Celebrities and Athletes you've met...
black sabbath replied to SixFlagsTexas's topic in Random, Random, Random
I work in a busy grocery store near two of our countrys finest resorts and we often see celebrities and famous people of all types from around the world. Although the only ones I've personally rang up were Tiger Woods and Richard Dreyfuss.. Causes complete chaos whenever there are sightings. -
Gas Prices where you live
black sabbath replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
We just got past the "3"s again around where I live.. $3.19 around here. Still not as bad as the 4.95 I paid last summer. I Hope it goes back down. -
^ Agreed, Philly's is so bomb! There is one right by my house in Oceanside.. Never knew there was one by Knott's, good to know for the next time Im in the area!

I have yet to try it, I noticed it the other day at the store and almost bought it. I remember hearing back when they did the switch from using real cane sugar to high fructose corn syrup, both Pepsi and Coke claimed there were absolutely no differences. From what I have been hearing and reading on here, there is a very noticeable difference! But all they care about is $$$.

I HATE my job and really want to quit. Too bad the lame-o economy means there isn't a decent new job to be found, so I gave up my search. I decided to tough out the BS of my current job til things get a little better, But I don't know if I can last too much longer!!

Tribal is totally meaningless to 99.9% of those who get them. My girl works at a Tattoo shop, so Im always down there, and Tribal mainly goes to those that have no clue what they want and just don't care. Most artists Ive met HATE Tribal tattoos, they rather fill their portfolios with more meaningful tattoos of other styles. Anyway I love tattoos on Men and Women I think people look so hot with them. I wish our society would get over all the negative views of tattoos, Its discrimination IMO. I have traditional style full sleeves on both arms and love them.

I work in a grocery store with a weekly customer count of over 28,000 so I really see it all in there, and its really starting to bug me how many people are wearing Ed Hardy T-shirts now...AND they dont have any tattoos at all! I question if they even know who he was. I've got a lot of Tattoo work done on my body and I don't even have any of his shirts. I cannot believe somebody would pay $70+ for a Tee anyway. I know from working in the textile industry that a regular T-shirt cannot cost more than $1.50 plus around $1-5 in ink, so somebody is seriously rakin' in the cash. My artist, friends and I make fun of people we see wearing them, they just don't get it. His work got sold out, and all of a sudden it seems to have become trendy for people that don't have any tattoos at all to wear Ed Hardy shirts. He was a great artist but I hate what happened to his work. I think its more of a cop out for people too scared to get tatted and get a REAL tattoo!

I'm currently single and do enjoy it to an extent. It definitely has its ups and downs, and can be a lot of fun. Although I have to say I REALLY miss my ex and would get back together again in a heartbeat.

A Sonic is being built about 8 miles from my house, I am so stoked! Can't wait as the closest one currently is almost 70 miles away! Im worried about the gangs ruining it for everyone though, they had to close down our previous local one due to gangs and riots... Anyway for my favorites: Jack in the Box, McDonald's, In N Out are at the top for me.

Haha, two words: chick repellent.

I have a tongue piercing and I love it! In the beginning it was a tough piercing to have, because it was hard to deal with the swelling and the difficulty eating and talking. Now that I'm used to it, I hardly realize it's there. I also want to get glass plugs in my ears but I know work would throw a fit.

Shadow of the Colossus and Other Video Games
black sabbath replied to Teddymonster's topic in Random, Random, Random
Yeah, I just got the Shadow of the Collosus demo 2 weeks ago and it sure is a difficult game. It is pretty frustrating. -
^ Yeah sort of, the red one (or w/e color) has always been on the transfer but it was actually earlier this year they moved the yellow train from the High Sierra Territory Station and the blue train from Samurai Summit to the transfer tracks. I really hope they reopen Metro, I have always wanted to ride it. The ride also must be operable since they did move the trains this year. About the coaster's length, I really don't see this going anywhere past 4000 ft. long it also may get uncomfortable after that long anyway.

I like Sams Club better just slightly. Sams Club is just not as bad as many people like to believe, plus its basically the same thing as Cost co but without the crazy crowds (atleast around here).

Even though I never went there, I am sad to hear this. The park has a lot of history in it and lot's of potential in such a large market. But it's not such a bad thing, maybe Frontier City, SFDL, Enchanted Village and a few other parks will get their much needed rides/coasters, plus they will make all that money selling the land. I am just sad to hear that a park is closing, no matter what shape it was in.
