  1. Well, I am currently running on Windows, but I am most likely going to switch to Mac within the next week or two. I've already planned what I'm going to get, I'm just waiting for my report card... So here's my story: I've been running Windows my whole life. Up until about last year, I hated Macs, but they grew on me. I've never used Linux. When my brother's friend got his Macbook, I really noticed how nice Apple's computers can be. So I decided to get a Mac. I can't wait! --Mike
  2. Well, since I saw Evan Almighty (It's pretty good. Not NEARLY as good as Bruce Almighty though.) already, I guess I'm most looking forward to Transformers. It looks really good from the previews. -Mike
  3. Well, to me this sounds similar to the TTD/KK cable snaps. It's not necessarily bad maintenance, but it's very well possible that it was. I really think what happened was it just frayed, and snapped. Similar to TTD's cable snap. The cable got worn and frayed, the stress of the train on the cable just snapped it. I mean, the cars are really heavy, so they put a lot of stress on the cable. But what I'm not understanding on these rides is one very simple thing; Why don't they protect/cover the cables? I mean, it doesn't seem like a very hard concept to keep people safe. Why not do it? On another note, I feel really bad for anybody who was closely involved in the incident. The girl, the ride ops, the guy who had to clean it up, SFKK, the girls family, the doctors, everyone involved. -Mike "I can't really say much more about the girl other than a simple 'wow'" J
  4. ^Well, you have to realize that this is a 2 year old we're talking about. He's not heavy at all. How much alcohol affects you is based on your body weight. While yes, one sip isn't a lot for people at our age, it is a lot for someone of that age/weight. Another factor is that it's a margarita we're talking about. It's a very alcoholic drink! -Mike
  5. Well, that was probably because Applebee's agreed to pay the hospital bill. Otherwise, they'd probably be sueing them.
  6. ^You're looking for songs on X? Well, there are some by The Crystal Method, and the last one is called "Confusion (Pump Panel Remix)" by New Order. The album is "The Rest Of New Order." It's a techno song...really good. -Mike
  7. Original Article:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070615/ap_on_fe_st/odd_accidental_margarita_2 Wow...this is really stupid. You'd think they'd know a sippy cup isn't for margaritas.... -Mike
  8. Great report, Jahan! Did anybody else notice that Ryan, and Chris are wearing (almost) identical shirts?
  9. Great pictures! I've really gotta get some pics of thunderstorms... But I live in southern California...so...yeah...I don't get much over here. But when I go to New York this summer, I'll have to take some pictures! Thanks for the inspirations, and pictures! -Mike
  10. Ok, if you're Alexander "Hates Magic Mountain" Dickey, then WTF are you even posting in this thread!? You're posting for no reason! Anyway, Magic Mountain seems to be getting better and better by the day. I'm actually more excited for my next visit because of the quality. As far as rides go, I'm glad to hear that spin out, and Thrill Shot are finaly working! --Mike "But he's going to Knott's next Friday instead" J
  11. Well...I've never been to Disney World, but as if it's "Star Wars Weekend" I think I'd probably suggest going another day. But yeah...it's hopefully it won't be too crowded if you decide going this weekend. Happy birthday --Mike EDIT: SO apparently it's gay weekend...so I don't know if you wanna go!
