  1. And here I was going to blame Carmen Sandiego...
  2. EDIT: Is someone able to upload a ZIP of the Wi-Fi USB Connector software please? Can't find my CD and I'm going to have to do a hard disk reformat shortly. Thanks. My Wii Number is 8934 5222 4765 1246. Have just added the Alveys tonight since it's very late (could you put me on your list, Robb?). More in the morning. Just have one Mii so far, will create some more over the weekend. Looks like fun. Feel free to add me everyone.
  3. 60 metres high. Only 20 more than Superman but it looks way bigger.
  4. Yeah that's just it - a faithful recreation of a classic without bells'n'whistles. Sometimes that doesn't work but when a game is good enough, as TP was, you don't need much in the way of bonuses.
  5. Yeah, Thrillville will be released tomorrow. Personally I'll be buying both and taking both DS & PSP to the TPR trips so we can all have some in-between theme park theme park 'action' This was where it all started though in terms of coaster games and was one of the earliest simulations games I played so having this on DS appeals to me for a few reasons. Will post more information on this as I come across it
  6. http://palgn.com.au/article.php?title=Theme+Park+coming+to+the+DS&id=6102&sid=33848d2cc4aa60ef00018bf06c2dd9d7 About time! While Theme Park is no RCT, it was still a very playable game & so it will be nice for owners of Nintendo's handheld to have their own portable roller coaster game. One of the shots shows a hiring screen for a 'Squid Man' whom I can't remember being in the original so maybe they've added a bit of content to the original game - some new, more-current coaster types perhaps? Anyway, the dual screen/touch screen design will make the game very intuitive to play. Hopefully it will be a lot better than the Zoo Tycoon port.
  7. Often with CDs if there is a cover or another song is sampled in a track, I'll dig up the original songs. Been listening to Rudebox a bit so did some digging and got the most recent two tracks I've been listening this morning. Like Robbie's versions but the originals are very funky. Definitely recommended. Title: Bongo Bong Artist: Manu Chau just switched over to Title: Lovelight Artist: Lewis Taylor
  8. The Hulk sucks? Dude, you smoking what the OP is? I can't believe no one has posted this response yet but I'm all 3 -> 1) schizophrenic 2) dragon 3) rollercoaster That's right I'm Duelling Dragons! ... and I won't hear anything against my sister beast Lou
  9. Oh seriously, you know for a fact they work for the Wii as well? Brilliant! Thanks for the heads-up.
  10. Awesome shots, can't wait to hit Japan next year and you just made it harder I'll forgive you though. DisneySea looks absolutely brilliant - the amount of work they have put in is just incredible.
  11. Well I will be doing China in general so if no one else makes it there with me, I will brave the Supermarket Coaster of Death alone, by jove! The photo TR must be made!
  12. I'm going to sit down and read through the entire thread but I would like this one question answered: For the Net functionality, will I need to buy a wireless router? Or can I just connect my normal router to the Wii via Ethernet cable?
  13. dressed to shoot some hoops. blue Adidas IMPOSSIBLE tee with 'IM' crossed out - hardcore hey? blue basketball shorts with white and red striping. bare feet
  14. Thanks for the pictures. Looks like an interesting show. Has everyone been very friendly?
  15. Thanks Robb, always good to see a passing mention to a park outside of a documentary. What I want to know is when can we expect to see a Survivor type show involving extended ride time on the world's most painful coasters? THAT would be entertainment.
  16. Pfft. Paintbrush is a better art program.
  17. Where my old house was when I was little (South Brisbane suburb of 'Hill End', for the Aussies among us), there was road near it which was a pretty sharp incline. As we drove down, we'd get a significant bounce at one point and I'd go 'whoa whoa'... which is what we called it. Sadly it was re-paved so the effect is gone. Leading up to the 'Whoa Whoa' there was also a street called Sankey Street - which is still there. Houses line both sides of it but it goes down a hill at a really sharp angle - so bordering on vertical it's not funny. So sometimes we would be driving home and instead of going down the Whoa Whoa, Dad would suddenly turn the 'coaster' to the left to plunge down this street. Mum and I were NOT amused. What can I say, those times were some of my earliest thrill experiences... Next time I'm up there (it's only about an hour's drive north of where I live now) I'll try to get some shots of that Sankey Street though just so you can see how sharp the drop is.
  18. As a couple of people have already said, it would make for a great scary movie set - as a filmmaker that was actually my first thought on seeing the shots. I would love to explore the first park - maybe before or after the 2007 Japan trip perhaps?
  19. Let's face it, it will be crap without Gary Sinise anyway.
  20. What ride is that sign on? Tutuki Splash? Nice TR for a first one by the way. I really like the panaramic shot of Khan too.
  21. I'm not an a diehard DOA fan. The characters seemed close to the video game versions but most weren't shown for very long. The plot was crap, I would have ditched it to just show more fights - going through the tournament and seeing who wins would have made for a better movie than using this storyline, as ridiculous as that might sound.
  22. Hey that's pretty cool ... the buttons for the sounds don't seem to always work though. Still, excellent find, thanks for sharing...
  23. The graphics still look very good and I'm sure developers will push the system to its limits. But what matters most is the gameplay & how innovative it is: and that is one respect that the Wii will be very hard to beat.
  24. Sixteen Candles!
  25. I've preordered mine from Toys'R'Us as in Australia they're offering a free game at launch for those who get in and put a $50 deposit down. What game choices we will have remains to be seen and the employees didn't know but hey, it's something for nothing.
