  1. Terrible list of reasons!! LOL My two favorite are: 1) The coasters are average 2) The park is ugly LOL you are nutz I love Cedar Point, but I have to agree with him, alot of there coasters are just average. Millennium Force is good, but not S:ROS SFNE kind of good, Magnum is the same, Dragster was a huge let down, Gemini is overrated, Raptor is good but not all that good, Mantis and Mean Streak are terrible, and Disaster Transport is worthless. Some of their less talked about coasters are great though. Blue Streak has great air (and a large qauntity of it) Iron Dragon doesn't deserve all the flak it gets, and Wicked Twister is excellent. I personally don't think the park is ugly, but I haven't been to any Disney, Universal, or Busch parks so I don't have much to compare it to.
  2. Ugggghhhhh... The awards PDF was TERRIBLE to read. Pretty much just a huge advertisement. I'm also sorta suprised Maverick didn't place higher. Must be those ACEers that think that bigger is always better (When it comes to both coasters and people ) that voted it lower.
  3. I'm pretty sure they got it extended to 85 feet after Starblaster, but yes, it is true. Six Flags or Premier I believe did once try to buy it out, but only so SFNE wouldn't have any competition (Or it might have been Lake Compounce they tried to buy out, but I'm pretty sure it was Canobie).
  4. Despite not seeing the point of the trains, I am also excited for the ride... Well actually, I WAS excited for it when it was first announced, I was even thinking about a trip to CW just to ride it. I probably won't end up riding it next year, but it looks like a good coaster. My main problem is the trims. It is excessive to have them on three consecutive hills. That drop should be amazing the back row. One big advantage to the wierd trains is there length, meaning more air in the back row. And the finale, while short, should be fun with the two helices. Actually, looking at the layout again, it really looks pretty good. Not the best, but in no way bad. I just don't see the point of the trains though. It is like Cedar Fair told B&M to think of some pointless gimmick so they could hype the ride up to the GP more.
  5. Blue Streak at Cedar Point. I went on it expecting a mild, smooth ride like Thunderbolt at SFNE, but was majorly suprised. Great airtime on pretty much ever hill. So what if it is 78 feet and not 75 feet or under? Does 3 feet really matter that much?
  6. You won't be able to ride it. I have done things like it before, and it doesn't work. If the train trys to go into any section of track not part of the track the coaster train starts on, no matter what track type, it will fall off the tracks.
  7. Vekoma? As I clicked on this thread, I was actually just thinking a Boomerang would work well at this park. Or maybe its a TOGO?
  8. Meh, I'm not a fan of it. After you said it would be something never before seen in RCT3 I was expecting something never before seen in RCT3, not just a flyer. And Ice Age? For a huge thrill coaster like this? It just doesn't fit.
  9. It would be hilarious if it was. That coaster was TERRIBLE
  10. Looks good so far, but I agree you need another coaster, something more traditional to contrast Mojave's uniqueness. Maybe a GCI woodie or some sort of looper. Also, one problem that this park has is that it is too small and cramped. You should spread them out more in my opinion, and maybe widen the pathways.
  11. If they do, don't expect it to be very high. As I understand, Stealth was a one-off thing, and Thorpe won't be building anything much taller then 100 feet ever again. And besides that, there 2009 coaster is pretty much confirmed to be a B&M Flyer.
  12. If Chiller does leave, I hope they get it running for a little while at least this season so people can get in last rides. I would really like to ride it again, and I would love to try out the Batman side I didn't get to ride when I was there in 2006.
  13. A B&M themed to Ice Age would be wierd, so I'm, guessing Robocoaster, or perhaps a family oriented X-Car. Or maybe it could be a new family coaster concept from B&M or something.
  14. Micheal Jackson, who had frequently molested it. After realizing the emotionally scarred phone was not able to act in the movie, the director sent it away to...
  15. SFNE might get a coaster next year. Survey markers have started popping up in the southern part of the park, on trees near their car ride, and pathways near Splashwater Falls. Back in May Screamscape heard that a new attraction or maybe even a small to mid sized coaster would be going in around there. I am personally hoping for an Italian Job style launched coaster. We need something with a launch in New England, and something like Italian Job would also attract families.

  17. Only the part of the beach down by the hotel and Magnum has lots of trash cans. Down by Wicked Twister, there are almost none.
  18. Uh, what about Thunderbolt? 52" restriction. I am pretty sure that Dominator could run safely with a 52" restriction. It isn't hurting SDC's Wildfire right? Back to the topic at hand, if they are removing these two coasters, Geauga is either going to be demolished completly (The rides area that is) or become a completly different park with a different target audience then Six Flags built for.
  19. I'm sorry, but that is not a mega line for Cannonball. I waited in a line that was out the entrance and at or maybe even past the fountain for Cannonball, and it was worth it in my opinion.
  20. Perhaps Cedar Fair has an exclusivity contract on this style of trains?
  21. No ride can be described as "just a bunch of hills", not even the most basic of out and back rides like La Ronde's Goliath. And this ride isn't even one of the most basic out and back rides, it definatly has a good bit more to offer then just hills.
  22. Yeah, three, one on each of the three hills between the hammerhead and MCBR.
  23. I'm not sure how they will downgrade capacity much at all. The trains still seat the same number of people, and are still sort of 4 across. Although you may see longer lines for the front because of people who don't understand the seating arrangment, on the other hand, you might see short lines for the split seats for the same reason.
  24. Planning AND construction. May 2008 minus 18 months would be December 06. Cedar Fair finished aquiring the Paramount Parks in October right?
