  1. If my memory serves me correctly, this isn't Premier that's doing this. It's Busch/Seaworld that insisted on them for Tempesto and carried the trend into their other installments at other parks. What I don't understand though is why they're adding them to a non inverting coaster since that was the logic with Tempesto.
  2. Oh, a night ride on the beast would of been a wonderful experience and a great way to end the season. They did eventually open Wicked Twister for a few hours and we got to ride that as well. We made the most out of it though, got to do a lot of flats we normally skip. Fortunately we got to do a good bit Saturday night which made up for the almost non existent coaster line up today. I was honestly surprised since almost all of the coasters were fully staffed the entire time, but even the ride ops said even though things could change. It’s likely a wash for the day for any of the major coasters. They worked early on in the day getting Maverick open, but after 20 minute of testing had to close again due to wind. After a very cold, windy and at times snowy day. Still had fun and I definitely understand why the park really can’t do a winter or holiday event. Hopefully they lax up a bit on the restrictions for the rides/coasters that don’t have wind/temp issues.
  3. I can confirm, Corkscrew is the only coaster open with a nice 2 hour wait with one train operation for those that are worried their missing out on this epic last day of the year. The wind restrictions here are nuts, I expected a few rides, not all of them to close, haha.
  4. Thanks for sharing these pictures, this was from my first year I ever went to BGW and brings back some really cool early memories from my childhood. The park felt like an entire different world back then from what I remember.
  5. This makes me think of that Chinpokomon episode of South Park, considering it's written in engrish. Glad to see you all had a good time at Fuji Q. I think this is the first, or one of the first times I've seen the park sunny.
  6. Way to make my I305 style coaster look like poop. Seriously though, that's an amazing coaster. I've seen some half decent interpretations of what I'm trying to do at NE. That's hand's down the best I've seen though. I'm still tweaking the layout on mine, but I highly doubt I'll ever pull something like that off. But thanks for sharing that. One of the most interesting screens I've seen in awhile. EDIT: I added an updated image of the new layout. I think I understand a bit better now what you saying. This one seems less cluttered. I wouldn't say it's final yet. But it's better. Or at least I think it is.
  7. I think what I love most about this park is that it doesn't stray from the 'parks general' Cedar Fair theme. In my opinion, it's one of- if not the9 best Cedar Fair parks executed I've seen. Keep it up! MOD EDIT: Watch your spelling and grammar, Please!- R.D. Games Forum Moderating Team
  8. The cobra roll is being removed. This was sorta what I was afraid of when posting the screen. Everyone would see all the unfinished things then think, what the hell was that kid thinking when he did that. But I also felt like I needed to show the ride because I was considering taking it out if it did seem that out of place. The pacing on the ride works very well. I made the turns both wider and smaller when building. The ride runs, and looks the best this way. Besides the cobra roll. This was the best final outcome I could come up with after many different designs. The few things that need finished is the removal of the inversion, see if I can get the thing shoestringed together so I can run my block stations. If not, oh well. The original idea for the coaster was a twist. Which I feel with this type of coaster, and the OTSR's, would of been a cool idea. But somehow I threw in a random cobra roll, and it turned into a dumb idea fast. While I could knock it down, and do something different. It's a design I put a lot of time into making, and planning. Not only that. I REALLY wanna get a park finished for once, and revising every small thing is what throws me back, and in the end never gets done. This park I started a year ago, and kept it pretty secret. While the secrecy is gone. I'm ready to end this one, and start a new, better thought out park. While I'm proud of this park. I'm defiantly getting tired of it. Good news is that I finished up about half the map entirely today. So only the other half is left, and a finishing the hotel. Everyone just wait for some screenshots on just how much revisions, and time I put into this project. Your going to think I'm partially insane on how many structures, and the size of them, I've demolished for stupid little reasons. But I'm saving all that fun for the final release. EDIT: Here's an updated photo of what I just did five mins ago to the layout. Where it dips down I was thinking about making it a twist. But I'm just going to stick with a no inversion giga.
