  1. Far Cry 2 (PC) - On easy, just want to get it DONE. Gears of War 2 (360) - Co-op campaign on Insane with a friend. Almost done with Act IV.
  2. Trent Renzor of Nine Inch Nails had some thoughts on how to make money as an artist with the internet: http://forum.nin.com/bb/read.php?30,767183,page=1 Pretty interesting read.
  3. A while back, I got an aftermarket cooler for my graphics card b/c it was overheating and loud as a jet engine. So I start taking stuff apart, knowing exactly what to do w/o the instructions, and he starts complaining that we shouldn't have bought this, made Geek Squad to it, etc. Then he starts putting on the thermal grease. Bad decision to let him do that. I wanted to get a 3rd-party grease that actually works. He says it was a waste. I tell him to put a grain-sized dot on the chip and spread it out evenly. So he takes the whole tube of cheap-o grease and squeezes the WHOLE THING onto th
  4. Meh. To me, that genre is cheesy and dry. I can never take Christian music seriously...ever. No matter how "hardcore" it gets, I can't listen to it seriously.
  5. Actually, AzuriteReaction was/is a real drummer before playing Rock Band/GH. So did most of the best drum players in either game. And Phenom (Danny Johnson) plays a slew of "real" instruments, including an e-drum kit. And playing Expert guitar is just as hard, if not harder than drums, since you can't just pick it up one day and FC all the songs like Phenom appears to do. It takes talent, dexterity, and lots of time. GH Guitar is nothing like real guitar. A drummer could get used to the drum controller easily. Or you can be like this guy and hook up your $$$$ e-drum kit.
  6. Very funny article indeed. I don't see myself in the list though.
  7. I started listening to Megadeth recently. I watched a show they did recently, and its pretty good music. Mustaine has a funny voice though. Its really apparent in Sweating Bullets. I'm going to see if I can do an impression.
  8. They're still around? Meh. New Dream Theater album out soon, which I'll probably be getting as the big $140 edition.
  9. DDR1 is mad expensive because its no longer produced, any stock you see are the last sticks ever. Anyways, I've tried Windows 7 RC1. Its pretty good. I used a virtual machine to use it, so I didn't really try too many insane things. Anyway, my 1-year-old computer's parts: Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz/2GB G.Skill DDR2 800/XFX 680i SLI/EVGA 8800GT Superclocked/Ultra X-Finity 600W PSU/Logisys Area 51 Case/WD 7200RPM 320GB/Vista 32-Bit
  10. Nah, get Roadrunner. Turns out Blizzard is charging people $20 on some people's credit cards multiple times for World of Warcraft purchases. Like my dad's. Good thing he checked today. His was charged 3 times, and he looked up the purchase # on Google and found MANY people have been charged the same purchase, at least more than once. F*** you, Blizzard. I'm not buying Starcraft II for this blunder. Can't handle $20 transactions? I'm can't imagine how they'll handle the masses of people getting SCII or Diablo III...
  11. My computer started acting funny and couldn't boot into Windows because it was constantly trying to update something, then restarting. I know the problem, know how to fix it, but my dad INSISTS on paying a visit to Geek Squad and having them "fix it", which means they wipe it and reinstall Windows for $60+...WHICH I CAN DO MYSELF FOR FREE! I'm dragging my dad to Best Buy to show him the cost of Geek Squad services vs. buying an external hard drive to back up my stuff. Geek Squad: $60 Analysis. $100+ to fix problem. No concern for backing up my personal files (Like my HOMEWORK) Me
  12. Why does No Child Left Behind even exist? All it does for schools with better Special Needs and/or ESL programs, like my school, is punish them for not making sure EVERYONE can pass a standardized test. We're on our 2nd/3rd year now of failing to meet these "requirements." It's quite frankly ridiculous.
  13. $10 says that on 12/21/2012 that everything that can go right, will go right. It's probably just the Mayan calendar-maker going "**** this calendar! 2012 is enough!" and left it like that.
  14. My Guitar Hero: World Tour guitar controller borked out on me last night. It was a pretty bad piece of hardware anyway. I'm getting the Les Paul controller as soon as I can.
  15. Stepmania and DDR. With pad or keyboard. I'm getting better at it each time I play. Usually. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tH_lPaPo-ig&feature=channel_page
  16. Clean the disc, if you haven't already. It might be scratches on that part of the disc that has that data. Your options: A)Buy another disc. B)"Acquire" a full disc image of RCT2 (ex. an ".iso" file), which would have the data you need. I will not tell you where or how to get a disc image, since it is a little shady even though you already own a legal copy.
  17. My autistic brother can't seem to tolerate any changes to HIS "schedule" which involves him forcing my mom to watch TV with him while he watches Youtube, or he starts screaming and almost break things. The one thing he lets my mom watch is ABC Family, and today, of course, they decide to go for different programming. The **** hit the fan within moments of my brother turning on the TV and screaming at my mom to watch TV "with" him. He hasn't stopped crying or wailing yet, and my parents are fuming. He can't comprehend that my parents can't change the TV programming. Oh, and I've got a
  18. I'm a Progressive/Trance buff myself. Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, ATB, Above & Beyond, Juno Reactor, I'm open to most of that kind of music. I'll listen to Rock if it's good. Metal would be a stretch. Anything beyond that is not my cup of tea. Or coffee. Want to blast your subwoofer out? Listen to "Under the Influence" by The Chemical Brothers. WOW. Bass through the roof. And floor and walls. I'm going to a Video Games Live concert on December 26, 2008 at NJPAC. W00t!
  19. No comment. In no order: Hybrid Daft Punk Armin van Buuren Tiesto The Crystal Method ATB Celldweller Johnathan Coulton Moby BT Frank Klepacki and some others. Can't find their CD's in stores...have to buy MP3's online.
  20. Added AutoCAD 2009 stuff from school, and others.
  21. 950, closing in on 1000+ if I get a Zune and Zune Pass. All-you-can-eat (or store) music, baby! I currently have an iPod Nano 3G 8GB. I'm a sucker for new stuff, so I want to try a Zune 8GB. Probably Christmas, even though I practically just got this Nano.
  22. I'm taking a CAD 1 course 5 days a week. Gives me an excuse to only a language for two years (it was German, the teacher was awesome, the class was great, but I think it's time to put foreign language class for me down for a while).
  23. I'm only 16, so I'm trying to stay neutral for this one. Makes it more fun when November comes around and everyone is obsessing over why they like their candidate. It annoys me when some of my co-workers (summer camp counselors) said they were for McCain simply because he would stay in the war and basically be Bush 2.0. Sigh. It pains me to see this. One of my cousins who's pro-Obama (kind of) worked at a voting registration place, and he had some pretty interesting encounters. 1."Just fill out the form, ok?" 2.*voter fills in for 'Party- Obama'* 1."Erm...that's not a party." 2."Oh, uh
  24. I went into a local big music store and found ABSOLUTELY no Trance/Electronic/Progressive stuff. Not even Tiesto. Wow. Rap, rap, pop, rap, rock, rock, etc... Sigh. My tastes are very European. Hybrid, Armin can Buuren, Tiesto, Daft Punk (kinda popular in the states, only because of Kayne West [their surprise Grammy performance was good though]), and some Celldweller. DJ's are really skipped over these days. Tis a pity.
