Photo TR: Natatomic does the West Coast Trip
Groteslurf replied to natatomic's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great update Natalie. Very funny as always. And don't worry, when posting my WCT TR, I mostly had rcdb.com open on another tabsheet to look up the coasternames because I also couldn't remember most names. -

It sure is. But watch out : Brussels is Flanders ! It's because of a lot of inhabitants are speaking french, that you might think it belongs to our french speaking neightbours (Wallonia), but it really isn't. Not that I'm a big fan of Brussels. I have to attend a gala dinner in Brussels related to work on Monday and I can't say I'm looking forward going there. Just because it's in Brussels The red part is Brussels. As you can see clearly in Flanders. -

Great pictures as usual. You often manage to capture some details I've never noticed before. -
Friday : Night of the Proms concert. It was one of the worst concerts ever. Saturday : running in the morning, internet in the afternoon, one of the best parties ever in the evening & night. Sunday : picking up the children at my parents in law, got my flue shot, drank some wine, internet, dinner and some vodka to finish the day.

I fully understand what you say and I apologize for what I wrote. This is already the second time on TPR that this happens to me. I should indeed be more grateful that I have a job. Sorry for that.

Great report and pictures. In all honesty, I'm 42 years old, have always lived in Belgium, and you have seen more of Brussels and Bruges than I ever did in 42 years time . -
I voted for photo 2. Don't know much about balancing etc. I just like that picture the most.

My last run was last Friday. I've been to Spain and there I guess I ate something bad and I had some stomache problems during the last few days. This evening I'll be going to the Night of the Proms but tomorrow I'll be definitely running again.

My final update of the trip. After a very long night at the Mille Miglia bar and a very short sleep, we left Europapark and headed home. On our way home however, there was still a last attraction waiting for us : the Fantasticable at Haybes Fumay, France. So what is a Fantasticable ? It's a cable and it is fantastic Watch following video, and you'll know what it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7IjXeo8m0k . There are several of those cables in 3 european countries : Portugal, Italy and France. More info on www.fantasticable.com/. The one we did is 1159 meters long, height difference 110 meters, and maximum speed 115 km/hour. On to the pictures and 2 videos including POV, I shot myself. I apologize for the quality of the pictures. After 3 days themeparks, my memorycards of my photocamera were full after I took 2 pictures at the fantasticable. So all the other pictures are framed from video and quality is really not good. Hopefully Hans will have some better pictures. And ..., if you didn't vote yet, vote now !!! One last pictures before the 2 videos in the next post. Wouldn't Hans fit great as a slasher in a Halloween maze ) Hey Hans. And Hans' impression of an Antonov. Filip coming down. And brake. The braking was in fact very soft and smooth. Nothing to be nervous about. The part I was in fact the most nervous for. Getting ready for the brakes. Move out of my way, PLEASE !!! Once between the trees, you realized how fast you were going. I liked flying And I'm flying. I'm ready. POV view. My turn Different angle Go !!! And then you're off. Before flying, the brakes are adjusted to your body weight. Then you get in fly position. First you get attached to the cable. Starting point. A small bus brought us to the starting point. The busride it self was already scaring. Brakes Flying Yes, it IS long. Over there, at the end of the cable, will be our starting point. Ticket. BTW, the Fantasticable is in Aventure Parc. Yeeaaahhh ! A cable that looks fantastic. My GPS didn't bring us to the place we needed to be, but after some short driving around, we found the way to the Fantasticable. -

To get this kind of info, if it's not mentioned on the websites of the parks, it will be best to send a mail to the parks. I remember having mailed PdA one concerning the opening date of Abismo and I got a mail back the next day. -