  9. ^It's going along with the I305 theme of a giga. If you've seen I305, it uses the exact same support styling. I am attempting to hack a impulse track to the bottom of the catwalk to accomplish that style even more accurately. But it's still a work in progress. Only the lift, and first turn are supported at the moment. I wouldn't have posted that image in a million years normally. It was the only way for me to show it's actual sizing.
  10. Here's a close-up of the giga coaster. Since someone will most likely say something if I don't put this. This screen is VERY unfinished, please just judge the scale of the coaster, and nothing else.
  11. Seems very nice so far Matt. I didn't even think it was you till I looked at your name. So weird seeing you away from RCT2. Maybe some day I'll show one of my RCT3 parks. But don't hold your breath. The only thing I would suggest, as mentioned before. Just go with one car on the spinner. Unless your extremely attached to it, do what your want. That's just my advice. But I'm liking the flow of the park so far. I'm excited to see where you go with this one.
  12. I'm a bit iffy on the coaster myself. But I don't think it looks all that bad in game. But at the moment it's the "barest" coaster there. So that might be throwing it off as well. The in game dimensions aren't crazy high. Say maybe 198ft I believe. But if I were to knock it out. I'd have just about enough room for an entire new section. I've gone thru about 3 gigas fully finished with this park....lol. So I'm debating if I really wanna delete it. This park is starting to wear on me, and I'm finally just about finished with it after I fill in the last gaps. I have one question though. Do you think taking out the two waterslides from the hotel would be a good idea? That's the front of the park, with the entrance actually under the hotel overhang. I wanted to turn it into a "mainstreet" vibe, and I also was thinking about putting a log flume where the slides currently are. The water park inside has quite a bit of slides that are finished with supports. I've already chopped one slide out of the current ones outside, and haven't bothered to theme them. Any opinions on them?
  13. For those who remember a few screens back. Here's an updated overview.
  14. Trying out some new building styles, with a crash course in hacking. The screen is still unfinished. Figured I'd show some more progress on my park though.
  15. Thanks everyone, and the rocks I'm considering on changing. There just a new style of rocks I'm trying out. Frankly I don't even NEED rocks where there at. But what the heck. There are about eight domes periodically in the area, and the dome does flow with the area if you were playing "in-game" if you get what I'm saying. As far as the peeps go, maybe in the future. But I haven't built a peepable park in probably 5 years. So don't hold your breath. With this park I made it impossible by using a clash between scenery pieces, and paths. While half the park still uses paths, that whole area your seeing there does not. It makes it a lot less of a hassle to build on top of paths, and keeps it glitch free. I've been working on the park with my day off here. So expect more updates, in areas that haven't been shown yet. I'm just finishing up this one coaster that I've been working on before I even put the first scenery piece on the section I've shown. So it's been a huge work in progress, and is coming out nicely. For those who remember my last park that I abandoned. You'll see my clear motivation, and advancements in building style to the same coaster in a sense. You'll just have to wait and see. Maybe I'll include some pictures of the indoor water park before I closed it in. So keep a look out for a topic possibly later tonight.
  16. This section is almost finished finally. I'm planning on starting a thread sometime this week if I have the time. Going to get a few more areas finished before I do though.
  17. I'll admit, the last year or two Sidewinder was getting worse. But after riding several boomerangs, sidewinder was the least painful. I've ridden a lot of coasters that I consider a lot more "painful" then sidewinder. Honestly, Mystery Mine at dollywood was a lot worse for example (Not saying it's a bad coaster). It's a shame that you avoided riding it. Since there was some talk about it getting removed a year ago, and it's definitely not an intolerable ride like it's reputation.
  18. Man those trains look amazing. Hopefully I can make it up to Hershey in a few weeks. Very eager to test out one of the new vekoma trains. Considering I always thought that Sidewinder was one of the smoothest boomerangs out there. I can only imagine how awesome it is now.
