Fleetwood Mac yesterday in Antwerp. The show was really very good. Loved the songs. Really loved Stevie Nicks' voice. Also loved Lindsay Buckingham's energy on stage and his guitar solos. Mr Fleetwood himself is just crazy but loved him too. Highlights : Landslide : Stevie Nicks' voice was SOOOO amazing Go you own way : because it's just an amazing song Big love : Lindsay Buckingham solo on accoustic guitar. I already had a few live versions of it on cd, but live .... it was probably the best live performance I ever saw. Oh Well : because how L.B. sung it. Tusk : I never really appreciated this song but live it really rocked Sarah : again because of S.N.' voice. One of the best concerts I've ever seen.

I went to an awesome Fleetwood Mac concert yesterday.

Yesterday I did a 10k race at the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. We had to run 4 rounds of 2.5k each, partly in Belgium, partly in the Netherlands. My time was 55:30 and I'm quite happy with that time, considering this was my first 10k race and especially considering that 20 months ago I couldn't even run 100 metres without almost fainting. The winners. It only took them about 29 minutes to finish the race. Another band Along the course, several bands were playing music in front of their house. This band was awesome. These guys ran the 5k in those clothes. Me behind the 'thumbs up' guy. I'm looking a bit weird to my right because I was looking at the raceclock to know my roundtime.

Day 9 : Disneyland & DCA Blurry shot of POTC, my last ride of day 9. Everybody getting ready for the fireworks. The ferris wheel was great fun too. Rafts Mega Monorail Giant whale vs ... The coaster, although not being a big thrill ride, was amazing. Much better than I expected it to be. I loved DCA. Although a lot of constructions were going on, it's a really beautiful park. So I was at DCA in the meanwhile. I thought this ride was also really awesome. That's right ! As said, the ride-op really made it a fun ride. The jokes were probably very standard on the ride, but it was really very funny. Jungle Cruise. I didn't expect much but the ride-op made it real fun. Best ride in the park. I admit I was tempted (usually I don't like to eat candy) I don't like to ride these, but I love to watch them. And another mountain. Damn I got wet when riding this front seat. Busted ! It was cool to visit the island on the lake. I thought this was the Captain Hook vessel like in DLP but the day after, it was actually sailing on the lake. Great view Last credit of the WCT for me. It's a pitty we didn't have ERT on this. Next mountain Next attraction Going into the dark The underwater scenes are very nicely done I'm glad I didn't have to wait for this, but I'm also glad I rode it. Hans' ritual of touching the attraction he's about to do. Space Mountain But it was ok. We managed to do about 10 rides before 830 h. And yes, the castle is tiny. It looks like a lot of people were thinking the same. At 6:45 am we were already looking at this. -

Continuation of De Efteling Next update : Efteling Hotel On our way to the hotel, my daughters rerode this. Radja River 10 minutes wait. This is the shortest wait I've ever seen for Bobbaan. Unfortunately, the ride broke when we wanted to enter the row so we skipped it. Yeah baby ! Small rant : there was a short wait because the ride-ops decided to load the boats like this. Time for Fata Morgana Pandadroom building Carrousel building Diorama But first, let's finish the fairy tail forrest Fata Morgana Main entrance building Something new is being built here aswell. Boob credit Sitting duck ... euh, I mean, shitting donkey. This story is written by our previous queen. God, I'm so proud !!! Hey you in the back .... get out of my picture ! Knock, knock ... When I was a kid, I loved to sit on those things too. And we're in the fairy tail forrest. White horse. Themed book Another one. This chap is the oldest one in the park and is celebrating his 50th aniversary this year. Droomvlucht The new showarena scheduled to open in 2011 will be built here. Droomvlucht. My favorite attraction at De Efteling. Villa Volta -
First we planned a dayvisit to De Efteling, then we wanted to make it a 4 day trip to De Efteling, MPG, CentrO and Phantasialand. But as for some reason all hotels near MPG & CentrO were full, the trip was shortened again to a 2 day trip. But I took lots of pictures during those 2 days so that this TR will consist out of 4 parts : 1. De Efteling 2. De Efteling hotel 3. Moviepark Germany 4. Horror Fest Traffic jam School Pov again Deforming mirrors See ? They love it. Brewery Yummy ! Bakery Burping and farting stair Land van Laaf Shop Teacups My youngest daughter really like it. Carnaval Festival Inside what probably is the smoothest Vekoma I know. Vogel Rok Honey, I'm leaving you. My daughters were allowed to do a walk-back. Pov. No, I don't want to ride you ... Take the tunnel ! It doesn't look like it, but you actually don't get wet at all. My wife and youngest daughter waiting for us. But now it was already shaking a bit. Not painful yet though. I remembered it to be a nice ride. It's been already a while since I rode De Vliegende Hollander. Actually it has been since the press opening that I rode it. My oldest daughter and I. While we were already in the station, they started loading the other side of the station aswell. Front of the boats. As they were only loading at one side of the station, there was a 10 minutes waiting row. Together with the 10 minutes row at Droomvlucht, those were the only lines we had to conquer during our visit. The waiting row is in fact the best part of the ride. Entering. The new duelling woodies will rise over there. De Vliegende Hollander Python. First ride of the day. Did I mention the park is beautiful ? As we entered the park at the other side of the park, it looked like we were the only ones in the park. De Efteling is really one of the most beautiful parks I've ever been to. There are about 10 of those things spread over the park and kids really like it and they pick up every piece of paper from the ground to throw it in those things. Cedar Fair, are you reading this ?? We entered the park through the special hotel entrance. My daughters started cleaning up the park immediately.

