  1. I love the 3D effects. I also bought a new camera with 3D a while ago but I'm still trying to figure out how I can get those 3D effects working.
  2. Amazing. This is a truly awesome story. Congrats on the weight loss !!!
  3. There's a light ... - The Smiths
  4. Sorry for the late reply. Only just noticed your question. We booked all hotels in advance, I actually don't remember the hotelchain we used but it's very easy to find hotels on certain hotel websites. For example, on the Day's Inn website you can search for hotels near themeparks and it's really working very well.
  5. Lunapark part II Another flatride Funhouse Credit nr 3 Ghost ride Flipper Booster You could win this here. But I'm sure it would cost you a lot before you win. I decided to wrap my kids airtight Some pics from the ferris wheel The Med Fjéjus down town. The waterpark Thanks for watching Like the sign says : it was Nice !!
  6. Last week, my kids, wife & me rented a villa in the South of France. I saw on the internet that there was actually a themepark in the same city as we stayed in but I couldn't find anything back anywhere on coaster nor themeparksites. By accident I saw a flyer of Lunapark in the supermarket, so the same evening I went to check it out. It turned out to be closed though but it didn't look like a dump so I assumed it would only be open in the evening and so it was. Lunapark website : www.lunapark-frejus.com/ It's actually only open during summer, so it's more of a funfair than a themepark I think, although it's there 3 months a year. First some pics of the villa we rented. Poolshower & toilet and bbq patio in the back My kids LOVED the swimmingpool Karate kid We also went a day to Cannes I assume this is the building where the yearly Festival of Cannes is taking place And we went for a day to St Tropez as you could have noticed on the kids' tshirts. Actually we bought those 2 'cheap' shirts to wear in the pool because the kids were sunburned the first days ok, time for Lunapark Next to Lunapark, there is a waterpark A nice selection of rides ... But since we had our own private swimmingpool, we didn't go to the waterpark Lunapark is a pay per ride 'park', so no ticketbooths at the entrance Skycoaster UFO YAY !!! There are even coasters Spinning mouse Crazy Mouse Ferris wheel Bumper boats Logflume Inflated fun Big Ben See ... 2nd credit Weird loop, weird painful Karting Wonder what this is .... It's a similutor shark !!!! Bumper cars Part II to follow.
  7. Larry, the Dippie Doe page is not linked properly I noticed. And don't know whether you want to take this up in the parkindex : Lunapark

  9. Last Sunday, we went with some friends to Toverland Our friends following us. It was their very first visit to Toverland. I convinced everybody to be at the park at opening time, so my daugther still had to catch up some sleep in the car Almost there yay !!!! YAY !!!!!!!!! I soooooo love Toverland. My youngest daughter with her friend and the Toverland mascotte I learned everybody in our group to ride the low capacity rides first. Our friends loved it Boosterbike Since my last visit, a few new rides arrived at the park. Landscaping in the Troy area is really stunning No lines all day long. Troy was running great Time for the new rides non riders riders Next new ride The girls loved it Animatronic Ride station I really love the Troy area Let's go indoor Playground We went for some more Troy after lunch Time to relax At least for us, not for my oldest daughter and our friend Sooooooo cute The sun started shining in the meanwhile so time for a waterride Not the best picture I've ever taken .... 11. 2 short video's of the concert http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEbq9HMJUOs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knIoJcRRsTc
  12. Main reason for our day out was the Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg concert in Tilburg that same evening. I've always been a fan of the Ramones and since MRB is the closest one can get to the Ramones, we didn't want to miss this concert. The singer is now the ex-Misfits leadsinger Michael Graves. It was still about 4 hours before the concert started when we arrived in Tilburg so a lot of time to eat and drink. The concerthall was rather small, which turned out to be excellent because the place was really packed and sold out. Great supportact. Don't remember the band's name though Where's Marky ? There he is ! Michael Graves Pogo all evening Last pictures; Thanks Hans for the great day
  13. After Billybird, we drove to Dippie Doe park, another small park near Eindhoven Entrance There is quite a large indoor area Mini bumper cars Mini breakdance Another kids ride Truckbaan Coaster :-) Drop tower There is a rainseat on this tower Minigolf Don't know what this is/was There's also a lot of water in this park, with waterski without a boat Tyfoon coaster More waterski It's really an ok coaster Noted The seats were a bit small but the ride was ok too Achtbaan The park is close to Eindhoven airport Thanks for reading and viewing. Next up : Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg
  14. Thanks for the comments. Sorry, no pictures from the nude beach. I don't think anyone was there either because the weather wasn't like summer should be. The park is indeed not in Belgium but in the north of the Netherlands, close to Eindhoven. The coaster must be custom designed, I didn't do my research though. But like Robin wrote, Hans explained me during our visit that it indeed a energy free coaster. That also why the exit is on the ground so that the lifthill doesn't have to pull cars with people in.
  15. Great TR Hans. It's been a very long time since I've rode that coaster. Looking forward to the pictures of the other 2 parks.
  16. I read on several sites now that Ryan Dunn is not dead. It was just a 'joke'
  17. Oh yeah, maybe I forgot to mention the most important thing about this themepark. At the topleft on the parkmap you see 'naaktstrand' mentioned. 'Naaktstrand' means 'nude beach' ..... this must be the only themepark in the world having a nude beach in the park
  18. Hi Larry, some more pictures for the Billybird park Hemelrijk in the index : www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1051182#p1051182
  19. Yesterday evening, Hans & me had tickets for the Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg show. Although the weather wasn't too promissing, we decided to hit 2 small nearby themeparks during the day. First, we went to Billybird Park Hemelrijk, for me the first themepark of 2011. Huge park entrance There is a lot of water in the park. In the back you already can see the reason why we visited this park. Giant climbing mountain Splash Survival ropes Entrance to the indoorsection Coaster More kiddie rides Due to the high winds, the coaster was still running test laps Too bad the wind only got stronger and the coaster didn't open. The station to get in is at the top of that tower. Splash battle The station to get out of the coaster. We decided to wait some longer for the weather to improve. And took some more random pictures We decided to go and check with the operator for the chances the coaster would still open. Unfortunately not much chance so we decided to leave for the next park. Ending with the parkmap