  19. I still stick with the employees being bad, is unacceptable. I have a below average job, and I'm expected, just like everyone else to behave in a fast, respective manor. I work with a few ex-cons, and people that you would think wouldn't be good employees. But you know what, everyone HAS to do what's expected of them. The area is no different. It really isn't. I'm sure the park is filled with people like I listed just the same. ALL those employees should either realize they need to be good employees, or there out of a job. I tried getting a job at a local ski resort at a job fair. Thousands, and thousands of people showed up just about. Of course I didn't stand a chance. But that resort is in the middle of nowhere, and the closest city doesn't have the greatest population standards either. But everyone is EXPECTED to be good employees, and good with customers. So telling me it's the area, I'm just not buying it. Bad employees nowadays is not acceptable. Working in the real world, and trying to get a job in it has made me come to the harsh reality on just how much people should appreciate their jobs, no matter what it is. Don't get me wrong though. I want to see the park succeed. That's why I voice my concerns, and I'm thinking about going again this year to see the improvements, because it really does excite me to see the park turning around. Who knows, maybe the issues we're talking about are already in the works to be fixed. I'm not even talking about the current employees entirely. I'm talking about what they used to be like, and from what I've experienced. But my point about nowadays bad employees isn't a valid excuse stands. No matter what the job.
  20. Those comments in that news article are honestly awful. Hershey has always been reasonable for the price of a amusement park. Yet, no one complains about the nearby ski resorts that charge you 5 dollars for a pp&J, and 600 dollars a season pass, and the other ridiculous priced attractions in the Hershey/Harrisburg area. Having lived in the area for 6 years, Hershey is probably the most reasonable out of everything. Also, the Harrisburg area, and Hershey area has a lot of "High End" homes. The area alone is EXPENSIVE to live in due to it's location. Move to a more "rural" area, rather than the center of hershey/harrisburg area if you have a problem. Without the Hershey brand/Park, the city would not be where it's at today. They do a lot for charity, and I think it's quite disgusting people have the nerve to trash a park for the reasons they listed. /endrant Anyways, I find myself more lost, and lost with these HP riddles. Did anyone find anything about the mysterious code yet?
  21. Pretty much what I was saying. It's a GOOD thing their fixing things up. But bad employees in today's economy is management's fault somewhere down the line. There's not much of a reason to get some half decent employees, and I have a feeling a lot of the people being hired are friends of someone else sorta deal. Rather than GOOD employees. Like I was saying, I know people that would kill just to have a job nowadays.
  22. The comet's track length is 3360', I'm sure everyone else can do the math.
  23. That by no means is the worst I've seen SFA, then again I haven't been there in probably five years. At least it looks like they were "trying" to pace through the train. Really though, from my experience at least. At least they weren't rude like just about everyone I've dealt with from that park. It's really a shame too. I used to go every year, and love that place. It USED to be a great park, that I enjoyed. Just seeing the pictures of those waterslides brings back memories. One things for sure, if the park cleans up a bit, I'd go back in a heartbeat with, or without a new ride or coaster. Can't say I disagree about fixing up the water slides though. It's actually a good thing the parks taking into consideration cleaning things up. Either take them down, or fix them. Letting them sit was just the lazy way of not dealing with it. Pretty much if they could add some atmosphere to the back of the park by superman, perhaps even loop it around back to roar. Keep things in good shape. They'd get A LOT of good business from the DC area. They have a pretty good location as far as population goes. If that means stepping up security, and being extremely strict. So be it, but it's either close the park down, or do some of the simple steps to fix it. In today's economy, there should NOT be a struggle to get some half decent employee's. A lot of people I know would kill to have a minimum wage, reliable job. So that leads to it being ALL of managements fault. There's my two cents.
  24. ^What do you mean it sent back the same number? I sent it with the number, and just got the auto-reply.
  25. What do you mean encrypted with the 12 digit key? I've sent it with the key, but haven't encrypted anything yet. I noticed the date last night also, and that it equaled 12. Didn't send any email, actually didn't realize it was meant to be sent in email form till ten minutes ago. But I have been trying search entries, and rideinstitute.com/code seeing if that gets me anywhere.
