  1. Nice trip report Divv! Looking forward to the next part
  2. I have iPad! I find it usefull around the house and for day trips. Any longer trips I usually take my MacBook Pro instead. I was abit unsure how I would use it when I brought it, but with all the HD apps on it now its awesome
  3. Just got home after a long drive, Alton Towers was great today and it was good meeting up with everyone again! All rides were working and running to full capacity. Lines were walkon to no more than 15min with the exception of Th13teen (1 hour) and Rita (30 minutes) in the morning. I liked Th13teen as its very unique with great theming, when I first rode it I didn't notice the drop as much as I did riding a 2nd time in the front.
  4. Great TR Divv! Adventure Island is only across the river from me. I went there August last year for the first time and had a great time, no queues even on a peak school holiday day, it was open until 10:30pm then! The park had great operations compared to other smaller parks I've been to.
  5. 1. What are your initial thoughts? I agree with everything the premium membership includes but I voted no because I see it as some sort of fastrack system to have better chance of getting on the trips when in the past priority had been given to members who had done TPR trips before. I think everyone should have a equal chance to get on the trips if they premium member or not. 2. Can you think of anything else we could be offering? 3. Is this something that interests you? Not really, but if your doing a TPR trip next year you kinda have no choice but to become premium member as the majorly of participants on the trips will already be premium members so you have no choice but to keep up with the crowd! Its kinda similar to having no choice but to buy Fastrack when you visit a very busy park. 4. Why would you NOT be interested in this? As its like separating all the members into 2 groups and the ones who don't pay up and become premium members might feel guilty for not subscribing later on. 5. Any additional feedback you can give us based on the information you see here. Whatever happens I fine with it, TPR rules! However when I next do a TPR trip I will feel that I'm forced to become a premium member as I may miss out on things or even the trip! In the end premium membership will feel mandatory for trip participants.
  6. Wow nice photos Hanno! Bon Bon Land looks like a great but strange looking park lol
  7. Wow awesome updates, why am I stuck at home? lol I so wish I could of done this trip as I met most of you on the Europe trip last year, miss you all! Hope you all have a great time on the rest of the trip!
  8. Stealth opened on a Wednesday and the park was very empty however Saw is due to open on Saturday 14th and due to it being a Saturday it might get busy. I'm going Monday 16th to avoid that
  9. If I owned Thorpe Park Repaint Colossus for a start. Build new purpose built queue lines just for single riders on all major rides other then Stealth. Dismantle X:\ and get rid of Neptunes Kingdom and build a B&M flyer or a hyper to reach over both locations. Maybe a flat or a kiddle coaster if it would fit. Build a indoor waterpark across the lake from Stealth. Build a GCI woodie where Treasure Island was. Try and make all rides open with no breakdowns whatsoever, employ more maintainice staff if need be Run two trains on major coasters if queue reaches 15min or over like Alton does. Get rid of Burger King and bring in McDonald's!
  10. Mine has to be Hades with the car park or EGF
  11. The area above the lake is one of the smoothest parts of the ride what are they going to do to the rest of it? I've always assumed it was the trains at fault, especially the outer seats
  12. Glad you made it to Japan other side of the world to me. I thought it was later on in September! Maybe ill go on the next full trip there always wanted to visit Ill look forward to the updates I'm still recovering from the midwest trip lol
  13. Thanks mate, Holiday World was awesome and The Voyage is soo mental in the dark its great, We were all at the park for 12 hours today!
  14. Oh man that busy on a Thursday. I went to Thorpe by mistake last July and I couldn't believe the queues, now with single rider gone from most of the rides ill be staying away until at least mid-september!
  15. I don't mind if its a type of ride/coaster/layout I never been on, but nothing over a hours wait. The more I seem to go the same ride the more impatient I am of the lines
  16. I'm tripling my coaster count this year but heres my top 10 as of now 1. Kraken 2. Montu 3. Sheikra 4. Hulk 5. Kumba 6. Nemesis 7. Stealth 8. Dueling Dragons 9. Expedition Everest 10. Rita
  17. Best time to go any UK theme park is March, Late April, May and Early October weekdays when schools are in. September most schools will be back by the 10th but you get all the uni people that don't go back until October so expect a bit of a queue, June and July you tend to get alot of schools going to the parks on trips and it can be as busy as a weekend and of course August it will be packed for the whole month. The least busiest time I ever to Thorpe was on the 17th October 2006 during the Fright Nights, It was so dead that Stealth didn't even have enough people to fill the trains. Avoid bank holidays, school holidays and weekends, should you have to go on a weekend Sunday is best. Tuesday and Wednesday are the best days I find. I went to Thorpe 13 times last year and only 1 or 2 times all the rides were open, I tend to head to Stealth first which is never open on time in hope that it opens in the next 10 minutes which it usually does after a few test runs and get the front row on the first train
  18. I've rid many coasters many times on the same day but the two that stand out the most for me are Stealth 32 times on a quiet weekday Nemesis Inferno 14 times using SRQ
  19. Mine would have to be Rush at Thorpe Park, I've yet to compare it to Sky Hawk.
  20. 2007 is a busy year for me as far as coasters are concerned Going to Orlando in Feb so hoping to visit Universal Studios, IOA, BGT, Seaworld and some of the Disney parks over 2 weeks. Really looking forward to the mid-west trip in August and going to Cedar Point! Also will be going to most of the UK parks on my own little trips throughout the year
  21. Nice TR man, awesome pics, looking forward even more to going next year!
  22. Thanks for the reply Robb, so in other words its the same park but in the evening on one day and then morning the next. I really appreiate you offering these trips. I was going to organize my own trip to the states next year but I doubt it will go ahead now as all my friends are skint so if its not too late is it ok to put a disposit down if its done today? Thanks Nath
  23. I've always wanted to go to the USA and visit parks there for years now so I've been quite interested in this Mid-West trip since it was anounced are there many uk ppl going? Just a small question, how busy are the parks expected to be in early August from experience? Do the schools have different holidays to us in the UK?
