Are you still going to give us that news you mentioned yesterday? I keep looking back over the last couple of pages to see if I missed it.

In the supports structure I meant.....

A combo in the track structure, wood and steel, old looking pieces of steel, something looking like they threw together whatever they could salvage, bits of wood, metal sheeting and I-beams from some warehouse building.....thats what would have made this 100% complete.(obviously, the coaster built all out of wood, with faux steel pieces attached as well), the structure alone would make people scared about riding it......something that looks right out of a Mad Max movie....not a traditional modern steel coaster though, that would have been uncreative....a woodie is perfect for this theme, just something that looks thrown together, made out of whatever possible from the scraps of the apocalypse....thats what they should have done.

Well, Disney has always wanted to open a new park in this area of the country....now they can....and base it upon the "new DCA" that is being built.....but give it a nice southern feel..... To begin with....Maximum becomes Mickeys Fun Wheel....and yes, I am trying to keep this on a good path.....some many offensive oppurtunities can be explored here..... Mickeys Fun Wheel East

How about they rename it ConAir Park....then the guests will board a plane somewhere else, only discovering after they are in the air that their are convicts on the plane with them then they fly into the park...crashing each time into the main Hard Rock guitar.....from here, they are left to their defenses to try and escape the park and its murderous thugs....a combo of Hard Rock Park, ConAir, and Escape From New York.... ConAir Park

packfanlv.....thats the same time I worked at for MGM.....what did you do there at that time?

^I never said I agreed with that price.....but when I worked there...thats how much the casino says the park cost......I new that was incorrect when the Bellagio became the first "multi - billion" dollar resort in the world, when it was built(1.9 billion to be exact)

And the thing with MGM grand adventures is that MGM claims it cost 1 billion dollars to create that park! Yes...a BILLION!.....I worked for the Grand Adventures theme park in its final years......it was so sad...they shrunk the park down to half its initial size.....took out the good rides, and left s**t! The problem with that park is the same problem with all the other attractions that have developed and failed on the Las Vegas Strip! The hotels did NOTHING to advertise and promote there attractions...either 'cause they didnt know how....or they simply didnt want too.....since the attractions take the guests out of the casinos, and away from gambling.......(i.e. the Guggenheim Museum at the Venetian, or the Nile Boat ride thru the Luxor.....and the MGM grand Adventures theme park!

The high price tag I am sure was a factor in its demise....but, Loegoland California has a higher price tag and its still open.....unfortunately!

Why would SFMM want a similiar(sit down looper) coaster in Led Zeppelin.....theres no sense in that! It is a shame that the park closed.....now, which one is next?

If your going to make the statements about Intamin and SFI or SFMM in a hatred relationship, please show an article to back it up...an article stating that in fact, SFI or SFMM has said they will never deal with Intamin again. Despite any issues including the Superman ride....assumptions do not make a valid point.

Robb has a point....I Dont know the full history of the parks' accidents and or fatalities.....but how many occured on the intamin rides they had in the past....as opposed to the B&Ms and Giovanola and International Amusement Devices, Inc. and so-on other manufacturers that have constructed coasters/rides at the park.....

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has rides stacked and next to each other...and it gives a great feel to it....

practical instead of logical.....as well as more appealing places in the park, that could bring more traffic to other areas of the park.....but, who knows where the park is planning on putting the next coaster....I am sure it will be great wherever it goes.....

yeah, Free Fall could have left enough space....but there is also other room in the park to put a coaster into as well....that would seem even more logical....

Freefall didnt leave that much space....not enough for a coaster.....

Its nice to see its finally coming along....it will go up quickly I am sure....all of a sudden, you will show up, and voila...its there...or a good part of it.....they do seem to be going up quickly....now, on a side note, screamscape.com posted an article on Dec 5th, from the LA Times, an interview with Shapiro about the next new coaster for MM in 2010(as well as the Dubai park).....cant wait to see what thats going to be like....the article also mentioned that if Terminator is a success, then other parks will see clones in the next few years....

Lets see, on that list, you can include Elitch Garens for sure.....several six flags parks(wont name them though), Frontier City perhaps.....Darien Lake perhaps.....a few of the smaller Texas parks(Wonderland is a prime example)....Alabama Adventure, maybe.....it is sad though, its awful to see any of them go....however, with Cypress Gardens, their fate was doomed when they were originally hit by the 3 hurricanes a few years back.....it was not in the cards for that park to survive.....

With three parks closing now, and the economy taking a shit......any guess as to which park is next on the list?
