Epic Adventures - RCT2
BRTeller replied to BRTeller's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Well the winning name has been chosen, and the winner will receive a screen shortly of the future. Welcome to a dozen crazy years at Epic Adventures. The park is proud to announce a whole new experience of coaster! Old Faithful has closed up, and been sealed up forever! Now theres something lurking in that empty hole in the ground. A bird, or beast you could say lurks inside. Can you handle the pure power of a beast that brought to rest Old Faithful? Can you handle the Bird of Prey! You must be at least 54" to ride "Bird of Prey" -

Ok, thanks I'll post it there next time. Just most sites normally put stuff like this in the Dump Place/Thread, it was just an honest mistake. Thanks for showing me that other topic, I'll keep that in mind next time. -

Umm, not to sound rude or anything. But why are all the names in Spanish? This coaster has nothing to do with the Spanish area, it's also no where near it. If I think of a name, I may just release it. But I haven't thought of any I liked so far. -

Thanks guys, it really means a lot. I wouldn't have gotten this far without all these awesome comments. I really do appreciate it. Do you guys remember that Flyer I showed you all not to long ago? Thats what took over Old faithful. The park wants me to give you all the opportunity to name it for yourselves! So think of your best names, and I'll send them into the park. Remember, this isn't Old America anymore, its all Old Country. So think western, or nature. Maybe you all could think of something that goes along with Old Faithful. No matter what the name is, we'd love to hear them! I have the update ready for the flyer, but none of you can see it till it has a name! So start submitting! Who knows, maybe your name will be in the next update. You will find out if you won if your name is in the next update. If your name is chosen. I will send you a image of a new attraction at Epic Adventures that hasn't been announced. -Brandon -

Thanks everyone, but Old Faithful was not replaced with Diablo. Diablo didn't replace any rides, and was built on a empty piece of land over by Mad House Hotel. But I assure you. Something great will be replacing Old Faithful. Oh, and from the construction status, it seems there redoing the whole Old America, and combing it with Old Country. So this should be exciting! But I don't think any of you understand that this is just the beginning. But you'll just have to wait and see! Whats coming in the near future will astonish all of you, and that's not the half of it! -Brandon -

Wow, updates, and more updates have arrived! It's finally year 11 for the park, and it has been sold. But in a surprisingly turn due to a contract break. The original owners of Adventure Park, also known as River Corp., who also own River's Amusement Park has taken back over. They got the park very cheap, only a little more then originally sold. I haven't gotten any exact numbers, but if I do I'll see if I can get them for you all. Oh and since River Corp originally had me covering the latest on this park. I'll still be the one to bring you all the updates and exclusive tickets to the park. The name is still undecided on what the park will be called. But I was told it may be changed back to Adventure Park. For now it will be called Epic Adventures. Now onto some sad news. Epic Adventures is taking out there first attractions to make way for the new. It's time to say bye to Old Faithful, and Old Country Road trip. I do have some deconstruction fans for all of you. Wonder what will take its place. As you can see a lot of the track is already gone. All of it is about gone. But enough of the old, its time for a little new! Prepare yourself, as you meet up with the Mexican devil. Diablo! Nothing can prepare you for what this monster will do to the Mexican village, as it takes you with it! Along with Diablo, Epic Adventures has added a new restaurant. As the new owners are trying to approach more entertainment, with possibly a shopping/night club complex coming to the park. Rumors are that it will be outside of the park. This new restaurant can also double as a night club for special events. So only time can tell how far this will go. But I meant what I said, it's far from over, its just begun! -Brandon -
I really like hunter, but from my point of view. Your supporting needs work, you know very well I base peoples work on there skill level. In my honest opinion it needs worked on. But hunters supports are the only ones I think are perfect, so well done. But you know I hate it when you don't use flanges, or at least I think there called that. Just remember all the advice I give is for helping you. So please don't take it the wrong way.

