  1. I kinda disagree. If the economy was good, I still think it would have failed. Looks to me that from all the negative comments, trip reports, pictures, etc... about the park, it just didn't have what it took to stay open. The concept was good, they just didn't do it very well. Which just goes to prove that a B&M is not a gauranteed success.
  2. As always, the best of the best! Happy New Year!!!!
  3. My first rides of the year are a toss-up. Being my 2008 was COASTERLESS. It's either going to be... Boomers:Dania Beach Hurricane OR USO:Rockit
  4. Zero problems here! Both played perfectly. Connection speed at 1814kbps.
  5. OK, after watching the videos, I'd say I was quite impressed. For a little compact coaster, this one looks like it gives a GREAT punch. Wow!
  6. I got a new client that will pay for everything that I didn't get on Christmas, and I got to party a lot for free this week. We need a drunk smiley in here somewhere!
  7. Merry Christmas Shane! Can't wait to see what you post in the new year!
  8. Crappy town! There's nothing for me to do on a Saturday night! I thought this was supposed to be a party town! Hmmm, I think you know better, we're the place to be That zipline is FIERCE!
  9. The forum video played flawless, the TPRTV videos play with a VERY SMALL lag. It only "skipped" once for me, very briefly, so it was probably my connection. One thing I have noticed lately, I use windows Vista and MSIE 7, and auto-update. Very recently, an update has caused a somewhat slight conflict with flash. (ie. flash doesn't act as it should, randomly crashing, or diconnecting connections, whether video or heavy animation.) I have absolutely no problems with FireFox.
  10. I got a chuckle out of this... This ride may be old, but they still manufacture it, and heck, there are tons of them on ride broker sites. Nice PTR, and yes, we all have posted pics backwards.
  11. I will refrain from making endless jokes about hunks and wood.
  12. Hey TPR! This is THE coolest thing since sliced bread. I know you guys are super busy, but I'd love to ask you some tech/behind-the-scenes questions about this. But on with my testing result. I uploaded a video (WMV format) and the conversion process was BLAZING FAST INSTANT! Playing video is also fast, awesome server response! Will play with it more later when I have time, but this is just sheer awesomeness.
  13. ^I have to agree. Thats why I never post there. Everything is a conspiracy to destroy their lives or something. Not to mention, they never post any "hot" news. P.S. They officially put the Bayern Kurve on the "New of 09" page at Kennywood.com.
  14. Galaxyland is not ghetto by any means, at least IMHO. I think it's quite a nice clean place, and well maintained. Now, you wanna talk ghetto, that would be Adventuredome.
  15. Works for me! Wonder if we're on the same host, my host migrated me to a new server yesterday, and is as lightning fast as this.
  16. I have to agree with every rant you had about the BCF. It really is one of the lamest fairs I've ever been to, and this year was no exception. I prefer Santa's Enchanted Forest, or even the Palm Beach County Fair.
  17. Interesting, no wonder Premier only has a new coaster every blue moon, they push maintenance services more than their rides.
  18. The DL didn't work for me, but that was my end. (Having a strange problem with connection resets.) But I personally appreciate this sheer awesomeness, and yes, I would pay $5 for downloadable content of this magnitude. Hollah!
  19. If I didn't have to work, I would have been there. All my friends went and said it was awesome, and now i can see it. Thanks for sharing!
  20. I agree, I've never seen a ride catalog so detailed. Thanks Shane.
  21. We are so kicking everyone's butt! VOTED!
  22. Huss is one of my personal favorites! Growing up, it just seemed coincidental that most of my favorite flats were Huss rides, my all-time favorite being Rainbow. I wouldn't get too excited about Delirium. It's geared as a family ride, and I personally think it too elaborate mechanically for a family flat to ever be sold.
  23. OMG Scott! That is the very first time I've ever seen a picture of Thunderbolt's missing hill. AWESOME!
  24. I thought the original plan was for the ascent to the top of the second hill to be a double up. (But I could be wrong.) Actually, your description is more accurate. The bunny-hopper was to end higher than it started, flowing into the second hill. The design though would have pretty much eliminated the straight-away since it was a pretty big double-up.
