped when I muted the mic input. I'm confused as to what's up, since there's no static like that whatsoever when I use the voice memo tool... Oh well. I'm still very happy with my purchase. -

It's my pleasure to be the first to tell all of you that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is absolutely glorious. Seriously, based on the first four or so hours, it's among the best games I've ever played. It looks beautiful, has some of the best music in gaming, has varied combat/magic/stealth options, and most of all, it's just plain fun. I highly recommend picking this up if you're into RPGs.

Oh, jeez. I just received this text from my girlfriend: The last time I got this message from her, she told me that she was sexually assaulted 2,000 miles away from home. #%@$, I'm scared about what it'll be this time...

Game: When was the last time you...

Huh, never expected to see the thread I created four years ago come up again. So, since the last poster didn't really ask me a question, I'll just do one. When was the last time you bought an actual CD, as opposed to downloading the music? -

Okay, now I remember why I'm so terrified to try Civilization IV, despite buying it almost a year ago. I found a beginner's guide that is more than 14,000 words long. It's pretty much the BASICS that everybody that plays the game should know. I'm just... What... Where the hell do I even begin? -
...Interesting. German folk metal. I like it.

The Official iPhone Discussion thread

Let's see.. I'm due for a phone upgrade on AT&T, since I've had my decent Pantech Matrix for going on three years now. My iPod Touch (2nd gen, 8 gigabyte, two years old) is a piece of outdated crap that Apple basically abandoned a year ago, and I'm running out of space on it quick. I might as well cut my losses and grab a 16 GB iPhone 4 sometime. The only thing stopping me is the data plan.. Those things are just too damn expensive for a sixteen-year-old. Also, there's the fear that buying the last generation of iPhone is idiotic, since it will surely be outdated within a year or so.. -
I woke up at 8:15 today. My first class starts at 7:45. Oops.

I really shouldn't be this excited right now. I bought a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition graphing calculator today, an upgrade from the very very basic TI-30XA that I've been using since middle school. And for some reason, I'm really excited to start using it in my physics class, and get used to how advanced it is. But then I realize that I'm freaking out over a calculator. But still, it's REALLY cool, and it's always fun to get a new gadget. Also: Hey, whaddya know, 2222 posts. Neato. -

I should have gone to bed two or three hours ago, since I have my US History final tomorrow... Ah well. I got to Skype with my girlfriend for a good few hours, so I'm happy. -

7-Up was the last soda I drank. Not my favorite (that goes to Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, or Cherry Coke), but still tasty.

This close. My girlfriend in Michigan was THIS close to being raped today. I really don't know how I feel.. I'm shocked, horrified, confused, absolutely pissed, afraid, and most of all, thankful that it didn't go all the way, and that she is alright. It all hasn't set in yet, it feels like this isn't real.. But it is.
