SLC'S?
Shockwave replied to coaster_type_of_person's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Aww shoot, so it's just gonna be tolerable then? Haha, well it's gotta be better than Odyssey at Fantasy Island! I can't wait to see the looks on people after they get off that machine of death next year! -
SLC'S?

Wow, everything just gets better and better for next year! I've booked my flights to Orlando, my holidays are good to go, and for once I'm gonna be riding a SLC that I'll enjoy! -

I wonder whether it would be possible to visit the big 3 Finnish parks in 3 days? There's a lot of travelling between them though. Thunderbird looks awesome, and Powerpark has loads of Go-karts as well so I wouldn't mind getting out there at some point! -
OK, as I'm going to Florida in March next year, I was thinking about going upto this park for a day if it's open, and if I can squeeze it into my plans. So to those who are in the know about this park, is it worth a trip there? And do you think it'll be open in March? (I can't open the park's website to get any clues)

SLC'S?

I've been on four different SLCs, each with varying degrees of success. Blue Tornado (Gardaland) - Excellent! The best I've been on! Traumatizer (Southport) - Not bad, but not very good. El Condor (Walibi World) - I wasn't looking forward to it. And I was right. This hurt! Jubilee Odyssey (Fantasy Island) - One of the worst rides ever created. End of story! -
Well Elissa, believe it or not, I did manage to keep my eyes on the road and both hands on the wheel!!! In all seriousness, while she maybe incredibly hot, we're best friends and I don't wanna change that for anything. 8)

Here's me with one of my best friends after going to a gig in Leeds a few weeks back. And yes, she's seeing someone!

It just looks better and better! It's already on my to-do list, and if the reviews are good next year, then it'll rocket right up to the top of my plans! -

Yeah, I thought that's a B&M at first as well. Hope it's good as a B&M, I'll be riding it next summer. -
Mitch Hawker's Wood Coaster Poll!
Shockwave replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just submitted mine. Shame I've only been on 15 wooden coasters, I really need a few more! -
Nice report Soren. Two huge meals in one day! Just one thing... I hope you remembered to fill the car up, the fuel dial is almost on the redline!

That was funny! Good to see you all had a great day out there. I didn't think it was spinning tunnels made you dizzy Elissa, just the spinning rides! -

Because the train is much shorter, and therefore much less heavier than the average 5-car Accelerator trains, I wonder whether the launch on Speed Monster is gonna feel more powerful during the launch than the others out there? -
Yeah, it's never going that short again, like when I was at Thorpe Park in July!

I looked a lot like that last Friday! That's myself and a friend on a night out.

I'm actually looking foward to filling up in the US next year. Our petrol prices are high because our Government puts a huge tax rate on fuel, so it'll be strange not to be paying through the nose for gas. I do agree that oil company profits are becoming daft. I hope to high heaven they've got good plans for all that money, because I don't see anything yet.

The LOTR trilogy is my choice. Mainly because I can't stand Return Of The Jedi.

Sounds like abysmal. If they can figure a way for the restraints not to crush people half way round the track, I'm sure people will like this. After riding G-Force at Drayton Manor, I'm not expecting great things of the X-Car coasters. The hanging upside down on the lift hill is amazing, but the rest of the ride was sheer torture because the restraints ratcheted down to a point where I found breathing was difficult. It may just be to do with my build though.
