Wow, VERY jealous. Can't wait to hear the reviews! Wonder if this will end up being a front or back row ride... Seeing it test all afternoon has me even MORE excited to ride!

I find it interesting that there's no lead/zero car attached in that one picture.

^What time did you get there today? Would have been great to meet up with you! I was there between 3:30ish and 5:30. Got some amazing video. I didn't notice any human riders while I was taping. But maybe I'll go through all my footage again to see if I did catch it.

Hmmm... Must just be bad luck on my part. It's similar to Volcano with my visits. Run to it as soon as it opens otherwise the line is horrendous with single train operation. Glad to hear that they do actually run it with 2 trains.

I've been to KD 5 times (including April, June, and August visits). I have only ever seen Avalanche run 1 train. Does it ever run 2?

^It's about time we received 4-across seating! It's unfortunate we didn't get that 9th row though. I can't wait to experience the drop in the back row.

^The park owns all the equipment for it. There's still a substantial cost in creating a new show though. It seems as though the plan was to keep it for at least a couple seasons but it wasn't confirmed until recently.

Hotel??? I think everyone should just cram in to my place for a hot tub party! I'm sure the neighbours wouldn't mind having a bus parked on the street for the night.

^^My pleasure Laura! I've loved following along with updates from so many members on this site and others of great coasters going in their home parks. It's been so much fun getting to keep everyone up to date with the construction of Leviathan and everything else Canada's Wonderland. Just my way of saying THANK YOU to everyone that has kept me in the loop all these years!

Another update from Canada's Wonderland today. Topics include Leviathan (including more footage of testing) and new 2012 entertainment offerings. For those of you that love chains and gears. Ready to go up the lift! Here's the first train ready to make the very first test run on Leviathan! Soon we`ll all be entering the station here getting ready to hop in to one of those comfy B&M seats. Big coaster. Big sensors in the station. Red, orange and yellow. 3 comfy trains ready to thrill guests in just over a month. I am so jealous of all those water dummies... Custom mount for the GoPro camera used for the POV we`ve all enjoyed. Station is coming along. Still lots of details to add. Another view of the station. It definitely blends in with the other stations in the Med. area. This is where you`ll be able to purchase your on-ride photo. For the those of you that love a nice, big motor! Wiring continues. Wiring continues 300ft in the air. Soon, this will be a queue full of excited guests! Now, let us take a quick walk down memory lane... It all started almost a year ago with a fence and these same pipes showing.

Not sure of when those videos were taken (not sure if they were open or not at that time). I'll have video up tonight that I took yesterday (Sunday). They were manually adjusting both trims (on both camel-back hills). So I believe what you'll see in my videos is what it looks like with trims "on".

I can definitely confirm that is now the typical speed they are obtaining during testing (as of yesterday). It MOVES through the elements (especially the first barrel-roll/overbank turn and the first large camel-back hill). I can't wait to ride this!

I have even MORE exciting news about that POV... That is the very first test run (March 15). The trains now travel the course quite a bit FASTER than what you're seeing. If there was that much air on that first run, I can only imagine how much MORE you will get when this opens! As for the lift, it was not going full speed on that first run. It goes up quite a bit faster now. It definitely does not take almost a minute for the train to make it to the top.

It was flying over the first large camelback and hammerhead today as well!

Hey everyone, I did some editing with my original test video and smoothed it out a lot. If you were turned off by the shakiness, this should make you very happy!

Only the single test run was conducted on Thursday evening. I stopped by the park for a while yesterday afternoon but no tests. Not sure if they'll be doing work over the weekends. Today is cool and damp, so definitely not ideal conditions. I'm hoping to get some better footage soon to share with everyone! Just found out from a CWMania member that Leviathan was testing about an hour ago. So I guess they're going all weekend long!

I mentioned this thread to the folks at Canada's Wonderland and they reminded me that this picture of Leviathan's control panel had been posted on Facebook:

I am blown away with the detail they're putting into the trains. This ride looks better and better each time I see it. Looks like a VA trip is going to have to happen this season!

The other 2 trains were empty. No water dummies visible in the maintenance bays. It appears as though there are currently only enough water dummies for one train (there could be more elsewhere on site).

And all 3 trains have been placed on the track. 2 were in the maintenance bays while the 3rd made the test run.

It was a single empty seat on the front row. No one was sitting in it. For those wondering, temperature was around 15*C or 59*F.

The "roar" is definitely sweet on that first drop! I hope to get some much better video of testing over the next little while. It only tested once tonight.
