  1. Walibi Belgium to the rescue!
  2. ^I imagine most of them will piss through their money like MC Hammer. Speaking of Jersey Shore, tonight's episode looks amazing.
  3. Good. If they buy one, then Erik might finally get to leave Singapore.
  4. How do you get a ballot for the GTA? I'm as guilty as the rest of us of bashing the GTA, but I've never bothered to try to get a ballot.
  5. Our home machine will be an iMac after Christmas. I'll give Liz this Win7 laptop and toss her horrible Acer netbook into the Ohio River. Even though I've had few problems, I'll be using Win7 for just a few more months because I like the Mac hardware and OS more. I'm no Steve Jobs fanboy, but I was a HUGE fanboy of FreeBSD before Jordan Hubbard went to Apple. Most of my work cohorts have already made the switch. I feel late to the party.
  6. ^I'd *love* to have an Intamin woodie just 100 miles away. But does $20 million buy an Intamin woodie and the water park expansion? The water park expansion gives the park a lot of "bang" for the buck. Zoombezi Bay is doing great in Columbus, another medium-sized city sandwiched between a few well-established amusement parks. I'd be more likely to make the drive for a coaster addition, but that's just one coaster enthusiast (read: minority customer) talking.
  7. ^Process Explorer will show you all kinds of groovy things that standard Task Manager will not, like hidden malware processes. Though I highly doubt you have three infected machines that happen to be Win7.
  8. I can't say I've had many major problems with Windows 7. I do get a few application hangs every now and then, but nothing horrible. In my experience, Firefox is less stable in general than Win7. I still run XP at work, but really should not. We're going to be using IPv6 more and more VERY soon and XP only has "experimental" IPv6 support. We're down to the last 5% of the IPv4 address space. It's time to start switching over to software and hardware that supports IPv6 NOW because one day you're just going to wake up and your ISP won't have any more IPv4 addresses to assign/lease to you.
  9. You can in Germany. I saw one of the groupers on Blue Fire at Europa Park literally banging his fist on the top of a trash can telling the guests to hurry the hell up and get into their assigned rows. Is it any wonder why Europa has the best operations in the world?
  10. "Sleeping with a quartz rock under your pillow."
  11. I think iSpeed with the Blue Fire restraints would be a serious contender for #1 steel. As it stands now, I like Katun slightly more. But I really can't think of any park in Europe with a 1-2 coaster punch that can equal Mirabilandia. Any ideas anyone?
  12. Kings Island used to run late season promotions where they'd let you in for the rest of the season if you bought a pass for the following year. Not really a big deal if they do it later on in the season when it's not that busy anyway. I don't remember if this included parking passes as well though.
  13. I heard the Silver Surfer is a lousy tipper.
  14. Yeah, I think that's just the way the human brain is wired. No matter how good something is, you eventually get bored. That's why some restaurants feature those "chef's tasting menus" of several different courses. Variety cures boredom.
  15. Obviously, those big boy seats would have to cost extra since it would mean that the airline could squeeze less seats into the plane. Another solution would be for the fatties to pay extra to the person whose seat they're spilling over into. For example, if you're in the side of the plane where there are only two seats next to each other, they could raise the arm rest and the fatty could pay the adjacent passenger say, $100, for the inconvenience of having their seat invaded. If it was a short flight, like two hours, I'd gladly take the $100. For a longer flight though, forget it.
  16. Hey, that didn't stop Dubai! Oh, wait...
  17. I love this show! I can't wait for JWoWW to kick Sammi's ass because the Sammi and Ronnie thing just brings the whole show down. It's time for that whiny bring down to get smacked up.
  18. Yeah, I do care about the quality of the food I eat. But I don't like the label of "organic" because it does not guarantee quality. For example, if you buy tomatoes at the grocery store, they're going to be crappy, plastic, flavorless grocery store tomatoes. I don't care if they're organic or not. They suck. You need to get the stuff that's grown in someone's garden to get "real" tomatoes.
  19. ^Yeah, that's not necessarily a good thing considering they stereotypically tie up tables for hours and tip insanely cheaply.
  20. ^It's interesting that journalists are held to such a low standard now that people don't even expect them to get rudimentary facts about the topics they're covering right. Maybe newspapers can start writing their stories in Textese. Because editors cost money and stuff. LOL.
  21. ^Don't worry. I'm sure Knott's will find a way to make theirs uglier.
  22. ^C'mon, Paula. We're not all sending gravy-stained nastygrams to TV producers.
  23. I wonder if this is just housecleaning to get rid of the last vestiges of the Snyder/Shapiro regime. I've got to say this firing shocks me considering how well Jay did with SFMM.
  24. It could make for some funny confusion with the GP though. I look forward to overhearing the GP at KI talk about how they have the same ride at CP except 500 feet tall.
