Here is a ticket book from Gillian's Wonderland Pier in Ocean City, NJ from 2004. EDIT: I apologize for the bad contrast in the photos. Will do better next time. There are 20 pages of 5 tickets a page. Notice the 2004 overprint in read as a security feature. Inside cover with a coupon for entry into the waterpark. Book cover.

Happy Birthday! Will KidTums be refraining from saying happy birthday to you today in order to through you a huge party at West Coast Bash?

Another ticket from a park that is no longer around - A VIP Pass from Miracle Strip Amusement Park. Printed on 4 point security stock. This ticket was good for a P.O.P. wristband. Miracle Strip Amusement Park VIP Pass - circa ???

^^ Already talking about next season for them? They are the fourth seed in the West at this point. Who knows what might happen in the playoffs. ^ Completely agree.

Six Flags May Not Survive 2009...

^ I think you misunderstood. Nothing was ever said about Bud going out of business. However, just the thought that In-Bev/Bud would purchase just based on the fact that they aren't going out of business is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. -
I do. However, I know that other people wouldn't........

It´s even fantastic if you replace the salami with grilled vegies like zucchini and peppers or, no joke, grilled Hokaido-Pumpkin. When you grill the pumpkin, pour a marinade made from olive-oil, cinamon, salt and honey over it, that´s an awesome taste! He is not just Elissa friendly now, but he is also vegan friendly (well, minus the honey in the marinade)! Way to go Gerd!

This is going to be a very interesting tournament. With the amount of upsets during the course of the regular season and now in March, I think we might see a couple lower seeds in the Final Four this year.

Haha. No. I don't really think so. It would be a nice perk, and since I am new on the job, I don't feel it is right to ask something like that. Though, the do have a company outting at Knoebels every summer, and a company golf outting at Three Ponds, which are nice perks.

I was going to say a few weeks ago that I thought the Jazz were going to make a run...... My friend and I actually bet at the beginning of every season on who will win the East and West. This year I picked the Jazz in the West and have looked like an idiot for most of the season. I'm glad they picked it up.

Gerd - Look pretty much awesome! I'll have to try it with some veggie salami sometime, hold the cheese. About how long does it take the bread to double again when rolled out and wrapped? 30 minutes again?

^ I completely agree. I would always sit and wonder just how much really goes on behind the scenes at a park with purchasing. There is just so much that is needed at a park that people just completely take for granted. There are so many expenses, and things that need to be ordered and taken care of, and there are so many people behind the scenes that make it all happen. Tickets and toilet paper have to come from somewhere, you know? For today's entry, I have a little bit of a blast from the past again. Here is a sheet of tickets from the William's Grove Speedway. They are printed on Bristol stock paper, the kind that is used for redemption - "skee-ball" tickets. They are perforated so at the entrance the person working the booth will tear off the one end and give the other ticket to the person going to watch the way or show. As you can see, the numbering is the same on both sides of the perf. William's Grove Speedway Tickets - circa ???

^ Must be. I swear I saw it in the anal section at Condom Kingdom this past weekend...

Today I have a pretty neat one. Here is a Six Flags dollar from the now defunct Six Flags Astroworld. It is printed on 4 point (thin) safety stock, like the Dorney Park ticket above - so it has UV imprinting and the diamond prints for security measures. It is also numbered. You can see the numbers on both sides are the same - the right side with "VOID IF DETACHED" is perforated and once used that part would have been detached and the "dollar" would have been useless. As you can see, this particular dollar was good for the 2001 season. Six Flags Astroworld 2001 Dollar
