On Magic Mountains FACEBOOK page, they posted current pics of Green Lantern...they definitely are working on it, looks to me like they have a very good start on the station already up and going. So progress is being made.

I'm wondering if were going to see a delay till summer of 2012 for Green Lantern to actually open....like with RRE(0bviously, hopefully not relocating it) but for whatever reason RRE had to wait, perhaps Green Lantern is meeting a same dilemma.

What they need to do is get rid of that god awful "helix that lasts forever" and return the first drop to how it was when the ride opened.

The park was also scheduled to get a new flat ride, something significant, either for this year or next. Has anyone heard any word on that status? Two new rides for the park will be a great improvement.

I have never been to the park, but have always wanted to ever since I saw the movie "BIG". From Google Earth, it really looks like a nice park, nicely laid out and with a beautiful location there on the beach. I really hope it stays and doesn't get bulldozed.

I am not sure how you guys in LA are seeing this movie already, and it doesnt come on here in Vegas for another hour and a half...and were in the same time zone...grrrr!

^^There is a Mega Lite at Tobu Zoo Park in Japan, an island nation with just as many fault lines as the So Cal area and by looking at the pics, of Kawasemi, it doesnt look like it has any more "structure" than any other Intamin coaster in a non-earthquake zone.

Well, I can say for sure that for us shorter folks, in which the restraints affect our heads a lot more, that no OTSR's would be a godsend for Revolution...

You know, they werent that bad looking for that time...

How about all new trains for the coaster...thats all it needs

The article posted that they would return one side forward when the hype died down, within six months or so....with what they said...

^Seriously? I would give them more credit than that....I doubt those bags are their to stay....if they canceled their license with Thomas Town, they would have to cover up anything that shows Thomas Town....I am sure the "bags" are temporary till they get a replacement for the front of the trains...

Robb, please explain the 80's disco....what did those old bldg fronts have to do with it? And yes, the new Apocalypse pre-show is just as cheesy as the Terminator show....I was hoping they would have gotten rid of most of the theming(just left a few accents) and let the focus be primarily on the coaster itself.

If my memory serves me correctly, the park doesnt own ANY of the land, but rents/leases it from the Newhall Land company.....this could have changed though

Was that the first home of Condor, or had it been at another Six Flags prior to that?

These are awesome pics....SF doesnt necessarily close their parks when it snows...I was at Elitch Gardens when it was still under their control...and it was snowing while I was on Twister II and Mind Eraser...during Fright Fest several years back....definitely is an experience....

If Thomas Town is in fact gone...at least thru name....why havent we heard of a rename for Percy? Or has their been one?

I am going to make a prediction, that with all the cuts and cost saving tactics the company is doing across the board, the Magic Mountain will be ending its year round run begining in 2011, and go towards a more traditional season like other parks. I of course hope I am wrong.

well, you can always bring a cooler with sandwich makings, and keep it in your car, and go back and forth to your car for lunch, even cheaper than going to that Wendy's....

^^Please, please list any good restaurants at Disneyland(not DCA)...actually, was just there a few weeks ago for three days, ate at the park a lot, and the ONLY good restaurant is that all-you-can-eat BBQ restaurant back by Thunder Mountain Railroad....everything else is mediocre at best

Supposedly, Little A-Merrick-A Amusement park bought the old Comet trains, as well as the plans for the Comet, and will one day rebuild it!

They also talk about losing the Panda Express restaurants in the park....lets hope they are replaced with other name brands and not some generic Six Slags inspired restaurant....as far as Terminator goes...if they are going to drop the terminator theming, they should just drop all the theming, and come up with something entirely different...
