  1. Martha - Tom Waits
  2. ^ That's really fast Today, I bought a lot of running gear so that I'm prepared for the cold running evenings. I bought - yellow Brooks 'run in the dark' jacket. Finally I'm getting rid of those those stupid reflecting armbands. - Ipod nano/Nike air+ wireless sport kit. I'm very excited about this. If it'll do what it promises, I'll be very, very happy. - Nike/Ipod armband. To hold my Ipod + sport kit. - Odlo underwear t-shirt, suitable for - 10°C temperatures. I wish my wife is wearing this. It's damn sexy - Acics long sleeves t-shirt. Same ! Too bad I only bought all this stuff after I went running this morning. As I'm participating in a race on Monday evening, I'm not running tomorrow. I want to try out my Ipod sports kit but this will have to wait till Wednesday evening I'm afraid.

  4. I'll be there too on 31.10 and 1.11. It's great. Take a look at my TR of the event from a few years ago : www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39658&highlight=photo, and you'll know what to expect. PA doesn't really expand nor make big changes to their Halloween event so it will be about the same this year.
  5. Great pictures. 4 hours ago I was still in MPG. Since I was with my kids, we didn't stay too late, nor did we do all mazes. The Horror Fest scarezones are so awesome. The also have more mazes than ever when I took a look at the event map.
  6. Mad World - Gary Jules
  7. Finally I don't regret we flew into SFO because I really enjoyed that day in San Francisco. It's a pitty we didn't get a picture of the 2 taxi's we took and especially their drivers : first the crazy, GTA limo driver and secondly the Vietnamese female driver. I'm still laughing when I think about the conversation you had with her about New York : Hans : 'You know that the Netherlands founded New York ?" She : 'Oh, you discovered NY ?" Hans : 'No, we founded NY'. She : 'Yes, you found NY. You discovered NY'. Hans : 'Yeah, we found NY ....' Looking forward to the updates Hans.
  8. ^Same here. I'm hardly interested in any sport but I really like to run. 10 days ago I competed in company marathon (teams of 6 people run the marathon distance) in Brussels. It was my first competion in 5-6 years but I really liked it. Next Monday I'm already running my next one (10 km).
  9. Panic - The Smiths
  10. My homepage is TPR
  11. The Departed : 10/10 Rewatched this movie and it's still great. The cast is great and especially Jack Nickolson is so awesome. I also loved the plot and for sure when Matt Damon is saying 'okay' just before he's being shot.
  12. I'm stilling playing but it's get boring after level 11 or something when you have to book the tours. I also noticed I can't expand the park or parking lot anymore because I don't have enough friends playing it.
  13. Landslide - Fleetwood Mac
  14. Great pictures. I visited my first German funfair end last year in Hamburg while I was there for work. I was a flash visit but I was able to ride Olympia Looping so that was worth the visit.
  15. So what started as a day visit to De Efteling next Thursday, ends up to be a 4 day trip to De Efteling, Moviepark Germany, CentrO (+ shopping) and Phantasialand . I hardly took any days off from work this year without going on holiday
  16. 10 million Euro. So no B&M Water ? I hope it isn't a Splash Battle. Anything they'll built will be good in my opinion. I more or less consider Toverland as my 'homepark' although there are several parks closer to where I live.
  17. ^I don't believe TPR has a negative reputation. To the contrary. Almost at every park on the WCT, we were told how much they liked our group. Personally, I don't like being linejumped but I don't think I've ever complained about it. But if somebody makes a remark about that to the ride-op, you wouldn't expect him telling the linejumpers something like that. We did get 'briefings' on the busride to every park, but even then, I can assure you that most of us, if not everybody, was very excited to be at the park, equally as we were at every other park. And I mean excited in a relaxed way. Although the schedule looked very tight on paper, I was surprised how relaxed everybody on the trip was at the parks. I didn't experience any employees yelling at me or being rude at Knott's (nor at any other park on the trip) but I indeed witnessed some horrible park operations at Knott's. Sorry if you don't like to hear that. P.S. Great update Jason.