Day 2/3 : the Europapark hotels Bar Mille Miglia. If only we knew how awesome that bar is. We wouldn't have been to the Castillo bar the night before. I didn't have my camera with me when we went to this bar, but I can tell you, it was an amazing night. Picture taken from Atlantica. On our way to the park for 30 minutes hotel ERT I wanted to ride this ... Hotel Santa Isabel Hotels El Andaluz and Castillo Alcazar In front of the hotel. Also the breakfast buffet is excellent. The hallway to breakfast More lobby Lobby Inside the arch, the 4 most expensive suites are located. Lobby ceiling I still wonder why this hotel only has 4 stars. Maybe because not all rooms have AC ? Views from the room. After dinner we went to have a drink at the Castillo bar. This bar is quite small but nice. And a lovely, dutch bartendress was serving us. But we didn't stay up very late as the next morning some hotel ERT was waiting for us. But you can walk from the one hotel to the other one. This is the corridor to the Santa Isabel hotel. The first evening we had dinner at the Castillo Alcazar restaurant. And another pool. One of the swimming pools of the hotels. The buffet restaurants in the Europapark hotels must be the best themepark value for money dinners in the world. Food is excellent and the price is only 25 euro per adult. Filip usually drinks beer. So as we were drinking wine during dinner, he by mistake lifted up the carafe a few times in stead of the glass. Well, I admit, I did it too. And I hardly drink beer. We booked 2 nights at the Colosseo hotel because ...., we just because it's probably the greatest themepark hotel in the world. -
Shawshank Redemption : 10/10 It's been a few years since a last saw this movie but yesterday we finally had time to re-watch it. If someone asked me for my favorite movies, my list always included this movie and it will be in that list in the next years aswell. The story and plot are so great. I wish there are more movies like this.

Day 8, part 3 : DCA & Disneyland And another blurry one. I didn't stay very long at Disneyland as the next morning we would make use of our 'early bird' entrance to Disneyland Blurry shot On to Disneyland I was in any case very impressed by our evening visit to DCA. It's such a beautiful park. When we entered DCA, California Dreaming was playing and I wondered whether it was co-incidence or whether it was playing the whole day. As DCA was open till 9 pm and Disneyland till 12 pm, we still had time to visit those 2 parks in the evening. So on 1 day, we visited 4 different parks -

Day 8, part 2 : Adventure City Great !! Yeeaaaahaaaa ! Through the trees ... So is Josh Paul's happy too. Roxy's happy to ride the through the trees coaster. Josh doesn't know yet what will happen... Wild mouse of death. I doesn't happen regularly but when riding this coaster, I was hoping for some breaks. Part 2 of the day : Adventure City. -

Great pictures. Those pretzels are my favorite meals in German themeparks or funfairs : it's indeed a full meal and they are really cheap.
