  1. ^I am really hoping they go with something super soft and supportive like a Flyer restraint. The last thing I want to feel on this ride is that I am going to break a collar bone or fall out. lol This ride truly looks terrifying. Also, take this with a grain of salt but, while at Howl-O-Scream on Thursday night I asked one of the ride ops at Gwazi what the fate of the ride was, and he told me they expected to demolish it in the spring (May2014). He also went on to speculate that the replacement would be hyper coaster. So its a stretch I know, but interesting non the less. On the plus side, Gwazi was running slightly better than the past year. NOT GOOD or enjoyable but better than my last ride. All the steel coasters seemed to be running at their peak. Had maybe one of the best rides on Kumba ever. Back row in the dark, cold air, running super smooth and forceful. Still my favorite coaster.
  2. Very tough call. I think SDC has the better coasters with Outlaw Run just putting everything to shame. Dollywood has some great coasters though. (Tennessee Tornado and Thunderhead being the best IMO) One detractor from SDC was their Trailblazer pass, they should really go ahead and get the Q-bots that Dollywood has. I would also say I prefer Eastern Tennessee over Southwest Missouri, but seeing as that is not the question. I would go with Silver Dollar City.
  3. Went by this morning and a few more pieces have arrived. I'm assuming the yellow will be the base of the tower, with the brown\gold piece joining into the base. Just a guess. Anyone seen these towers constructed before? Anyway, enjoy! What I am guessing will be the base of the tower. Closer view of one of the new pieces. I am assuming these are for the top of the tower.
  4. Was at Howl-O-Scream last night and noticed some bright flood lights on in the parking lot adjacent Adventure Island. So upon investigation I noticed some rather large green tubes. Falcons Fury has arrived! Went by this morning with the good camera and got some photos. So...enjoy! Not sure if green will be the bottom of the tower or the top. Large columns They are about to lift this off the flatbed... ...BAM! On the ground
  5. Wow, I am ashamed to say that I never noticed that they had a mirror image clone (dropped to the right). So this one, Goliath at SFFT, and Vampire at La Ronde are the only 3 that are mirror images? Some small detail just blew my mind. Thanks!
  6. Well said and I think you hit the nail on the head. Been to Atlanta many times but have never bothered with a smaller waterpark north of town. But I have made the jump out to Six Flags on every one of those visits. Makes more sense to consolidate your offerings.
  7. What about a Eurofighter? Dare Devil Dive style. Would be an extreme drop (over 90 degrees). Just a thought.
  8. At the park today. Right at opening they tested a train with water dummies. But that was only once from what I've seen. Hope that's a good sign for your WCB. Not for me though.
  9. Anyone know the status of Xcelerator? Heard it may be up over the weekend. Going tomorrow.
  10. ^^ How are Green Latern and DDD low quality?
  11. Exactly. Skull island is always busy, plus it would be really cool to see them use that hillside back there for some slides.
  12. My guess is expanding/creating a larger waterpark.
  13. I was thinking more like just a wing rider train...suspended.
  14. ^^Pretty sure I threw that same idea out there like 2 days ago.
  15. I guess I'll be that nerd :-/ The stone on the left may mean: Beware the enemy within. The one on the right may mean: There's no place like home. Middle one may mean: The quiet are guilty http://www.compassrose.org/folklore/irish/Irish-Proverbs-Gaelic.html
  16. What about an inverted wing train? That would be a worlds first. Would also explain that drawn out inline inversion. Just a thought.
  17. So planning a SOCAL trip the week of August 13-20. My question about MM is which day of the week is best during the summer? Does it even matter? Second, I will for sure be getting the Platinum FlashPass and was wondering how they are working that with Full Throttle and X2?
  18. Wasn't the planning permission for the new tower supposed to be over 300 feet? Wouldn't be upset about a used Intamin tower, but really hoping we get something newer and unique.
  19. I'm sure the ride will be great but man it would have been awesome to see them use the entire lot of cleared land. Seems like a waste.
  20. So, plan on going to SFOT this weekend Saturday and possibly Friday night. Any idea what the crowds will be like? Also, whats the best plan of attack? Im more than willing to get a Flash Pass.
  21. Found some photos on their twitter page. Was this just for the Dino? http://via.me/-b7h37ne#!/-b7dse8k
  22. Thanks for the info! I saw that a few pages back and think it made me even more confused. I will be there MAY 16th-19th. THUR-SUN. Hopefully we will not need a Flash Pass.
  23. Quick question to all you SFOT locals. I am visiting in MAY and have always used the Flash Pass when visiting a Six Flags park. On the SFOT Flash Pass web page it does not list NTAG as one of the rides offered: (https://www.sixflags.com/overTexas/tickets/flashpass.aspx) but on the NTAG page it says that Flash Pass is offered: (https://www.sixflags.com/overTexas/rides/TexasGiant.aspx) Can someone explain? Thanks!