  18. The fixer - Pearl Jam
  19. If weather permits, De Efteling on Thursday
  20. Day 2, part 2 : Europark. I obviously took lots of pictures at Europark so there will be 4 updates in total for Europark. From me that is, Hans will add his pics aswell to this thread as you know by now. My updates will be : 1. Afternoon visit day 2 with focus on Blue Fire 2. Evening/morning at the hotels 3. Day 3 visit with pics of most of the rides 4. 'Baby makes here blue jeans talk' poll. Europark is SO awesome. It's really one of my favorite parks in the world. Anecdote : my boss at work, knowing that I'm frequently visiting themeparks, asked me in the beginning of the year where he should go to with his wife and 11 year old daughter. I recommended him Europapark and I so scored points . They totally loved it and wondered why almost nobody here in Belgium knows this awesome themepark. Next update : Europapark Hotels. The most awesome hotels in the world IMO. On our way to the hotel. Well, we only saved about 10 minutes by using the single riders line, while it could have been 60 minutes. But the ride on Blue Fire was really, really awesome. It's such a nice coaster and ride. I would really be very surprised if Mack doesn't sell a bunch of it in the coming years. Almost there. After 45 to 50 minutes waiting, there was a single riders line. Why, and I mean WHY, isn't that line right at the entrance of the waiting row ???? View from the waiting row. Right below the flag on the Castillo Hotel, we would drink lots of vodka later in the evening ) Loopy-di-loop. When you don't put your hands up during the ride, your heartbeat is measured constantly during the ride and shown on a display in front of you. Mine was about 70 before the launch and about 80 after the ride. No idea what is was during the ride, so you know where my hands were 1 hour wait = ample time to take pictures. Great 'hang' element. Take the rocks (tunnel). But we really wanted to ride Blue Fire so we started to wait. Waiting row at 7 pm was still 1 hour. But it won't be anymore next year as they are building a splash battle in between. Blue Fire is next to Atlantica Blue Fire store The Iceland theming is really great. The merchandise wasn't. The launch It looks like airtime Big loop Blue Fire !!! Park closing was approaching so we headed over to the back of the park to ride Blue Fire. Going through Scandinavia. It's such a great ride. Poseidon and Silver Star. Yeeeeeeaaaaahhhhh ..... and yeah baby !!! Yeeeeeeaaaaahhhhh !!!! (I'm sorry, but that's what I always think when waiting to ride Silver Star) Yeeeeeeaaaaahhhhh !!!! Yeeeeeeaaaaahhhhh !!!! Child friendly waiting area Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhh !!!!!!! The Stig Dogs are allowed at Europark. I still think it's weird. Euromaus Nice russian theming. Nevertheless, it's a great ride. Riding the last part backwards, always freaks me out and gets me sick a little bit. Piraten in Bavaria. Is it just me, or did they shorten the ride ? Also, there was a kind of Blue Lagoon/Bayou restaurant at the end of the ride now. Or my memory is letting me down, or it is new and the ride got shortened. Large legged Jack Sparrow Michael got soaked on it during a previous visit some years ago. As we didn't feel like getting drenched, we skipped the rafts. Bang ! And we're in the rafts.
  21. Day 8, part 1 : Knott's Last pic of Knott's. Skytowers are good, IF the windows are clean. I always think it's a good way to judge the maintenance at the park. The windows of the skytower of Seaworld were perfectly clean and so were they at SFMM. But the ones at Knott's were really dirty and you could hardly take a decent picture through the windows. Ghostrider. I can imagine it was awesome in the first years, but now it's too painfull to enjoy it. Skytower pics. Plunge again. Why the hell didn't I ride it ;-( This ride was actually surprisingly long, very long. Bullet in blue sky Peoplemover This part of the park I thought was very nicely themed. Pony again It's a credit And another one of the Plunge thing Some more Silver Bullet pics But there was Rockstar. As I was in the meantime used to get the rockstar treatment at the parks, it was time to drink Rockstar. Pony Express. Quite short and I actually don't remember much of it so it obviously didn't impress me. In any case, Boosterbike at Toverland is much better. Also, a motorbike accelerates, a pony doesn't. At least, I haven't seen one so far. It looks great and it probably is great, but I didn't ride it. They were running 1 boat. 1 (ONE) BOAT !!! I should have ridden it right after parkopening because later on the day, the row was about 1 hour all the time. I heard other TPR trippers who rode it, telling afterwards that the ride-ops were even racking up the people for the next boat BEFORE checking the restraints of the boat still in the station ((((((( How efficient can one be ?? ERT is awesome ! But Xcelerator was better. Silver Bullet is a great ride. Early arrival at Knott's for ERT on the B&M invert and Xcelerator
  22. Party tonight
