Twister II

Well every year, around Halloween, me, my aunt, my 2 cousins, and usually a friend go to Six Flags Elitch Gardens on the last operating weekend. But we decided to go one weekend early today. Before we actually got to Six Flags we went to have lunch at The Emperous, which is Dim Sum. For those of you who dont know what it is, its Chineese food that is brouhgt around on a cart, and you just choose something off of it, and the waiter/waitress, will just make what you had on your bill! It was actually really good! Even Elissa friendly! Then after we lived our lives as ACEr's for a while, we went to Elitch's. Of course, people in Denver dont know how to park, so when we opened our doors, we were playing bumper cars (or bumper doors). Then we had to park at the very last spot, in the very last row, the very farthest from the park. But at least no cars around! The employees were actually nice to let us use expired free tickets. As I got into the park, the Fight Fest decorations were sparce, just here and there. I took the my two cousins, and went on Batman(Batwing), the swing type ride. They were training a new girl it looked like and we bounced up and down for a while, then we finally took off! But when we were suppose to go down, we just sat there. 100ft off the ground, just still. Sence I wasn't with the kids, of course I was worried. But I didnt hear any screaming! So that was good. Me and the two kids headed over to Twister II. One of them rode while the other just watched. The one that rode was 6, the one that watched was also 6. Twister was just brutal, just horable in the morning. Then again, we got stuck! The train just, stopped 1/2 way into the station, while our car was still on the traspher track. We met up again with auntie, and the 3 kids and aunt watched me do XLR8R, the sky coaster. Then I finally got some time alone. I went to Sidewinder. Walk on. I got 2 rerides, and was offered a third, but turned it down and went to the Sling Shot. It actually wasn't that thrilling... I got on Flying Hell Chamber once, didn't want to torture myself anymore than I have. Walked over to Mind Eraser, got some pretty awsome shots. And got a walk on ride. No rerides, 1. line to long, 2. I was still hurting form Flying Hell Chamber. Made my way over to Halfpipe, suprisingly they gave me an "ok" for me to ride with the camera. Got some good shots of HP too. And walked my 20ft over to Boomerang. Got a few rerides. Then fianlly went to check in with auntie. Went back to Tower of Doom, once again, they gave me the "ok" with the camera! Suprising especially when they say, "Open your hands and mouth" And fianlly got one last ride on Twister, I didnt bother to take my camera on it, sence the guy in the morning said that I couldn't. Overall, good day. Just perfect weather, not to hot, not to cold. All the ops and employees were really friendly today. I got an "ok" on every ride except Twister for the camera, strange. AHH! yea! Elitch's! In the very last parking spot! This is when you know your in Ghetto Land, there are movies, you have never even heard of! If you know your McD's this is a recration of the first McD's in California. But right across the street, a REAL Elissa approved resturant! Grrrr. I'm am evil chineese pinching crab, not GIVE ME SOME CANDY! Even watch your pork being pulled outta the pig! ACEr friendly resturant! Wow, I was right! This resturant is even in ACE! So, either 1: ACEr approved, or 2: Its Orca approved. Yea! First destination, ACEr paridise! 99s in Colorado! Ok, from nice ol' Denver, to ghetto land! Again, but before Elitch's, Dim Sum! I see Six Flags! Of course, when you are running 15minutes late, you hit EVERY red light on your way. Our 3 kiddo's, L-R, Riley, Keagon, and Avery.

The only trimming on coaster Ive noticed that was to much was Mantis. Those breaks on the first drop just ruin the loop. Mean Streak, geeze, those breaks on top just don't feel right!

I was there three weeks ago and the Choas cars were being dismanteled. Ive been thinking about doing that for some time now. I may do it when its lunch break or right before we leave. Robb got his camera on, but then again that was early in the morning as soon as the park opened. I wont get til the park til about 1hour after opening. Whoh, what images are you looking at? Taking a look at Google Earth, the Choas spot has gotta be like 30x30 or so. Not unless they take the pavilons out, which no one even uses. only 1 part of the wall remains. Cars are dismanteled. You can see the sign saying new attraction in 2006 in the bottom, right corner.

Yea, I do need some better shots of Sidewinder. 1. Jeff couldn't say under lieability issues 2. SWAT?! I dought that SFEG would even spend that much. But I'll do my absolute best!

Im going to SFEG tomorrow. And it is going to be my last visit of the season (that I know of). Im bringing my camera. So any thing that anything anyone wants to see more of? Or would like to see in the video competition for next year?

Well just be aware that the MTV's Real World WILL be filming in Key West for the next season. (Real World: Key West) Thats not really a good thing, and not really a bad thing I guess.

UPDATE 10/19/05 Ok in the local news paper today, there was an artical saying that at 12:00PM yesterday saying that Six Flags Executive Manager quitting. And no other than what his next job in the amusement industry, Thrill Gardens. At a press conferecne held at the Pilmore Audotorum today at 3:00PM, he took questions from the press. Questions and awnswers were as followed: Q: "What are you plans for Thrill Gardens?" A: "Thrill Gardens was 'the park' of yesterday, and now, it is my job to make it the park of 'today'. Bringing in new, advanced, thrilling features to this historical park." Q: "Who are you planning on partnering with?" A: "Because of low costs, we decided to partner with Woodie Wonders, and if you know, the company Georgia Steel created." Q: "What ever happened to the wooden rollercoaster that was in the park?" I filmed this over the season, starting in late May and going about every other 2 weeks. My most recent of filming was Augest (16th?) when Robb and Elissa visited. Last time I was at SFEG, Choas had a wall around it, the cars were off, and dismanteled. The Twister II old cars (or at least the front one) was donated to the ACE museum. Chances are they will be acutioned off.

Maybe its just me, but running a theme park is A LOT different than a baseball game.

I only know of 1, and that was Deamon at SFGAmer. The reason was because of a broken wheel axle, which just happend to stop the train on the loop.
