I'm glad I'm not the only "Non-Breakfast" person out there. I'm still in awe that you've lost this much weight already, keep it up! Elissa your post made me laugh for about 5 minutes...ok maybe like 1
-
Congrats Robb! Honestly, I did not think someone could lose that much weight this fast!

SeaWorld Hawaii |RCT3|

Dude, this park is sweet! Makes me want to play RCT again. -
Stereotypes are a HUGE part of high school. My high school can be summed up by the movie Mean Girls, with some exceptions. I don't really have a problem with people labeling me, because I'm guilty of it myself. I don't normally let someone's stereotype affect my opinion of them though. I've been called scene, and I'll own up to it. I have friends from so many different stereotypes though, I hate when people won't give people a chance if they don't dress like them.

Well if you can get over that it would really be a great way to exercise! I'm not sure if you're the type to listen to music for entertainment, but I’m pretty sure they have water proof iPod cases now. When I swim it's my "thinking time", whether I'm thinking creatively or going over how good/bad my day was, it's quite distracting to 'think to yourself'. Or maybe start bringing KT to the pool, while Elissa is teaching her to swim you can swim a few laps, stop, and repeat. Just throwing out a few ideas because as much as I hate swimming, it really keeps me in shape.

I may be able to help out a little. I'm not sure if you ever took swim lesson when you were a kid, but swimming laps is a great way to lose weight. Many people find it a lot "easier" than running, unless you get into competitive levels. I'm not going to go into the whole 'eating right' thing because it's different for everyone. A lot of people can eat what they want, and still not gain weight. Good luck! Maybe some Samurai Summit runs would help out too! That's a bold combination! IMO, nothing in the world can make Spaghetti-O's appetizing. -

Interesting concept, I like it! I really like the CobraRoll-esque inversion. -

Tallest Ferris Wheel for Beijing 2008
thefitness replied to thomas2's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^I was also trying to figure it out. Just a guess, but I think it uses a moving pathway. Like how guests load the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom. -
Very funny…but not really. And yes, a forthree model, check out the Toyota IQ concept, and you'll know what I'm talking about. In my personal opinion Scions are hideous, so I'd rather not drive one. I've been learning on a Ford Expedition, and I absolutely hate it. I suck at parking big cars, you have to fill up on gas every two days, and I don't need that much space! I have listened to what everyone has said, but I'm a stubborn person and I stick to what I like. Someone saying “That’s an ugly car, don’t get it” won’t change my mind.

Didn't you know it was a requirement for all SUV drivers? I agree, accidents in any aspect of life are learning experiences. I need some driving time under my belt to become "experienced", but just about anyone can be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Right now the only flaw, in my opinion of the Smartcar is it only seats two people. If they had a ForThree model, it would be perfect!

Help With Career Planning In College
thefitness replied to BeemerBoy's topic in Random, Random, Random
You're a lot closer to having a career than me, but here is my two cents. In any way possible within reason, get your foot in the door! Before you can do that you need to decide exactly what it is you want to do. My "Dream Job" is to be on the Universal Orlando Creative Design Team. The more information I get, and the more I talk with the current members on the Team, the more it feels less like my "Dream Job" and more like reality. Did you post a similar thread on the Vault? -
BeemerBoy,Good point! I'm not sure if I've gone into this in this thread, but bigger does not always mean safer. Cameron, I'm not sure why everyone seems to think the instant I get this car I will crash it. Unlike most teens, I'm pretty responsible. I've taken Drivers Ed, and I am currently taking private driving classes so we can lower the insurance a little! I'm not saying I won't have an accident at all, but Smartcar does not equal instant death! Soren, I believe the Smartcars have been overseas for quite some time. I can't believe they haven't come to the US sooner! There are a few random ones that people have had imported though.

Boardwalk Bullet - Photos & POV Video!
thefitness replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Dude, Boardwalk Bullet looks insane! The video is awesome, and was super smooth. -
THANK YOU! I don't care if people think it's ugly, because I like it. It's a practical car for me. Several people have been listing why they wouldn't want one, and why I shouldn't get it. If I am serious about getting a car, I've obviously done my research! It may be impractical for some, but it’s just about the perfect car for me. Yes, a car that is on sale for anyone to buy will obviously not be unique. It is unique compared to other cars out on the market though. If you rely on your car to meet girls...you’re in trouble. What's wrong with "treehuggers"? Being conscious of the environment is not a bad thing.
-
Haha, that's true. This is just a car I really like, and I probably won't end up getting(but would really like to!). As you said I've never had a car before, I have no idea what to expect from any car. If I actually get a Smartcar I'll be sure to let everyone know so you guys can tell me how stupid, ugly, and unsafe it is! I'd rather have a Toyota IQ, but unfortunately they are only in the concept stage.
-
^^It does look like that toy car! That's what I like about it, it's not your everyday car. It's different, and a lot of people will see different as ugly, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Is there anyone that actually likes it?
-
I'll let you know if I get one, so you can watch for me on the news then!
-
I will not be driving interstate, as I said earlier. I do agree, by looking at the car it looks like a deathtrap. If you read about the design of the car, then you'll see where I'm coming from. I’m not saying it’s the safest car in the world either.
