  1. I'm sorry, but I'm on the edge of my seat right now! I can't wait for Ghost Galaxy to come to California! I've seen videos and I can faintly see the ghost float throughout the ride. I definetely will be heading to Disneyland this October!
  2. Recently, I've taken a break from the Jak & Daxter series and instead bought Twisted Metal Head On: Extra Twisted Edition for the PS2. I have the PSP version, but I'll say the PS2 version is so much better. The frame rate is smoother, the colors are more vibrant, and just various things have been done to improve the gameplay. The LOST levels from Twisted Metal Black 2 are fun to play, though the music is repetitive and there are only four, but they are very fun to play. The Lost Twisted Metal 1 endings were hilariously cheesy. I love how neither the actor nor the car showed up in the Crimson Fury ending. Overall, I say that the game was worth $15 dollars I paid for, but I still can't wait to get my hands on Jak 3!
  3. On my first ride, I'm definitely picking "Rollin" by Limp Bizkit! I always thought that was a good coaster song, especially one with inversions.
  4. I just watched my second episode of BrainRush and so far, it's at Knott's again. Hopefully, IF this show gets renewed for a second season, it'll take place at a different park. I can also verify that when the host and the contestant are going up the chain lift on Boomerang and Silver Bullet, it sounds A LOT like the chain lift noise in Roller Coaster Tycoon. They also moved several parts of the ride footage along too.
  5. That is one wicked accident scene. It's a shame that it happened. Although I feel bad for the one killed cast member I was glad no one else onboard was hurt. My speculation is that Disney won't allow visitors in the front of the monorails for a while, but over time, they'll let them back in. Hopefully, this hasn't been answered yet, but how will this affect the monorails at Disneyland in California?
  6. Eeeh..... Ed McMahon... Farrah Fawcett... Michael Jackson... Billy Mays... It's just not that good of a weekend.
  7. I saw the show a few days ago, and like KPfreak519, I only watch it for the rides. I'm also curious as if they'll all be taped at Knott's.
  8. The caption for the topic reminded me that Michael Jackson was the star of the former Disneyland attraction "Captain E.O." So it seems that the music industry and theme park industry have suffered a big loss.
  9. I actually turned to MTV. They ARE playing a music video!
  10. Wow...Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and now Michael Jackson...my whole family is shocked... My mother remembers going to one of his contests in 1986 in L.A. This news just shocks me. It really does. The guy who patented the Moonwalk and the maker of "Thriller"....gone. R.I.P. Michael Jackson
  11. The games I'm currently playing now: 1) Jak II (PS2) It's so much fun, and yet it's very long... 2) Crash Twinsanity (PS2) The music in this game is just awesome! Still need a few gems from Slip Slide Icecapades. 3) Mario Kart Wii (Wii) Finishing up Mirror Mode... 4) Pokemon Platinum (DS) Need to level up before facing Cyrus for last time... 5) Thrillville (PSP) Not as good as RCT3, but where else can you scream on your own coasters? Games that I'm want to get in near future: 1) Jak 3 2) Jak X: Combat Racing 3) Thrillville: Off the Rails 4) Crash: Mind over Mutant 5) Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando
  12. I really hate "otakus". Those are the kind of hardcore anime fans who only like the Japanese-language anime and hate the English dubs simply because they're in English. They're more annoying on YouTube, when you watch the anime and you see a bunch of comments saying "the English voice actors suck" or "they ruined this joke'.
  13. Anyone see that new show on Cartoon Network called "Brainrush?" It's this game show that takes place at Knott's Berry Farm where they pick out random guests waiting in line and ask them questions during the ride? Personally, I hate all of the new reality shows on Cartoon Network, but "Brainrush" isn't bad as any of them, probably because it's the only original show from the crop (the others are just copies of other shows found on Discovery Channel). So, any thoughts?
  14. Actually, they're not happy because they have been boyfriend and girlfriend since our Knott's trip on Monday. But on the bus ride over to Disneyland, they broke up. The Honda's are supposed to be advertising and they sometimes showcase the new models coming out. That's what the teachers at my school kept telling us.
