The CK has nothing to do with 3ds that make your track smooth. It does have a built in smoother. It does export your track to a 3ds file. Its doesnt make a 3ds that smooths your track. And no, you cant get a registered copy anymore. I have a fully registered copy if anyone needs their track exported to 3ds.

Most Overrated coaster?
Real replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Im pretty sure Ive never had a ride on Dragster in well over 100 in which I didnt feel the drop. Kinda hard when youre looking from the front seat or being ripped over the top in the back seat. Well...the front has airtime on every drop or pull up except the first drop and the main drop. The back has airtime on every hill except a few pull ups. Im pretty sure if you were expecting El Toro airtime you would think this way. But Ive never had a ride where it was airtimeless. Its impossible strictly speaking from a numbers point of view. The trains carry too much speed over several of the little hills. Correct, correct and correct. -
Flight Deck Model

Really wish I had a CoasterDynamix model because Im pretty sure I could get realistic shaping. I havent seen yet one where the Zero G was shaped properly. I need about 500 bucks in spare change though...lol -

No real reason for testers. Its been tested and not much else to be seen that I dont intimatly know about the track. Theres no real supports except in 2 locations. There are a few quirks Id love to change but that would only happen if Newton2 gets here this year. I dont usually test. Im pretty much an extreme perfectionist. Only thing Id need a tester for is for them to say its "good enough" because Ill always say its not good enough. Hence why it takes me so long to get things done...stupid perfectionist personality. -

In effect, this is a tool, isnt it? Something it showing you what to do. Not a bad thing, just another tool to add to your arsenal. -

Short end. Who knows. I may completely redo it if Newton 2 gets here in decent time. Trackwork is good, but can always be better. I wouldnt get your hopes up. Biggest problem was I intended for it to have a Nemesis feel, even with the surrounding area, but it would be little more than a station and the track. Just too much I didnt plan out. -

Ive found an old max file that contains 90% of the terrain. Gotta redo some areas and redo the spine. Other than that, actually like 10% less than what I used to have since I lost that newer file. But its one that once Im in a 3d modeling mood, Ill spend 2-3 hours and bust the terrain out pretty quickly. lots of easy meshes to work with. -

Just competed in a contest actually. Ive restarted a bunch of older rides. Still going to be awhile, but I think once August kicks in Ill have a lot more free time. I wouldnt have reinstalled all my stuff for no reason I think Im going to finish a few side projects, nothing major before I move onto finishing my major projects. I think The final version of Dragster will be the first major project considering all I need are more pictures for textures. The 3d modeling I dont think will be very hard but this time I may actually try to guage rough measurments and in max make sure its all 100% to scale. Which I think might speed it up. Nicely played Phil, nicely played -
Heres 2 images from the marquee on the theatre near the entrance to Cedar Point taken this last Monday. Pretty much Epic Failure. Then, 1min later

Correct NoLimits G-Force Colors
Real replied to Real's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Yes alex, -1.8 is too much. I think some of the more severe actual G's are on the intamin plug n plays and a couple other random rides and i doubt they pull over that. Plus, if you check the ASTM guidelines, i think they list -2 but only for a fraction. I think -1.8 is extreme enough and wouldd be safe, yet really extreme. Remember, its not always the actual numbers but sometimes the transition that makes it feel more intense than it is. the only thing this thing cant take into account is duration of G's. So dont make a 5g helix that lasts 3 or 4 seconds. Even a 4g helix at that length is pushing it (ala Titan). Duration is IMO more important that actual force. -
Correct NoLimits G-Force Colors
Real replied to Real's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
As part of a contest, why not mandate the download of that too? over time people will eventually migrate to it. Plus, COLORS DONT MEAN ANYTHING! This is just an added buffer for those who are too lazy to actually read the G Forces and still want to go by color. I personally have tuned the color out. I just see the numbers and this is how everyone should be. Read the numbers, NOT THE COLORS! -

You do as I told. Unzip the file to your NoLimits folder. Thats all you do. The game will automatically use it instead of the default. -

LIM Coaster Contest

Is the pre-station launch bad...or just would prefer something else? I thought a launch from the station is bit...dated and liked the idea of a little "woah" from the station that led into a faster launch. Plus, it helped make the second launch shorter but get the train up to a faster speed - especially with how small the template was and length of the track. Plus, getting to the launch I figure eh, too many times we meander out of the station to the launching area. Why not just get the heck the move on! LOL -

I completely disagree. Its easy to rate, you guys just put too much thought into it and make it 100 times harder than it has to be. For BT it was 100% acceptable to say something like "I liked the way the ride was built. It felt smooth and rode a lot like the real thing. Maybe a few turns were too tight and one of the hills had a noticable pump in it" It was said 100 times in the forums you dont even have to use any of the terminology. What you needed to do was just explain what you thought about the rides BT. As for O, again, it was made out to be more than it was simply because most members misunderstood originality. If you wanna get down to brass tacks, no ride was truely original. I could nit pick about the littlest things but thats boring. Its easier to say "I really enjoyed the layout. It had that B&M feel and even while the order of the elements was similar, it still had its own style with a B&M feel. Extra points for throwing blah blah into the layout" It was really, really easy but everyone assumed you had to be a crazy techincal genius. That simply wasnt true. And it was told you didnt have to be like that all over the forums. As for not catching them all...its not easy to catch every single bad rate. But each bad rate was read individually and determined if it was helpful or constructive or not. I did this personally for about a year. Wasnt hard. -

Your reason for not going to a site is flashing gifs for avatars? Really? :\ I was on Staff at CS...the ratings limit was a good thing. I didnt like putting months of work up and having someone rate with "It was really fun. I liked it" Might as well tell me what kind of day you had or how good your poop was. I would be more entertained with that. -
