I agree, thise two west coast losses really don't mean anything in the spectrum of the long season. I realize Cleveland is nipping at eh C's heels, but both of then aren't going to win 65-70 games.

Ok, just got GHWT for Christmas on the Wii. I started playing and every now and then the blue would not register on my guitar. Its a brand new guitar. Has this happened to anyone? Is there a fix for it?

"Tribe-like?" Wow, if that's really the case, then I'm gonna have to give this a listen. The Low End Theory is still one of my Top 5 rap albums of all time. If his new stuff is anywhere near old school Tribe, then I'm all over it. There are a bunch of songs on it that have the jazz overtones in with the beat. None of it is like Vivrant Thing or Breathe and Stop. Search for Getting Up or Move on youtube. I love the Low End Theory, I bust it out everynow and then.

^ I kind of like it, but it so different than what John Legend normally does. I also kind of loathe it because John Legend is trying to go mainstream now. He was never about having the club hit or a number one single. He used to be about good R&B, not the same stuff everyone else is doing, which is pretty much what his new album is.

My favorite album of the year? I'll probably get a ton of crap for it, but my favorite this year is Q-Tip's The Rennaisance. He takes it back to his Tribe Called Quest days and it is true hip hop. Its what is needed after a year when everyone was releasing garbage for rap.

Not sure if IMDB is 100% reliable, but it has him on there. I don't have my G.I. Joe comics anymore, but I do still have the cartoon DVD's. I'll more than likely see it with low expectations since I was such a huge fan and I just saw that the guy who directed Van Helsing directed this. *GASP*

Is it a debate on which one is a bigger letdown? Or the biggest maintenance nightmare?

I was wanting to see that, then I saw Marlon Wayans was going to be Ripcord and Brendan Fraser is going to be Gung-Ho. Plus Cobra Commander is the kis who played the lead in 10 Things I hate About You. I really think they did a horrible job casting this movie.

The Day The Earth Stood Still - I now know why they call this movie a "disaster" movie. The whole thing just seemed pointless to me. I get the message they were trying to convey about how we are destroying the Earth and don't care. The way this movie was put together just sucked. If you are looking for a movie filled with awesome special effects, just watch the trailer. That pretty much shows all of them. The whole movie is basically the 3 main characters running around the woods trying to avoid the authorites while they try to convince the alien they can change. The movie was extremely slow and then the ending just topped it off. Thank god I didn't pay for this movie. On another note, the trailer for the new Wolverine movie was before it. That was the only highlight of my trip to the theater. This movie looks seriously bad ass. Only problem is they do have a stunt that is just way over the top in the trailer. Just watch the trailer and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

^ Whoops I meant 5. I know you can't win a division, still used to only 3 divisions I guess. But if the playoffs were to start today, the Colts would play the Jets, who are reeling. Personally I think the Jets are way overrated, so that would be a great matchup for the Colts.

^ Judging by that schedule, you are a Colts fan. They will definitely make the playoffs and will probably be the 4 seed sitting at least 11-5. The only thing that would worry me about the Colts is they still can't run the ball very well. Peyton will see much better defenses than the ones that he has put good numbers up against lately.

I totally agree with anything's possible. My only thing about Jurassic Park is how many more different things can you come up with involving dinosaurs and humans? At least with Batman he has many villians that movies can be built around.

Wow, you mean Hollywood decided to play this one right instead of making a another crappy sequel? I guess they couldn't come up with something less believable than raptors not shredding humans apart because one of them has a raptor egg. That ruined JPIII for me.

I saw him live as the second act for the Foo Fighters in February. It was ok, I thought a lot of the songs he did sounded the same. I'm not a big fan of the band that is playing for him either. They didn't show much energy and he kind of just stood at the mic the whole time, except when he went and played the piano.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was underwhelmed by Rupp. Steve, I just looked into tickets for the Miami game at Cameron Indoor....cheapest I found was about $350 each - OUCH! The Canes are definitely one of those teams that could sneak up and bite you, but they're also pretty one dimensional. Without a strong inside presence, I don't give them a great chance of anything unless they're hitting from the outside. Well that should make the games pretty evenly matched then. I've nicknamed our so-called big presence in the middle "The Big Goof." Zoubek is just too clumsy around the rim. Hopefully Miami didn't watch the Michigan game and play a 1-3-1 all game. Duke had no clue how to attack it. How the heck do you expect to win when you launch 33 3's? My wife looked into a non conference game at Cameron for Christmas once, and those were about 200 a pop. I love Cameron, but its so small that tickets get driven way up. Maybe I should spend the 30,000 or so a year so I can be a student and get in free.

Awesome report Beemerboy! I am a huge college basketball fan. I totally agree with you about seeing Rupp Arena. When I saw the pic, all I thought was that's it? All the freaking tradition and pagentry of UK basketball and that's what you came up with? As for Miami, I think they are a dangerous team this year. I'm a Duke fan, and McClinton and Co. scare me in the ACC. I'm surprised he didn't get suspended after he slapped that guy last week for no reason. Good luck this season, except for when the Blue Devils play them.

I'm not sure why people hate Kanye so much. Sure he's a little nuts and egotistical, but other than this album he is one of the only ones left true to hip-hop. He has some of the best lyrics out there. He's not doing what all the other rappers of this generation are doing and just making club hits. I think everyone should really listen to The College Dropout or Late Registration. The messages on there are great, and a throwback to hip-hop days of old. For those who love old school hip-hop, check out Q-Tip's album the Renaissance that dropped the beginning of November. He goes back to his Tribe Called Quest days. It is a breath of fresh air with all the other garbage that's out.

Yeah the Simmons article really had me wondering about Byron Scott now. The Nets did revolt on him even after he led them deep in the playoffs. Is anyone else tired of the LeBron saga with him becoming a FA in 2 freaking years? Who cares right now what he might do in 2 years. Who knows, maybe the Cavs pull out a title the next 2 years and this whole conversation becomes moot. The Kncks fans would be irate if they have to sit through 2 horrible seasons hoping to land him and he stays.