  15. Well, I'm graduating from Beaumont High School tonight, and that means that last night while many of you were asleep, I was partying and having fun at Disneyland Park. I thought the Grad Nite experience was unique and wonderful. True to what Jahan says in his report, the overall atmosphere is different, but many of my friends loved it, saying that "Disneyland knows how to throw a good party". We left school at around 9:30 p.m. and got to Disneyland around 10:30 p.m. and we got into the park at 12:30 a.m. First, our bus driver was confused as to which bus parking she was supposed to go and once she did find out, it took about an hour and 30 minutes to go through the massive line of school buses. We parked into the Pinocchio parking lot and we sat down for a few minutes as security guards came in and gave us a set of rules that we had to follow. Some were no-brainers (no weapons, no drugs in the park, etc.), but some rules just astounded me (no shirt logos bigger than your fist, no water bottles). I mean, I understand why those rules were in place, but still...to think that teenagers have become so unruly that water bottles aren't even allowed inside Disneyland. Anyway, we were given wristbands and clear plastic bags to put all our stuff in. There were no trams in service, so we had to walk from the Mickey and Friends tram station to the Entrance Plaza. Now, for some reason, when it's during the day, security is usually strict but lax as well. Grad Nite, they were super-strict. They separated the students from the boys and girls and they pat us down for anything suspicious. Again just shocked at how up-tight security was. Many kids had to turn their T-Shirts and jackets inside-out because they had logos bigger than a fist. After we went through security, I finally entered Disneyland park with my friends. Main Street, as well as the rest of Disneyland, was definitely different than usual. There were bright lights, wacky-wailing-inflatable-arm-tube-men, Hondas, and loud music throughout the park. I really didn't care much for that, since I knew it was only for one night. First thing we did was grabbed a spot right in front of the castle for the 1:00 a.m. showing of Grad Nite Explosion, which was a fireworks spectular designed "exclusively" for us graduates. I thought it had a great finale, but otherwise, it was okay. After Grad Nite we headed into Tomorrowland and rode Star Tours, which was only posted at 15 minutes. Space Mountain was posted at 90 minutes. Many of us knew that lines were going to be bad, so we braved the long line. But, thanks to amazing CM-operations, it only took us about 60 minutes to get onto the ride. Now, for tonight, it was the regular Space Mountain running and not "RockIt Mountain". One thing I noticed was that in the inside queue, all of the emergency lights were on. Why...I do not know. Though, one thing I was disappointed about is that when Jahan went to Grad Nite, they did this: For my Grad Nite, they didn't do that. The ride, however, was fun as always and it was running smoothly and much better than it would be during normal park hours. Seeing as how the Matterhorn and Autopia both 101'd (broke down), we went into Adventureland and took a quick ride on the Jungle Cruise. Indiana Jones was posted at 90 minutes, so we skipped it and headed into New Orleans. At this point, my back was killing me, so taking long rides on Pirates and the Haunted Mansion was heaven for me...and my spine. After that, we took a circuit on the Disneyland Railroad and then Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. At that point, the sun was rising and everyone was feeling drowsy and tired. Here are the pictures I took from Grad Nite: The sign in front of the entrance into the Mickey and Friends parking structure. Much cheering was done by the students of Beaumont High School, upon seeing this. The people that me and Marissa were hanging out with. Unfortunately, some things erupted between them, so we broke away. The massive amount of people waiting to get into the park. Taken from the Pinocchio parking lot. This was the bag they gave us to put all our stuff in. The sign hanging over Main Street, welcoming and congraduting us, the class of 2009! One of the many Honda cars on display at the park. They even pointed them out on the Grad Nite maps. Me and Marrisa in front of another Honda car. The dance floor and KIIS FM DJ in front of the castle. A group shot of us in front of the castle. The only time Mike (far left) smiled on the whole trip. A better shot of the DJ and dance floor... The following are pictures from Grad Nite Explosion: Waiting in line at Star Tours... Space Mountain waiting time... Space Mountain, lit up at night... Another dance floor in Tomorrowland... Marrisa, rubbing the magic lamp, for 50 cents... Morning rising over Disneyland at 5:35 a.m.
  16. Both of my home computers are infected with the Win32.brontok worm and it's really getting me mad. I can't download anything without the internet crashing. Anyone know a good way to remove this problem?
  17. I can't wait until Grad Nite, which is only about a week away! Though, I have a question. Is Finding Nemo going to be open or not? And what are the lines like? I have read Jahan's Grad Nite Trip Report and I was amazed at the line for Space Mountain, but I assumed it was because it was RockIt Mountain at the time. Just wanna know...
  18. Only 11 more days until Grad Nite 2009! I can't wait! Hopefully, the lines won't be TOO long.
  19. Mister Ivers is the ultimate roller coaster fanatic! He has done what many others have failed to do: built a roller coaster in their backyard. Even though it's safety is questionable (to me), I think it looks great! Can't wait to see more, Big Mike!
  20. $180.25 Dollars for a damn changing station?!? Hmmm...I always figured it would be cheaper. Anyway, the queue looks very nice and the coaster's looking great! It'll probably be a while before I go back to SFMM and ride Terminator, but it will be great once I do.
  21. There was a snake outside of my house today! It was red with a black-colored head. My Rottweiler sort of had a little stand-off with the snake. He then lunged at it, grabbed it in his mouth, and ripped it to pieces. Kind of freaked me out, but I'm proud of my dog for killing it. I think he deserved the steak we gave him.
  22. That is awesome! Very Terminator like! The steel looks great! Can't wait til Memorial Day Weekend.
  23. Whew, mananged to download mine before it was too late. Robb, that was great stuff that you put on the DVD. Everything was so smooth and clear. But, for some reason, it always freezes when I get near the end of the Flashback footage. Maybe it's my computer. Thanks Robb!
  24. This is a new video that I uploaded. I hope you guys find this funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcWk9hDSRZ0
  25. I think the Swine Flu is going to everyone's heads. Today at school, there are these two white kids who were wearing masks over their mouths today. But what really got me angry was when they went up to every black and mexican kid in the school and telling them: "Don't sneeze on me". WTF?!? And they didn't even tell that to the white kids either.