In most cases I would agree with you Daniel, about the land and water. But in this case it fits the theme very well. So excellent job in my opinion. -
Time for the last coaster trip for the season, Cedar Point. Cedar Point never fails, such a great park, and great selection of rides. We had so much fun this year, the haunted houses and trails were all great. Ride operations were good as well. Pirate Island wasn't the best, but still was very good, and who couldn't love walking on to Millenniums Island. The best walk through one in our opinions was Fear Fest. We didn't do any of the indoor houses since all the lines for em were a good 1-3 hours. Of course the best rides as usual were Maverick, Dragster, and MF. Maverick seemed to be better this year then last, which rocks! The back seat gave major ejector air, and we got about 3 rides in the back row. Another coaster running well in our opinions this year was good old Milly. Had some great air, and floater air. But seemed to have a bit more this year, and it was even better that on sunday no rides had any waits. Dragster was the same old thing, but still my favorite of the two Stratas. Unfortunately we didn't get on Magnum or Raptor, since Raptor was closed and we were to short on time on Sunday to do Magnum. So we had a awesome time like usual at Cedar Point. Lines weren't as bad as some days, and the park was running very well. The staff was really good, the haunters were the best by far. So Tyler, and I strongly suggest going to Cedar Point, and even better Halloweekends! Now time for the Photo TR! We want you! Hotel breakers, and the awesome beach. First up, Maverick! We see you peaking at us, we'll be to you soon enough. Nerdy me. We see you. Umm, what is that skeleton on the horse doing? Up Down I don't think your forceless...... These people seem to be getting force. HalloWeekends, yay! You are pretty forceless though. How could you not love this park? Back to the hotel for a quick break. On the way back, we look up, and guess what we see! Part of me was like, omg I want to be up there. Then the other part was, like, dam its cold enough down here. Yeah, an hour up there out in 30-40 degree weather, hmm. I'd still probably do it. WT, MaxAir, Ferris Wheel, DT, and last but not least, BIRD!!!! Up close and personal. Vrooom! BIRD! OMG!!! I found a picture of Wicked Twister from the thirties! Tyler, get out of the thirties.... Magnum! Get out of that bush! This is one of my favorite pictures ever. The waters so clear, looks like the Islands. Never even knew the water got that clear. Dragster hiding behind trees. Insert own caption here... TTD's sign, fall style. No, its not stuck this time. Ahh, so pieceful. Vroooooooooom! .... Gemini. Evil!! Ok, I'm starting to think CP may have put some skeletons doing stuff in on purpose. Look! It's even more funny now! Look at whats in the little skeletons hand! Did I mention this is the better on of the two? OTSR's stink. I still love you! Intamin, woot! Same overbank, new angle! Dragster in all its glory. Close up! Sometimes when it goes fast enough over the tophat, it gives some airtime. Maverick, omg, maverick, maverick, and one more maverick. Ok I'm done. My heart you. All with smiles, as should be! Twisty Goodness. Swoosh! Airtime anyone? Millennium, woot! Back to Maverick! Umm, yah, its awesome. Fall time in the park is very pretty. My favorite time of the year at Cedar Point. Waited 20 mins to get this picture, lol. Didn't even come out that great... Raptors in there somewhere. Such a shame we didn't get on it this year. This guy came out and entertained everyone waiting for pirate island to open. Did we mention halloweekends is awesome? Corkscrew! Anyone else find this kind of ironic this year? Space ship. Maverick was so awesome Sunday. We got on this thing 3 or 4 times no wait. Then it started raining, booo! Maverick, and all its awesomeness. Notice the ride op trying not to freeze to death by the winds. Ugh, I have to say it at least once. Pretty.... Just had to. Oh and the park was this empty after it was open to the public! We wanted to ride it, but it was closed Sunday due to high winds, and rain. But of course we couldn't leave off with anything but Maverick! Thanks for reading everyone, we hope you enjoyed the Trip Report and pictures.