  12. Hey everyone! Our youth group went on a group trip to the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood yesterday for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. We had a really great time! I'll let the pictures, and side stories in between tell the story... Ok...so there was going to be a costume contest (Which we never actually had), so I decided to dress up as a Ninja Pirate! (Yes, there is now such a thing) Yes, that IS an inflatable parrot. Ok...I had to have SOME pirate stuff on, because if I didn't I wouldn't be allowed on the bus. Yay! Those are our tickets! We're goin' to Hollywood! (although yes, it really isn't a great place.) And here we are...in the Church parking lot. Only some of our awesome friends that came! We had to wait out there a bit, but we got there on time, saw the movie, it's all good. ...and yes, people liked the costume. Although most of the people just liked the parrot! One guy dressed up as Davey Jones. He actually had a great costume! Ok...here we are on our way there in the Deathbus4000+. We managed to stay alive this time... So we finally arrive at Hollywood and Highland...we ate dinner there. On the way in there while we were walking, we saw some dumpster, and a puddle by it...which was lime green....and foamy... Ate over here, right across from KROQ. I had Mongolian food. It was gooood. Dinner. Ok...so we're getting our dinner, and our Hungarian friend likes his food SPICY. VERY SPICY!!!! The guy asks "How hot would you like it?" ...My friend said something along the lines of..."I want it burn my lips off spicy! I want it so spicy that I want to sweat tears out of my-" He stopped there, but you can fill in the blanks, right? Right. Anyway, we ate our dinner, and all...then. We raided and pillaged KROQ. I totally owned...I got to go Ninja on those guys. In all seriousness, I think this picture is nice. Even if I'm playing the creepy photographer guy! And there it is; the El Capitan! ZOMG LIEK TEH XTREME Z000M!!! (All spelling mistakes in that caption were intentional.) Ok...so we were still waiting to get in line at the theater, so we went downstairs and looked around. I saw some guy in an Elmo costume, and sent it to my friend. When she got it, she said she was down there earlier, and she got chased by Spongebob! So then we waited in line for a while for the movie... ...and waited... ...and waited... ...and waited... ...and talked to our friends... ...and then FINALLY, we got in. *WARNING* *BLURRY PHOTOS AHEAD* OMG THIS PLACE IS NICE! Really blurry ...Ok, lets try this again. Much better. The guy was extremely talented. I really knew how to play the organ. He was playing Pirate themed songs, of course, but that's fine. He was great. OH MY GOSH! HE'S SINKING INTO THE FLOOR! NOOOOOOO!!!!! Ok...so they had an awesome pre-show...and then...we watched the movie! The movie itself was great. I really enjoyed it. They had an EPIC battle at the end... One piece of advice; stay after the credits. There's something there. After the movie, on the bus ride home, we were driving through Hollywood, and we decided to have a contest on how many prostitute-looking people we can spot out. Our friend won... Anyway, thanks for reading! -Mike
  13. I wish they would've just sold the ride...we could possible get a better coaster in it's place...
  14. This is pretty much what happened with California Screamin'....thank God it wasn't anything serious. -Mike
  15. http://flickr.com/photos/undereachsnare92/ http://gman962.deviantart.com/ Well, not all of them are photography. Although even though some of them don't seems like photography, they actually came out kinda ince, color wise, in my opinion. -Mike
  16. New phone. LG VX8300 off of eBay. 162.73.
  17. ^Night hits! ...and bushes, trees, roofs, etc. -Mike
  18. ^People have gotten physically restrained by the police, actually. Well...as for the others, it doesn't count for public transportation, resuraunts, etc. so I think you're safe there.
  19. ^My friend is actually starting to kinda organize a club for it, and they're going to do some competitions of their own.
  20. Great update, Robb! Oh, and another thing... Is it me, or does the guy in the background look like "Oh no you di-int!" and at the same time, like he wants to shoot you for flashing the camera?
  21. Hahahaha, nice TR! All of the KidTums, and signature shot captions are hilarious. If you're still there...have a good rest of your trip! -Mike
  22. Get a life poo-poo head. Oh, that's so nice. You should be given a prize. Anyway, this doesn't seem THAT big of a surprise. When you think about it, there really wasn't much they could do to expand the roller without doing some major changes to the ride. I mean, come on. Picture it this way: There's really not much you can do to expand it without making some major changes to the ride. Now I notice that the current support doesn't look like it would handle it very well, but who knows. If they did expand the roll, they would probably have to change ALL supports, rip out the canyon, pour new footers, etc. I mean, they're trying to get the ride open. you could give them that much, at least. My point is that it's the easier, fastest way to get the ride open. It's also probably the safest. -Mike
  23. Yes...you heard me. Street wars. A city-wide battle. A challenge of nerves, wits, and...WATER! What do you mean, water? Read this: Original site: http://streetwars.net Basically, it's a city-wide water gun battle. The last dry person standing wins the game. Here's a quote from the Myspace bulletin that I got this from: This game seems very interesting, and even fun. I'll probably have to try it, when I'm 18. (Must be 18 to play) There are also some news reports/videos released from the site that show how you play, how one wins, etc. I doubt anybody here has actually played it, but it seems really interesting. They've been doing it from two years now. If you have played it, you should tell us how it is! It seems intense. If anybody is going to play, they should post TR's of their "hits"! It'd be really interesting. -Mike
  24. ^Did you not read the first 25 or so pages? We had a huge debate over that! Who cares?! It's not a B&M!