Hersheypark markings near Flying Falcon?
BRTeller replied to ItsDavidU's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My theory is that Flying Falcon may be leaving us. Which they may tear it out sadly. Not for a 2009 attraction, but possibly for a 2010 one. Which is really sad, since they keep taking out good old rides. Its nothing more then just a bad feeling, they did screw us over with CRR though. Along with some other classic rides. -

Frontier Springs
BRTeller replied to BRTeller's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
People always say those things about my early projects. Don't worry, its planned to start off, "very" small. It's apart of the story line, and just becuase that area is flat, doesn't mean the rest is. I'll give one small hint on just what types of buildings are coming, a huge ballroom is planned, and much more. -
Daniel and I, have been talking for some time about creating a group project, and since he's lost countless games. We decided it was time to do so, so we present to you, "Frontier Springs"! -------------------- It's the roarin twenties, and what would be a better time for us to be starten' sumtin mighty big. So me, and my good fellow here Daniel are proud to bring you "Frontier Springs". We're small now, but how well everything with the stock market and all has been doin it'll all be fine! So here's some pictures of whats we gots. I know it not much, but sure a heck of fun! -------------------- Lets just wait and see how this wacky project will come out!
-
It's obvious why the park closed, but its still very sad that such a awesome park like this has to go under. Had some of the coolest features, also it had some of the friendliest staff IMO. So I'll miss it if it doesn't come back, but I had plans of going back next season, so I guess they must have done something right.

Photo TR: Frederick Fair
BRTeller replied to BRTeller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks everyone, oh and its not the restraints on tango that hurts. It's the awful floorless standing technique it uses that hurts! It uses some sort of seat belt over your shoulders so you don't constantly hit the metal sides. -
Saturday, Tyler, and my family went to the Great Frederick County Fair. The reason this fair is so special, to me at least. Is because I've been going to this fair for every year of my life. It's a yearly tradition, and I have many memories there. It's also a key factor why I love rides, and roller coasters so much now. Even though this time, it wasn't that well done, compared to other years. We still had a lot of fun. Now onto the picture report. First up, Tornado! Then onto Freak Out. Back of Tyler's head, oh and if you have no friends, they'll get you one. Credit number one. Gravitron, that's missing padding on seats, and the floor was pealing up. Indy-500, credit number 2. Decent for a county fair. Look at theses awesome cars! Ok, I take back what I said about safety standards. Back to Tornado, seriously one of the best flats ever. (Carnies running it, not so much, they were the absolute stereotypical rude carnies.) Another shot of the only adult credit. Epic ferris wheel shot. Tyler staring at me, since ferris wheels make him nervous. But I get that way sometimes too. Midway shot 1. Midway shot 2. And one more. Kiddy credit FTW! A sad moment for all, Tango closed. The single most awesome flat ever. But it was expected, it never runs past the third day without breaking, and they never fix it before packing up. Typical..... But there was more KMG goodness. Theres a third credit in there somewhere. Awesome ride. Now look in the corner left of the screen. This guy started yelling at us after we sat in the open seat right in front of us. Then we heard him say sit here, so we did what he said. After we sat down, exact quote "I guess I'm just supposed to stand here looking stupid. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know were to sit. I guess you guys need some kind of medication to understand were to sit, said some other stuff, then walked off mumbling." Real mature, lol. Freak out. Orbitor. (Another awesome ride) Both in one! Nightmare Castle, looks impressive. You go in, then go into this big empty room, with a torn tent over it. So you could see everything. Except it was nothing, just one big empty room with one ancient metal skeleton at the end. We walked off laughing. Should win best Dark err, Light Ride of 09! Even though its broke, still deserves some love. They do have one great ferris wheel. Not to bad of a swinging ship. Credit number three! Some last pictures of Freak Out. ...... Thanks for reading, and it was nice to share a lifetime tradition, with everyone.
